Reviews for Aguas de Ibiza

Poor aftercare

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 2 days ago

We had a lovely holiday at the hotel but had an extremely bad experience since we got back! We settled the bill in full for additional restaurant/bar use on check out. However, I found a random €47 charge on my current account from the hotel when I returned home with no email or explanation. When I called, they said it was for the mini bar use on the last day. Now we never used the mini bar the whole holiday and checked out at lunchtime (in fact we had lunch/ soft drinks at the hotel) and the receptionist apologised and said they would refund it. I have now rang 3 times, each time they have said they would refund it but haven't and have sent 3 emails which are unanswered. I know it is not a lot of money but it is the principle of people taking money out of your current account without notice or permission. Especially as we spent a lot on the holiday and the additional bar items I have now contacted Jet2... really poor

Broken air conditioning for 7 days with a 3-month-old baby. Reported 5 times. Nothing done.

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 3 days ago

We stayed at Aguas de Ibiza last year, loved it, and rebooked the same room (230) this July. This time, the "Grand Luxe" label did not survive contact with reality. The air conditioning in our room did not work for our entire seven-night stay — in July, in Ibiza, with our three-month-old son in the room. We reported it four or five times. Maintenance came each time, changed nothing, and left. We asked repeatedly for the manager to be informed. Nothing happened. Every one of these complaints is logged on our account, so the hotel cannot claim it didn't know. It didn't start there. Emails we sent before arrival about transfers and arrangements for travelling with an infant were simply ignored. And beyond the AC: no WiFi in the room, a broken shower, and a broken shower curtain in front of a window opening onto the street. We stopped reporting things — what was the point? After the stay I wrote to the manager directly, detailing all of this. That email was ignored too. Pre-arrival: ignored. During the stay: ignored. Formal complaint: ignored. That's not an off week; that's how this hotel treats guests once it has their money. We paid five-star Gran Lujo prices for a room a genuine five-star would not have let a family with a newborn sleep in for one night, let alone seven. If you're travelling with young children, or you're counting on the hotel to fix problems when they arise, book somewhere else. If this hotel's account replies below with an apology or claims of "already investigating," know that we gave them three separate warnings over several weeks after our stay, and they didn't reply to any of them, before we posted this.

Dirty room, smell of mold, construction works in front of hotel. DONT COME!

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 5 days ago

Room smells really bad, like mold or dirty at conditioning. Also, dirty floor, full of sand from previous occupants. Room phone not working. No solution given by the hotel since “the hotel is full. Construction works in front of the hotel, noise in the morning. My advice: RUN AWAY FROM THIS HOTEL!!!!

Very bad hotel

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 2 weeks ago

This hotel is really bad. AC doesn’t work. Water dripping from roof. Very bad staff that ignores your requests. Nobody answers the phone. Rooms not ready at check-in time. I’m not sure what more there is to say. This hotel is grossly overpriced. This is a budget hotel at luxury prices.
