Hotel has gone downhill massively. We stayed here a couple years ago and had a lovely time but this hotel has a massive issue with cleanliness. Dirty, musty smelling rooms with pubic hairs left on the bedding. Just as others have mentioned but noting has improved form replying to these reviews.

I stayed in this hotel from the 23rd to the 26th of September 2025 as a solo traveller attending a conference in the convention centre directly opposite the hotel and for reasons of public safety, I would advise not to stay here. When I entered my room (217 on the second floor), I was met with a strong musty smell. The room felt and smelled damp and mouldy. When I came to go to bed, I noticed curly hairs on the bed, marks, fluff and dust. Owing to the time that I went to bed and clocked these, I slept on the other side of the bed and hoped that housekeeping would change the bedding the next day as I was heading to the conference. Throughout my first full day, I developed lots of red and very sore and itchy bites on my ankles and legs. I assumed I’d been bitten by mosquitos and went to the local pharmacy to get cream. Over the following two days I became more and more bitten. I now know, having returned home to the UK, that they were bed bugs. Having spoken to other conference delegates, approximately six other residents of the same hotel have experienced exactly the same things. Given the severity of my bites, I am now having to take antibiotics to reduce the swelling, itchiness and pain. The hotel overall is tired and dated. They’ve let things slip and I now know that their hotel is riddled with bugs that are very hungry. I would appreciate a refund for what I have experienced and endured. I have reported my findings to the hotel both by email and contact form and wanted to do the decent thing and give them an opportunity to respond. They have not responded and so I feel no choice but to report it here and warn others of what awaits them in the bedsheets.

We arrived to a hotel that seems to have passed its sell by date. The room itself wasn’t clean with the bathroom having mold and hair left from a previous visitor. The sockets in the room work when they feel like it and the phone didn’t work meaning I had to go down to reception multiple times. Every time I showered the bathroom and main room would flood. This is not a 5 star hotel it’s more like a 2 or 3 star hotel. The pool looks like something from Benidorm and there is no sea view. The coffee is undrinkable the tea is luke warm and honestly this is a total let down. The staff told me I could pay for an upgrade if I didn’t like my unclean room which is ridiculous customer service. Do not come. There are a million beautiful hotels on this island and this isn’t one of them.

I stayed at Aguas de Ibiza Grand Luxe Hotel with my wife; it was our 3rd visit in consecutive years. Our stay didn’t start off great, I’d booked a junior suite with sea view but was allocated a suite with a pool view, I explained this to reception but was told it was the correct room, as it was late I had no choice to stay in the room. The following morning, I spoke to the duty manager, who again tried to fob me off with a low-quality room. Once I explained I’d stayed at the hotel twice before, reception should have this information and know the difference I was eventually given the correct room. Over the past 3 years the quality of service has dropped, for example, reception should’ve known I’d stayed before, we had to ask for our room to be cleaned twice, our bathrobes went missing, my wife asked for an iron, 4 times, it was never delivered to our room, I could keep going on. The issue of poor service lies with the management, after speaking to some staff members it was obvious morale amongst staff is very low, which impacts on the service they deliver, this needs to be addressed. Some of the staff were excellent and couldn’t do enough for you, in particular those working in the poolside restaurant, we found them very helpful and always willing to help. Reception staff need to go on customer service training, particularly Alexandro, I felt he went out of his way to be unhelpful. Please please please address the issue of umbrellas around the pool, they are so large and cumbersome the lifeguard had to put them off, which obviously took him away from the job he was employed to do. It wasn’t all bad, the roof top bar was excellent, although the poor layout of the tables needs to be addressed, also you need another bar man. The main restaurant on the roof is excellent, I really loved the food, location and service. Breakfast was excellent, great choice of eggs, cold meats, pastries and cereals. I would have two people at the desk, reduce delays getting to you table. My review might sound picky but if you’re advertising yourself as a five star hotel you need to provide that level of service.

Our second stay and this hotel and again it delivered with 5 stars, we had a bit nightmare start with the airline failing to deliver our baggage when we arrived at the airport, when we arrived at the hotel we spoke with reception (Delphine and Andrea) and they literally leapt into action and contacted the Iberian airline and chased for us on numerous occasions to provide tracking as to when we would see our bags. They were absolutely awesome and gave what a I would call a world class service, these ladies are a real credit to an overall fantastic team at the Aguas who cannot do enough to ensure that your stay is a wonderful experience. Our bags were delivered the following day and the reception called us straight away and ensured they were sent to our room immediately, on top of that so many of the staff remembered us from last year and went out of their way to come over to say hi and ask how we were enjoying the facilities. We plan to return next year to this hotel and thoroughly look forward to spending time there again.
