March get away

Overall good experience and would come again. Pool bar staff could use some help and the cost to rend a daybed at the pool is ridicules.

Stopped here with a couple of girlfriends and got seats at the bar of Treehouse. Frank was so friendly and courteous! Oue favorite part of the night. Our food and drinks came quickly and was delicious! Would highly recommend this spot! Their happy hour is also amazing.

Frank is literally THE best at Treehouse! I mean all the bartenders were incredible so you can’t go wrong. But Frank really went above and beyond! We LOVE YOU Frank! Don’t ever change boo! And get whatever drinks he recommend!

Mixed review, not sure if we will book again

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 1 day ago

This is going to be a very mixed review. You always pay an extra premium to stay at a hotel with a pool with a beach view but, it is what we love so, we are willing to pay the extra expense to enjoy the resort style amenities. Unfortunately, the pool is very problematic. Half the pool seating area is cabanas and lounge beds that you have to pay hundreds to rent for the day. That leaves only half the loungers for the entire resort to use. It was extremely difficult, if not impossible, to get loungers by the pool when we were there in March 17-21. We found out why. It appears that Hotel Pasea offers a “resort pass” that allows people outside the hotel to have full use of the pool all day. There were numerous groups of people, not staying at the hotel and hogging up tons of loungers. What they do is have one person pay for a day pass and then they let in 5 or 6 people with them. One of the groups even brought their own speaker and were playing music which was annoying because the pool plays its own music all day so, we had to sit there with two different types of music competing against each other all day. So, not only are they hogging up the loungers the hotel guests should have use of, they are obnoxious as well. The hotel pool is the main reason we booked this hotel. We loved the pool overlooking the beach and were looking for some quiet R&R by the pool. The hotel does not monitor who is using the resort pass and how many people they let in. We had to just give up one day and not do the pool. I think that the hotel would only sell those passes on low booking days at the hotel but, we happened to be there the first week of spring break and the hotel was at full capacity and they were still selling those resort passes. It really isn’t the moneymaker the hotel thinks it is when only one person pays and lets 5 or 6 other people in. I hope they stop participating in these resort passes because hotel guests pay a daily resort fee and expect to be able to enjoy the pool. On another note, there is no blended drinks from the poolside bar. We love a good pina colada when on vacation. On to the good points. Although the hotel is not very aesthetic from the outside, it is clean and lovely on the inside. The rooms were very clean, quiet and comfortable. The lobby is nice and relaxing. We liked the restaurant Lorea for breakfast, but their coffee is like water. I hope they will get better quality coffee. This was our second stay at this hotel and we had two rooms. The first stay was the first week of December. We did not have the pool problems because, although the weather was beautiful, there was hardly anyone at the pool. From our experience during spring break I can only imagine that this is a problem all through summer too. I really hope the management rethinks participating in resort pass and puts their actual hotel guests’ needs first. Although we really liked this hotel, we will have to rethink if we would book again due to the pool issues.
