The hotel itself is nice but the service is lousy. We arrived at 2pm with children and our room should have been ready for check in at 3pm. Nearly 6pm until we got our room. We had to sit and wait for 3 hours, It was unacceptable. They barely even apologised. Seem like a regular occurrence. Lots of unhappy people sat around waiting for rooms that are not ready on time. One of our children smashed one of the provided glass water bottles in the room. shards of glass were absolutely everywhere, we called down expecting someone to come. Noone did, an hour later we called again, no one came again, we offered to come and get a brush ourselves, concerned our little one would cut her feet. They didnt allow it. We went out for dinner, still noone came to sort the glass hours later. We called down again, eventually some came and got the majority of it up but we were still dodging shards of glass for the next day. Despite leaving 'please clean" signs on our door, house keeping kept missing our room. The breakfast experience was usually fine, but on one of the days our order of omelettes was completely forgotten, we kept asking how long it would be to be told the kitchen was busy, after an hour of waiting, we upped and left without eating because we had a reservation to get to. I fed these complaints to staff as things happened and i even visited the reception to complain about the multiple poor experiences, and no one really did anything, on check out i mentioned our experience hadn't been great and was handed a comment card.

Very disappointed with this hotel and wish I had listened to the reviews. The breakfast is below average, room service served us cold food on every occasion and the staff were not helpful. There was a fire alarm in the early hours of one morning which continued for over an hour. There were no staff to guide the guests and no announcements made to let us know that this was a false alarm. We, along with many other guests made our way down the emergency exit only to find that the emergency staircase was full of boxes and chairs. If this was a real fire, then having a staircase which is not clear could have been fatal. Additionally, one of the doors which would have led us to the outdoors was locked. Eventually, we found our way out. We stood outside for 20 minutes. There were no staff to be seen. A complete shambles. The spa changing rooms were dirty and smelt. It completely put us off and we didn't use this facility. Money was taken from my account which I did not authorise and I had to call the hotel on numerous occasions to ask about the charges but I received no help. Eventually after the 10th call, I had to threaten them with legal action before I got a response. Do not stay here. There are plenty of other hotels in Ibiza.

Avoid if you dont have kids. I went for a moderately priced room - still 400+ a night and while it had generous proportions, we had a view of a building site and had neighbours who thought it OK to party on their balcony all night. Luckily we changed rooms half way though the stay but the bed was uncomfortable so still didnt sleep well. The pool is a no go area as it is impossible to get a sunlounger, and even if you could you would have to endure 30 screaming kids running around. The roof terrace is lovely but you dont have to be a resident to get up there. But one of the main problems with this hotel is the ego of the clientele. Flashy, loud and entitled with zero by way of manners. This was a special occasion and I wished I'd stayed at the trusty Tres Torres which has hard beds but a peaceful and friendly atmosphere with great service and food, and a better location. If you have a huge ego and the funds for a sea view suite then you'd probably still be better off at the Melia.

Very disappointed at complete lack of follow up regarding an expensive item we left in our hotel room. I realised only a few hours after we left and contacted the hotel via email, I recieved no response. My husband has been calling repeatedly for days and asking for a manager and has been told he will be called back and absolutely nothing has been done. As aware as we are that our valuables are our own responsibility it is shocking to think that because something was left behind we should just forget about it. Be very careful not to forget anything as clearly the hotel believe in finders keepers and have no duty of care towards their guests once they vacate the hotel. Not even so much as a courtesy call to say they didn't find the item. We know exactly where it was left so where is it and what has been done to look into this ?

We’ve been here for 5 hours and our room is still not ready. We contacted the hotel in advance to inform them we would be arriving very early, since flights from Frankfurt are constantly being cancelled and rescheduled for 5 a.m. They said they would do their best, but we haven’t seen any real effort from the staff to speed up the process. Only two receptionists have been friendly — all the others have been rude and unhelpful, giving us no information. The staff at the restaurant by the pool, however, have been lovely and the food is delicious. We are here with two children, and I’ve already seen many other guests complaining. Lots of people are waiting around the pool with no idea of what’s going on. Ibiza has many wonderful hotels with impeccable service. Don’t make the mistake of coming to this hotel. It’s definitely not a 5-star experience! It’s a shame, but this hotel has serious management issues and is simply not worth it.
