Reviews for Hyatt Regency Indian Wells Resort & Spa

Lovely desert retreat

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 7 hours ago

This is a repeat stay at Grand Hyatt, this time after hotel renovations, which notably improves the overall experience. The new room look, with a mid-century modern design feel is a perfect fit for the greater Palm Springs area. Dining options have improved as well, though breakfast can feel hectic at moments at high occupancy. Hy Tides is as fun as before, though, better pool area concessions and warmer water in the pools would be appreciated, particularly in December. Spa was enjoyable and fitness room was well equipped, as would be expected. Definitely coming back!

Fab Stay, Can't Wait to Return!

Rooms were some of the largest I've ever stayed in! The golf course view was incredibly peaceful to wake up to and probably contributed to us staying in our room more than expected. Drinking tea on the balcony with a book felt like such a treat.

A disappointing experience

I will start with the positives. The rooms are bright and you can tell they have been recently refurbished, although all of the money spent is purely cosmetic. If you have kids, the pool area is great. Sadly that's where the positives end. The rooms are not sound proof at all and throughout the night if someone walks down the hallway talking, even softly, you can hear it very clearly. Same goes for the people walking around in the room above. We could also hear the people in the room next door as if there was no wall whatsoever. Lots of chatting and tv leading up until bed time and then the permeation of loud snoring from 11pm - 6.30am for the duration of our stay. Speaking to the desk was met with a blank look and no solution offered whatsoever. Throughout our stay I interacted with several different front desk staff and not one was friendly or helpful. We wouldn't stay here again - the customer service is non existent and having looked around, there are much nicer resorts in the vicinity.

Below average, not a good experience

We had a relatively bad experience here and I left annoyed. The stay for a two king bed room was $2600 for 2 nights so I’ll caveat that my expectations were in line with the relatively high cost. 1) our Comcast did not work from when we checked in and we had to wait HOURS for tech support to get new hardware and install it. The tech support guys themselves were great, just ridiculous to not have checked it 2) our bill was incorrect and getting through to talk to a human being to fix it has been infuriating. Still haven’t gotten it fixed, they make it so hard to contact them it’s not even worth wasting my time for $200. 3) after waiting 30 to get in, the breakfast buffet was absolutely terrible. Took 10 minutes to get coffee, another 5 for the creamer to come, we had to send our kid to flag the staff to get the bill after waiting for 20 minutes. 4) there is literally one hot tub for families there! It was overflowing packed. Such an oversight for a hotel where desert temps can be crappy Dec - March.

Stay away, better hotels around

Worst Grand Hyatt resort I stayed in. Staff was not professional and status has no meaning at this property. Over priced 3 star property.
