Absolutely beautiful hotel and incredible service! Overall great stay and fabulous staff. My encounters with Niki and Jo were both amazing, very professional and friendly service from start to finish would highly recommend. Oh and the Asian Shrimp Salad is a must.

Not 5*. Don't believe their website & socials. Stay away.

STAY AWAY. This hotel is not the fantasy they sell on their website and social media, it’s closer to nightmare. There is nothing "Grand Luxe" about it. It definitely should NOT be a Leading Hotels of the World member. The hotel may have been 5 stars at one point, but it is way past its prime days. CONDITION OF HOTEL & ROOMS: Clearly poorly constructed, the hotel was not going to look good for long without serious maintenance program which is clearly not being implemented. Plastic is cracked faded and broken. Wood is splintered, chipped and used. Metal is scratched and rusted. Tile is cracked. Lights are burnt. Ceiling in hallway has water damage repair that was never fully completed. Furniture in the rooms is old, worn and low quality. We didn't even have a head board. Moldings have separated from the wall. We were in the 3rd highest category suite and there was no floor or desk lamp and didn't even have a desk chair. It was a bench you could injure yourself on if you didn’t sit exactly in the middle. The overly complicated light controls are jammed and do not work properly. Missing pillow on the couch. walk in closet light would not turn off. Mechanical shades opened and closed on their own. No charging outlets or available electricity outlets near the beds. Rooftop pool is supposed to be adults only - kids playing with a ball. The pool is not chilled and the “water feature pool” is a little dirty. Uneven wood planks makes it difficult to safely walk on the deck. Splintered wood along the edges of the pool. SERVICE LEVEL: I asked the roof top bar tender if there was a pool attendant for towels and chairs - he looked at me like I was an alien… this is supposed to be a 5 star hotel? I would not recommend it, nor stay here again. Run away. The whole place is being run by 20 year olds. One employee even told me that it was his first and last season working at the hotel because of poor management. I didn’t see one adult. They are friendly and try, but it’s just not 5 star professional service. Emailed concierge twice about restaurants several weeks before arriving - never received a response. I called the concierge during our stay to ask if he could attempt to modify an existing reservation that I made, and instead of saying “sure, I can look up the restaurant and call them on your behalf”, he said “I have no idea about this restaurant, sorry”. After complaints via e-mail, the Experience Manager offered a complimentary night our next stay, but didn't offer further solution when I declined her offer. During high season on a Friday evening they had no one monitoring the taxi line and guests were arguing about who had the next taxi. Even a chalk board would solve this issue. UNRELIABLE UTILITIES: The power was intermittent often times, and every time the power went out, the AC reset, so we got back to a hot room several times. All throughout our stay the hotel was having issues with their AC while it was 34°C / 93°F outside. One night the cold air stopped altogether around 11PM and only resumed around 5AM. The 3rd day the plumbing started malfunctioning. Fluctuating extreme hot & cold water made it very difficult to shower. False fire alarms going off. All this his during a 3 day stay. Just horrible. I'm sure the Melia across the street would have been better. If you're a world traveler used to true 5 star everything, do not stay here.

Terrible!Terrible!Terrible!

Before you read this, do pay attention to the other recent 1 and 2 star reviews they absolutely highlight the shambles this hotel is in. It’s your holiday so do make a wise decision. Stayed for 3 nights. Upon check-in you could feel the lobby of the hotel is not cool at all highlighting the infective Aircon. Room - We spent our first night in a hot corner room (131) with faulty air conditioning which didn’t cool the room. Horrible first night. We complained about it as soon as we first entered the room we mentioned to the bell boy that the room is unusually hot and were told it was due to as its a corner room and curtains have been open and it faces the sun and it should cool down soon. We closed all the curtains and fast forward 45 mins the room was just not cooling and the internal thermostat was at 35c. We called and were told someone from maintenance will attend. Another 30-40 mins pass no one attends another call to Front Desk to be told to wait another 15+ minutes. The technician finally attended and found the balcony door is not correctly locked. We didn’t open or use the balcony even for a second so likely it would have been like this since last guest stayed or since housekeeping did the room, who should have definitely noticed. The safe in the room didn’t lock. You put in your code and then it goes to locked followed by unlocked. Tried a few times but it didn’t work. Housekeeping here is another issue more on it later. Another hour passes, and the room becomes slightly better albeit still hot. We stepped out of the hotel for 4-5 hours in the hope of returning to a nice cool room, but no, the room was still warm we again called front desk, they said someone will attend. It was past 11PM by then and we were tired after a long day of travel, so tried to just sleep through the night and kept waking up due to sub optimal room temperature The following day, we approached front desk asking to speak to a manager as the staff throughout have shown lack of skills in managing the situation. We spoke to Sophia from guest experience who was kind of enough to inspect the room and accept the faulty air-conditioning and changed our room with working air-conditioning. We thought that was the end of it, but no, we were destined to experience the state of poor maintenance through out the property starting with, when we wanted to place a room service order, the phone in the room didn't work. There are 2 phones, 1 in the bed and other in bath, to our shock neither of them worked, so no way to complaint to anyone about issues experienced and no way to get some food in the room so went down to lobby to place the order. The smart TV could not be connected to room wifi so couldn’t use any of the apps nor we could cast as both the TV and phone had to be connected to the same dedicated room wifi network which never worked during our stay. Bath - The drain cover of the shower was open. Photo attached. This is absolutely unacceptable I don’t know what their housekeeping staff, supervisor and executive housekeeper (assuming they have one) are doing? How can a room with open drain cover be let out to customer is beyond me. The towel handle near the bidet was broken and that broken piece was kept right there in the toilet section. The shower floor was very rough on the edges due to poor maintenance and caused a bruise to my spouse. Service - The service is extremely slow, lousy with inattentive staff who tend to forget orders and requests. Requesed room service for tabasco sauce with food, but never received, placed an egg order at breakfast, didn’t arrive for 15-20mins on follow-up were told what did we order again as they forget so placed so need to know the order again. Later, ordered pancakes, didnt show-up for 15mins on follow-up were asked can we please repeat our order they are cooking it now. 2nd Room service order which was made via lobby phone asked for burger with no tomato but came with tomato. My god, what is going on with this property? Stale fruit - 2 of 3/4 melon type served in the breakfast were giving of smell and were stale. Informed the staff on duty and were told they will let kitchen know. This was an absolutely horrible stay. I don’t want to speculate on what may be causing this? Lack of funding, cost cutting etc etc but no one in the world one would expect the experience we got from a 5 star SLH hotel. Someone please remind them L stands for Luxury. The hotel’s 5 star & SLH accreditation needs to be reviewed and challenged. Filed a complaint with Hilton Diamond and SLH. I’m still astonished that this hotel is part of SLH! TLDR - don’t stay here.

A terrible experience. During Ibiza’s intense heatwave, the A/C wasn’t working. WE WERE BAKING. Instead of coming back to your supposed 5-star hotel (with 5-star prices) and being welcomed by a fresh, cool room, it was hotter than outside. Our 4-year old *literally* woke up in the middle of the night from heat crying until we put her in front a janky fan that the hotel staff gave us. The staff was great, they were doing their best, but more than one staff member informed us that their hands are tied and couldn’t help us. I never experienced this before, but more than once hotel staff encouraged us to leave the hotel and go somewhere else. From what we’ve been able to gather, the hotel was great a decade ago, and the ownership no longer invests any money and it’s gone down the drain in the past few years. The hotel was dirty, the finishes were not nice, the hotel looked aged, the view sucked, the pool felt like a jacuzzi, the design was lackluster. We got the hell out of there as fast as we could. Had an absolutely wonderful experience at the ME hotel.
