Adriana, Hvar Spa Hotel

Great location. Desk staff are helpful and always present. There is a nice pool and workout area and a pretty roof top bar. The only drawback is the ridiculously high charge for laundry—do it somewhere else!

Incredible location in beautiful Hvar. You can step off of one of the fast, Kat, fairies or Private yacht chargers, and be greeted by an attentive staff who will bring all of your bags and have them available for you in your room. Upon arrival you greeted with a welcome Prosecco. The rooms are massive with extremely clean and modern facilities. Customer service was next level good. I made a mistake on my Expedia booking with regards to the date, but the front desk staff kindly honored the price that I had and changed the date for me and also canceled my Expedia reservation on my behalf without any charges despite being within 48 hours. This was truly remarkable given my previous experience with third-party bookings. My only very minor criticism is that the hotel was somewhat Americanized, so you did lose a little bit of the authentic Dalmatian coast feel of smaller boutique hotels That being said, the added flexibility, large rooms, and exceptional. Customer service certainly made this Hotel a highlight. Given the location and amenities. I would also say that it is very well priced.

I would never stay at this hotel again. If you are sensitive to mold/mildew, I recommend that you stay at another hotel. Our first room was gross, with a lot of mildew between the toilet area and the tub. I could barely stand to look at it. The general manager was very helpful in getting us another room and it looked much better, but slowly I realized there is mold inside the glass between the water closet and the bedroom in this second room. It is hard to see until you have been in the room a day or two. Given this, I surmise there is mold in all rooms. The hotel needs a renovation or at least a mold check in every room. Although I showed the manager the mold in the first room and he acknowledged it needed to be addressed, I noticed they checked in guests to that room either later that day or the next day. This mold would not have been able to be addressed in a day, it would be required to take the tub out to be able to fix it. This isn’t a way to treat guests. I came away with a sinus infection that I needed antibiotics to cure. I would have given this hotel a 1 star if it were not for the wonderful staff and general manager. They were very apologetic about the mildew situation in the first room – there was no hesitation in moving us to another room and we really appreciated the speedy attention to that – plus a comped dinner. The restaurant servers are wonderful (a special call out to Goran! He was super.) The location of the hotel is fabulous, as was the view of the harbor, so it really depends on what is important to you. I personally care more about my health.

Amazing location. View from the room was outstanding. Very small rooms. It needs some refreshing (carpet in rooftop bar was dirty and the material was hanging from the bottoms of the chairs. Staff was friendly and helpful, although ordering breakfast was slow, and my husband did not get what he had ordered. Ordering in the bar was very slow too. Very average.

The Adriana, one of several Suncani owned hotels in Hvar, is the flagship on the harbor with incredible water, marina, town, cathedral, and fortress views. The best rooms are on the 4th floor, where several years ago they turned part of the top floor bar into 3 amazing rooms (much more modern, better bathrooms, and incredible water facing balconies). We have stayed here for the last 10 years (other than 2020) and have appreciated both the hotel, the people, and the location very much. It is very central to town and the marina, and the walking path along the water starts here. You have access to the sister hotel beaches and beach clubs as well. The restaurant is fine dining and is excellent, and is one of the few with direct water views. It is one of the most special and splendid spots to sit under an awning for breakfast. We especially appreciate the help from Nina at Reception, who remembers nuances of what repeat guests prefer and makes sure that the hotel team pays attention to making those things happen. She is very professional and gracious, with reassuring leadership in solving problems and ensuring that guests enjoy their stay. Darota in Housekeeping is equally helpful in her domain, keeping the rooms spotless and providing extra towels, slippers, or whatever you ask her for. The team that helps with luggage are very professional and go out of their way to help -- Thank you to Tomislav, Ante, Gabriel, and Anteo. Breakfast – same as prior years, and same buffet choices every day. Fresh vegetables, especially peppers, and fresh melon, especially cantaloupe, are wonderful. Omelettes are also good. Would be good to have more variety from day to day for guests who are staying for multiple days, and also to have more healthy low calorie / high protein choices (like hard boiled eggs). Kristina, the manager, is wonderful and makes sure you have what you would like. Lucia is also very helpful. The setting right on the water under the awning is one of the prettiest in the world. There is a pool and small gym as well. See you next year, we hope!
