Sanctum Inle Resort

I stayed at this wonderful resort for three days during my solo trip in Myanmar. It was such an incredible and heartwarming stay that I will cherish forever. The staff here are incredibly thoughtful and helpful, from the front desk to food and beverage. I was really touched by their thoughtful airport pickup service. My flight got delayed unexpectedly, yet the staff kept tracking my flight status closely the whole time. They patiently waited for my arrival and made sure they could pick me up right after I landed. Such attentive arrangement made me feel warm and secure from the very start of my journey. As a solo traveler, sometimes I felt a bit homesick and lonely halfway through the journey. Fortunately, all the employees were willing to patiently listen to my travel stories and inner feelings. They chatted with me like close friends and family members, and offered practical travel suggestions, like day boat trip, half day hiking, winery visit. Their sincere company drove away my loneliness instantly. I was also deeply impressed by the hotel restaurant. I enjoyed the happy hour every afternoon till the sunset moment. The beverage service was absolutely exceptional. The staff paid great attention to every detail, from chilling the wine glasses to elegant pouring etiquette. They professionally introduced different types of wine to me, and thoughtfully picked out the best seating spot for me every time. The hotel itself boasts stunning scenery and surroundings. The premises are well-maintained and kept tidy all the time. Even though I was the only foreigner Asian guest staying here, I never felt like a stranger. Everyone treated me with genuine kindness, shared my joys and worries, and devoted themselves to arranging pleasant trips for me. This is far more than just a place to sleep. It felt exactly like a home away from home. I highly recommend this marvelous hotel to all travelers. It deserves more recognition and visits from tourists around the world.

Under difficult circumstances (covid. Civil war. Earthquake. Iran war) the team at Sanctum is providing a great experience. Beautiful property on the lake. Wonderful staff and big. Thanks thanks thanks to Ei Ei and her team. Ei Ei arranged my boat for the day as well as a driver to take me around for the day.

We stayed in a Junior suite and absolutely loved the sunset on our terrace. Great welcome by the lady manager who was always present throughout our stay. Every morning, we tried different specialties for Breakfast and dinner (Shan food is a highlight of Myanmar). All staff was extremely friendly, polite and warm, so helpful in recommendation for tours around the lake (bring sunscreen) and arranged an amazing sunset cruise (huge thanks to Myo the boat driver for his kindness and care). Absolutely recommended

What we liked: - the arrival by boat and private check in - home made lemongrass juice - Design of the hotel with beautiful decorations. - The breakfast lady Mya who was really attentioned - room with private terrace What we did not liked; Nothing really bad to say, just maybe the gym near buffet area look a bit weird. Our rooms had all different colours and i find mine (yellow) less nice than my friends (red and blue)

Sanctum Inle is the perfect retreat. The resort design, inspired by monasteries, is stunning and creates an incredibly peaceful atmosphere. The service is truly world-class—every staff member was warm, attentive, and helpful, from check-in to arranging our boat tour right from the private jetty. Our room was spacious and luxurious with beautiful lake views. Highly recommend for a relaxing, high-end stay on Inle Lake.
