Reviews for Pasea Hotel & Spa

Great location, bad smelling bathroom

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 1 day ago

Overall I had a nice experience with my husband at Paséa Hotel. However the bathroom smelt so badly of chlorine every time I used the restroom I had to hurry in and out due to the strong odor. I thought it was because I was pregnant that I was sensitive to it but my husband pointed it out too. Made our noses itch and eyes water. Probably wouldn’t stay here again, but again the hotel has a wonderful environment

Terrible Customer Service and Dirty Room

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 3 days ago

This is my first negative review because it was such a bad experience, and it completely ruined what was supposed to be a special anniversary trip. We called ahead to check on an early check-in through AMEX privileges and was informed this is possible. I want to emphasize that we understand that early check-in for this “resort” is strictly based on availability and never guaranteed, but the unprofessional customer service we received was entirely uncalled for. When we arrived after 1:00PM, the blonde, elderly front desk agent was incredibly rude, inconsiderate, and clearly hated her job. She informed our room was not ready and offered absolutely no hospitality or basic service, and she didn't even bother to mention that we could use the pool amenities while we waited. The only reason we even knew pool access was an option was because the bellman handling the bags politely let us know. However, due to the incredibly unwelcoming vibe at the front desk, we didn't even want to stay on the property. We ended up just walking around the nearby shops and grabbing a bite to eat while we waited. When my husband went back at 3:15PM to politely check on the room status, the same agent snapped at him in a miserable, sharp tone, saying, "Did you receive a text message? If you didn’t I can’t help you." We completely understand if a room isn't ready, but a little transparency and basic respect regarding the wait time would have gone a long way. Instead, that level of blunt hostility and the complete refusal to even look into it for us was extremely disappointing after a six hour flight. It was also incredibly uncomfortable to watch her interact with her coworkers. She spoke to the other employees in a harsh, bullying manner, and the rest of the staff seemed visibly scared of her. Shocked by the horrible customer service, I walked up to the front desk at 3:45PM to grab the travel advisor card with the QR code to leave a review. As soon as she saw me take it, her demeanor completely flipped. She suddenly acted shocked that we hadn't been accommodated yet, even though she had been the one refusing to help us the entire day and quickly sent another staff member over to ask if we had checked in. It was incredibly transparent that she only changed her attitude to cover her tracks once she realized her behavior was being documented. While the location is great, it is extremely loud due to the street and traffic noise. Furthermore, the hotel itself was extremely dirty and definitely not a 4-star resort. As you can see in the attached photos, the air filters were filthy, which caused our AC unit to start making a loud, disruptive noise. We opted to not use the AC due to the noise and the overall cleanliness of our room was appalling. Lorea was a great restaurant with great service, but the front desk completely ruined the overall hospitality experience. We are extremely disappointed, and we will take our business elsewhere in the future.
