Where do I start?? We recently stayed at the Ness Walk as part of a Porsche car tour of the Highlands, unfortunately it was just for 1 night, but it was by far the best hotel of the 4 hotels that we stayed in. The staff could not do enough from the minute we walked in to the minute we left. The rooms were beautiful and immaculate, the food was lovely and the ambience perfect. We will definitely be returning as a couple and stay for more nights.

A quaint hotel sitting right on the river. The staff is warm and helpful. They take care of all your needs. The rooms are spacious and have all the amenities. The food was delicious. I highly recommend.

We had a fantastic stay at the Ness Walk Hotel. The location right on the River Ness is perfect — you can walk to restaurants or take a scenic walk straight from the hotel. Just be aware that the signage is minimal, and it’s easy to miss the entrance. The grounds are lovely, with beautiful trees, and flowers creating a peaceful atmosphere. Inside, the property is tasteful, with a stylish bar and welcoming entry. The rooms themselves are comfortable, though not particularly special. What makes this hotel stand out is the exceptional service. From the moment we arrived, we felt cared for. Sue greeted us with a drink while we checked in and spent nearly half an hour helping us plan our trip, marking everything out on a map. Throughout our stay, the staff in the restaurant, bar, and front desk were all just as friendly and helpful. Everyone truly wanted to make sure we had a great time. If you’re looking for a hotel in Inverness with beautiful surroundings and the best service you’ll ever find, Ness Walk is the place. Highly recommend!

The Ness Walk is a wonderful experience! Of course, the people make it memorable - from Mark, (concierge), who ordered a taxi for us and ensured we made it to our scheduled tour (we will always remember that!) to Euwan & his colleague (bad with names but it was Sept. 11 Thursday night), who kept us smiling at the bar. We have very fond memories and would absolutely stay here again, if only to see our new friends again.

Solo female traveler, 3 nights. Location: Close enough to walk to shops, restaurants, entertainment and tourist attractions (apx 3/4 to 1 mile depending on destination downtown). Far enough from bars that if you desire to retire early you won't be kept up. Easy flat walk, entirely along a picturesque river with coffee stands alongside if you wish to stop along the way. Hotel: Truly grand while intimate. Personalized service begins before you leave your car/taxi. Luggage whisked to the room while you enjoy a glass of champagne while checking in. Polite, professional staff who never seem to forget you are 'there'. I had to check my reservation twice to make sure I booked the right hotel as the online pictures and description undersell the welcome. Rooms/facilities: Well appointed, well furnished and spacious. Large bottles of complimentary flat and sparkling water (seems simple but such a nice benefit), high quality linens and the bed felt 'new'. The Internet was strong throughout the hotel (reception, lobby, restaurant and rooms). Showers and bath were clean and well maintained and top quality amenities including the "I forgot...x" sunderies already placed in the room vs ringing the desk. Five stars for all of the above- a sixth star for the Restaurant and Staff.Restaurant: Excellent service and food. Breakfast was a combination of hot individual orders and continental. Eggs benedict and porridge stood out as top choices at the morning meal but those are my usual go-to so didn't try much else. At the one evening meal I had I lingered more than usual as each course was an event to savor. The standout was the halibut (I'm from Alaska and tend to be a bit snotty about it) and it was perfect. Cooked with respect for the fish's 'lightness' and not overpowered by seasoning or the sides. Almost better than my fathers! There wasn't a single staff member that provided 'less-than' service. Beyond the expected politeness and helpful actions they strike the balance of letting you 'breath' and also being aware of needs. I'm in Scotland (from Alaska) apx 2x a year and will make this a destination of choice. Additional note for single female travelers: YMMV but I felt very safe throughout my trip- even walking the 3/4 mile back to the hotel at 11 at night. Obviously don't take silly chances and be aware of your surroundings but a comfortable city for sure.
