Visited for our third time and probably our best stay so far! A lovely luxurious spotless terrace room was ready and waiting for us after our glass of champagne by the fire. We had chosen the 2 night tasting escape which included a brilliant whisky tasting, and then thoroughly enjoyed the tasting menu in the Torrish restaurant which we would highly recommend, along with the accompanying wine flight. It really is the most luxurious place to stay - peaceful and relaxing despite only being a 15 minute walk from the centre of Inverness - with fantastic food, and a welcoming well stocked bar, however the element that sets Ness Walk apart from other hotels are the staff. Every member of the team is highly professional, but with a lovely informal approach, and are happy to stop and have a chat, whilst always being keen to ensure we had everything we needed - a huge shout out to Kevin and his team for making our stay so enjoyable. We are already planning our next trip!

Struggling to find fault with this Hotel. Cannot single out a member of staff as ALL were so friendly and helpful; from concierges to reception check in, ideal balance of helpful but not overbearing, respecting privacy. Staff easy to approach. Breakfast service has improved from previous visits and is faultless. Generally food very good. Location is ideal to explore the Highlands. Rooms are spotless with good amenities. Wifi wasn't best when ysing laptop and a few tv channels had weak signal but apart from that struggling to find a negative. Staff that were in training were as good as experienced in other hotels. Manager obviously on top of training. Well done. Will definitely be back.

Very disappointing meal. Visited this establishment with friends for the Christmas festive a la carte menu, a special meal and evening out. As per normal, the welcome from staff at the entrance was excellent, very professional, friendly and helpful. The restaurant staff were also pleasant and efficient. The hotel was beautiful as usual and tastefully decorated for Christmas. However that’s where the good points end and the meal was another story, a complete let down and disappointment. The portion sizes on each of the three courses were minute to say the least resembling more of a tasting menu in portion sizes. The starter of root vegetables was described on the menu as coming with Comte cheese, two of us had ordered this and there was no cheese on either plate. Basically this was a tiny portion of shaved root vegetables. Then came the main, curried monkfish. This amounted to about two small mouthfuls of fish and unfortunately the curried element was missing. A side dish of potatoes, costing £6 arrived to serve three people and consisted of a tiny amount of small oval shaped potatoes, barely enough for a couple each. On to dessert. Two diners ordered the caramel pear option, again a tiny portion with no caramel flavour whatsoever. As a result of the poor offerings we left the hotel instead of remaining to enjoy some cocktails as we had planned. All in all a very disappointing but very expensive dinner which certainly did not deliver in either taste, quantity or satisfaction resulting in us having to eat elsewhere after leaving the hotel. At £65 per person, plus drinks we certainly expected better from this 5 star hotel. Interesting to note too that the menu offered in the dining room was different from the online festive menu. Various items from that menu were not on the menu in the restaurant and supplements had been added to certain food choices. Despite the pleasant staff and the peaceful and tasteful surroundings, the absence of value for money combined with our disappointment means we will not be back. Ness Walk hotel, I strongly suggest you discuss this situation with your chef and in future provide better value for money, bearing in mind that local people can have a big influence in the local area on your business and also provide custom in the leaner months of the year. This hotel receives good reviews for overnight stays however there are numerous reviews which indicate residents haven’t eaten dinner in the hotel restaurant. I wonder if they had would the reviews be as good. There are definitely better places in Inverness to eat dinner where far better value and food is available. Interesting to note that the review I provided for the Ness Walk hotel, after being requested for feedback, has not yet appeared on their own website.

Lovely festive evening with excellent musical entertainment and can highly recommend the Xmas pudding soufflé for dessert!
