A Great Luxury Base in the Highlands

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 1 day ago

What an excellent experience. The staff was welcoming, helpful, and warm. The room was well made, serviced brilliantly, and cosy. Two room bathroom allowed both of us to take care of business, excellent wine and water in the room. Food and food staff was wonderful. The barkeeps really new their whisky, and were great cocktailers as well. Front desk took care of laundry, inquired about our daily activities, and offered alternatives. Set us up with a great whisly tour of the highlands. Will return.

Highland hospitality at its best

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 1 day ago

Our booking was last minute and in challenging personal circumstances. Quite simply we were made so welcome and were so comfortable we cannot wait to return and enjoy the wonderful riverside location, the high level of service, and excellent food and wine. The accommodation was spacious and elegant and the in-room facilities were perfect. This 5* hotel is a fantastic addition to Inverness and raises the bar in terms of quality and service.

Best hospitality in the Highlands!

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 4 days ago

Perfect from start to finish, the best hospitality you will find in the Highlands. The staff are exceptional, such a warm welcome. The welcome drink is a touch of class and sets the scene for a wonderful stay. The rooms are beautiful, well appointed and very cosy. The slippers, robes and lovely toiletries are a delight. Breakfast is faultless and plentiful! We’ve already booked our return!

Beautiful little hotel

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 1 week ago

Absolutely beautiful little hotel. We stayed only 1 night but would have loved to have had more time there. From the lovely welcome in the car park, you are treated as special guests from all the staff. Monika chatted to us after we'd been brought our welcome drink and she was so friendly and welcoming as was the gentleman who helped us park and took us to our room. Lovely, cosy, spotless room with everything you'd need including robe and slippers. Couldn't get the coffee machine to work but that was probably our fault and not the hotel's! Dinner was absolutely beautiful and there was a lovely atmosphere in the restaurant and we were served by a very helpful young man and also Grace and Francesca who were so lovely and polite. Beautiful breakfast the next morning, everything was presented to a high standard and the buffet choice was fresh, colourful and delicious. Even on check-out the staff at reception were so kind and helpful (Monika again and also Julia) The hotel is in a beautiful location overlooking the river and we honestly can't find a fault and hope to return again soon. Thank you to all staff for a lovely , relaxing stay. There is no pool or spa but you can use the amenities in the sister hotel 'Kingsmill' and there is even a shuttle bus that takes you there.
