Hyatt Regency Indian Wells Resort & Spa

Great integration with the Celebrity and Players courses, easily walkable to club house. The resort itself is lacking in terms of amenities to justify its pricing. The main attraction seemes to be the water park. Besides this, there isn't a lot of other resort-like activities on-site.

I recently stayed at the Grand Hyatt, and while the property itself was amazing, the check-in experience was really upsetting. We were using my husband’s Hyatt points. Before our stay, he called to make sure I could check in early, since I’m a teacher and needed to get online for class. He was given the go-ahead on the phone, and he also requested early check-in using his Globalist award, which was confirmed by text. Everything seemed set. When I arrived, I was told my husband needed to be there in person and that the awards would not apply until he arrived. He was stuck on a job and couldn’t get there. He called the front desk, and they agreed to let me check in, but said the points still wouldn’t work until he arrived. He then called Hyatt Rewards, who were kind and moved the points into my name, which seemed like no big deal. As a married couple, we assumed this would be simple. When I went back to the front desk to make sure everything was settled, I was told no, and that they wanted to take away my room upgrade but couldn’t because I had already checked in. I was made to feel small and worried for the rest of my stay. My husband has worked in resorts most of his life, where the whole job is giving great service and helping people feel worry-free. I think the hotel is wonderful, and I’d love for the check-in experience to match it.

Traveling with four young kids usually turns hotel nights into a delicate balancing act, but our recent stay at Grand Hyatt Indian Wells gave us breathing room from day one. As World of Hyatt Globalists on an award redemption, we were thrilled to see a complimentary One Bedroom Villa upgrade assigned in the app before we even pulled up to the valet. Having fees waived and golf carts shuttling our entire crew straight to our door made arrival remarkably easy. The villa layout was a parent’s dream. A dedicated hallway and a solid interior door shut between the living area and bedroom, we could watch a movie while younger ones slept in quiet darkness. The huge soaking tub fit all four kids for evening bath duty, the walk-in shower wand made hair rinsing simple, and built-in Google Cast on both TVs saved us from wrestling with cables. After the kids were down, having our own private patio and hot tub was an incredible luxury. Days at HyTides water park were just as smooth. Life jackets in every size are stocked right by the towels, walkways are entirely flat for easy stroller navigation, and the afternoon chilled matcha lemonade in the lobby was a refreshing treat. Breakfast at Tía Carmen was another highlight, with delicious food and seamless billing coverage. Two team members made our stay truly special and deserve sincere recognition from management: Israel (Pool Director): Israel checked in on our family around the pool deck with genuine warmth, making sure the kids felt welcome and well cared for well into the evening. Lupe at Tía Carmen: Breakfast with four kids can be chaotic, but Lupe handled our table with exceptional patience, grace, and kindness each morning. A few minor notes for the engineering and grounds teams: the living room felt quite dark at night due to mismatched, low-output bulbs above the dining table, and there was no luggage rack provided in the villa. We also ran into an active ant colony out in the backyard right outside the bedroom patio door. These small details aside, we loved our time on property and left deeply grateful for the generous villa upgrade and the wonderful hospitality. We will be back on our next trip to the desert.
