The Tides Inn is a Chesapeake Bay resort set in the heart of Virginia's Northern Neck. You’ll feel the rich heritage at the Tides Inn the moment you arrive. There’s history in the water which laps gently against the Inn’s Duffy boats in the marina. There’s an undeniable coziness in the charm of the people around you. A quaint nostalgia in sipping a cold lemonade as you watch the afternoon sun dip into the sea. It’s palpable, and it’s a legacy that’s as beloved to us as it has been to you for decades.

Great service, but ensure you get a right room on top floor away from elevator and hall way doors. It could be quite noisy if you end up near families with kids. You hear everything!!!

Great day at The Tides: delicious oysters at Fish Hawk (with a fun explanation and great service from Joey). This place has quickly become a frequent favorite (burger is delicious too). Place was hopping since it was a Friday but everything came out quickly. We also borrowed paddle boards and kayaks from Jarrah and Andrew at the dock, who could not have been more helpful and welcoming - these two truly made our day special! Thank you to these gentlemen for going above and beyond. We will definitely be back to eat in the main dining room soon.

The Tides Inn is a charming cute resort with a great location looking out over the water. The rooms and all the facilities have been recently renovated and were all in great shape. The room we stayed in was especially well done, with tasteful modern decor, great bed and pillows, gorgeous view of the harbor, and a well stocked fridge (with complimentary sodas, juice, and water). We didn't have a bathtub, but enjoyed a fine shower. The grounds are in very good shape and well kept up; the garden is new and coming along nicely (but half is still being built out). The bar and restaurants served great dishes, but are both quite pricey. We took advantage of the free cruiser bikes to visit the town, which is very small did not take long to explore. The Historic Christ Church was the most historically interesting feature in the area ($20 to visit). The resort's activities were not all available when we were there in the middle of the week, but that was fine as they are quite pricey too. Overall, the Tides Inn was perfect for us for a two-night respite/getaway from the city.. If one had a group/family along, it certainly would make a pleasant place to stay, especially with its cute little beach (conveniently next to the pool) great for toddlers and little ones.

My wife and I did a long weekend here and it was very relaxing and we enjoyed it. It wasn’t too crowded except for Saturday at the pool, which still wasn’t too bad. Great service and beautiful setting. It was a little pricey but we felt we got the value we paid from it.
