Adriana, Hvar Spa Hotel

The Adriana, one of several Suncani owned hotels in Hvar, is the flagship on the harbor with incredible water, marina, town, cathedral, and fortress views. The best rooms are on the 4th floor, where several years ago they turned part of the top floor bar into 3 amazing rooms (much more modern, better bathrooms, and incredible water facing balconies). We have stayed here for the last 10 years (other than 2020) and have appreciated both the hotel, the people, and the location very much. It is very central to town and the marina, and the walking path along the water starts here. You have access to the sister hotel beaches and beach clubs as well. The restaurant is fine dining and is excellent, and is one of the few with direct water views. It is one of the most special and splendid spots to sit under an awning for breakfast. We especially appreciate the help from Nina at Reception, who remembers nuances of what repeat guests prefer and makes sure that the hotel team pays attention to making those things happen. She is very professional and gracious, with reassuring leadership in solving problems and ensuring that guests enjoy their stay. Darota in Housekeeping is equally helpful in her domain, keeping the rooms spotless and providing extra towels, slippers, or whatever you ask her for. The team that helps with luggage are very professional and go out of their way to help -- Thank you to Tomislav, Ante, Gabriel, and Anteo. Breakfast – same as prior years, and same buffet choices every day. Fresh vegetables, especially peppers, and fresh melon, especially cantaloupe, are wonderful. Omelettes are also good. Would be good to have more variety from day to day for guests who are staying for multiple days, and also to have more healthy low calorie / high protein choices (like hard boiled eggs). Kristina, the manager, is wonderful and makes sure you have what you would like. Lucia is also very helpful. The setting right on the water under the awning is one of the prettiest in the world. There is a pool and small gym as well. See you next year, we hope!

Returning to Adriana Hvar Spa Hotel for a second stay only confirmed what we already knew—this is our favorite place to stay in Hvar!!! This trip we treated ourselves to the Adriana Terrace Spa Suite, and we were absolutely blown away. The room was stunning, but the private terrace truly stole the show. The views overlooking Hvar were simply unmatched, and it quickly became one of our favorite places to relax after a day of exploring. From the moment we stepped off the ferry, we were reminded why we love this hotel so much. The staff immediately took care of our luggage, making our arrival completely effortless. Their hospitality never goes unnoticed, and they even surprised us with a bottle of wine waiting in our room, which was such a thoughtful touch. One thing we look forward to every time we stay here is the breakfast. It is, without question, one of the best hotel breakfasts we've ever had. The variety, quality, and beautiful setting make it something we genuinely look forward to each morning. What makes the Adriana so special isn't just the beautiful rooms or the incredible location—it's the people. Every member of the staff goes out of their way to make you feel welcome and to ensure you have the best possible experience in Hvar. After two summers, it truly feels like a home away from home. Leaving Hvar is never easy, and checking out of the Adriana was the hardest part of our trip. We already can't wait to plan our next visit, and there's no question where we'll be staying. As long as we're visiting Hvar in the summer, the Adriana will always be our hotel of choice.

I'm quite annoyed that I'm chasing a refund for a cancelled boat excursion after a month's time. I've been promised a refund by staff, but it's not been executed. Raising the issue to the general manager did nothing - no response at all. How disappointing. Terrible lack of customer service. Watch your dealings with this property and all the sister properties on Hvar.

Just perfect , the staff are all so lovely and helpful. The welcome drink was a very nice touch which was repeated when we went into the restaurant which serves excellent food at a very fair price, and again the service is excellent. The hotel is in such a fabulous position and it’s a lovely place to sit and relax and people watch. The cocktail bar on the roof top is a fabulous place to relax and have delicious cocktails. The pool area is also lovely, with towels already on the beds for you. Our room was spotless and the bed was comfy with high quality bedding. We had no noise issues even though we were sea facing and highly recommend this hotel, we get It should be 5* hotel as it really is a very special place to enjoy Hvar.

Only had time to stay for two nights, but overall was impressed. Room was slightly tight but I think that is to be expected in the area. The highlight of this hotel is the location, which honestly is perfect if you want to be right by the action but not on top of it (keep in mind if you book a sea view it will be loud). The breakfast was amazing, and the decor throughout the common spaces was perfect. Had dinner at the restaurant which was also quite good. I agree with other reviews that the bathroom situation is poorly designed/tight. Staff was very friendly and helpful. I feel like the cost/value during the high season met expectations and I would happily return.
