About the Hotel
Set on a two and a half-hectare site with 200 metres of frontage on the fabled Perfume River, Azerai La Residence, Hue has 122 rooms & suites. The colonial mansion at the heart of the resort was built in 1930s as part of the residence of the French Resident Superieure. The mansion’s distinctive façade, its long horizonal lines and nautical flourishes are hallmark of the streamline moderne school of art deco architecture. Its two complementary wings, built in 2005, are contemporary in design yet echo elements of art deco aesthetics and embrace an expansive tropical garden and salt-water swimming pool.

Wonderfully relaxing massage at Azerai La Residence Spa
A very relaxing back, neck and shoulder massage at the Azerai La Residence Spa this afternoon. Thanks to Ms Y and Ms A for the treatments- just what we needed after a morning of travelling.

Lovely Historic Hotel
This is an art deco gem that has been perfectly restored and updated and staffed with attentive and happy people. The hotel has beautiful grounds on the Perfume River and is an easy walk through the riverside park and across the river to the lovely and peaceful Imperial City. We arranged the stay and private transfer directly with the hotel which was easy to do. Our driver met us at the Danang Airport and drove us to Hue through the beautiful scenery. We had a Colonial Suite: Voyage en Chine which was huge and stunning. It was perfectly appointed in art deco style with period furniture and details and had a vast curved terrace looking over the grounds, pool, and river toward the Imperial City. The stay included an excellent breakfast and minibar drinks and snacks, along with snacks set out in the room. All staff at the hotel were very helpful and pleasure to speak with. We enjoyed the beautiful, period perfect bar and tasty cocktails as well as a delicious dinner in the hotel’s restaurant. We felt that the hotel was an excellent value and our only regret was that we could not stay longer than one night. We would love to return to Hue and, were we to do so, we would definitely stay here again!

Luxury with old world chsrm
This hotel is outstanding. It's perfect for those wanting old world charm AND luxury. I was fortunate also to have a full body massage in Le Spa with therapist, Su, and it was one of the best I've ever experienced. Don't miss a drink at the most beautifully furnished bar, breakfast is a great way to experience Hue food and hotel concierge and reception staff are just perfect, being knowledgeable and so warm in their approach. We'll be back and telling our friends back home to add it to their list of accommodation options when next in Vietnam 🇻🇳. Thank you to everyone at La Residence.
