Botanis is a stunning hotel with beautiful gardens and it’s in a great location on the island. The staff , rooms, food and decor were perfect. We had the most relaxing stay and could not fault a thing. It was way beyond our expectations. Close to the beach and thermal spas. Great restaurants and amazing pool. We will definitely be back and would highly recommend Botanis .

We arrived after a short flight from London to Naples and then journeyed across from Naples to Ischia on the hydrofoil - generally short transfers but it was lovely having such a warm greeting by the hotel with refreshments immediately offered. The room was made up relatively quickly and we had a chance to rest by the pool before being taken to be reunited with the luggage. The room was quaint, air conditioned and all in good working order (we did have one issue with the AC during our stay but this was resolved pronto by the hotel staff who are very responsive to any requests and utilise WhatsApp to achieve this as did our travel rep). The room felt private with a good sized sun terrace and was visited by staff a few times during the day to clean, fill up the drinks and do a turn down service in the evening. No request seemed too much for the staff and the service was certainly outstanding in arranging trips, navigating Ischia, all having great knowledge of the area and of food. The grounds are lush, impeccably maintained and are stepped into the hillside with some lovely ocean views. Food & drink in the hotel was excellent with an amazing selection and fine ingredients most being sourced locally or from their own gardens. Dishes were beautifully presented and different menus throughout the week. We ate primarily in Corbezzolo which was a la carte and included in our room rate and really did not need to eat anywhere else as we just worked our way through the menu. We did however dine in the vegan/vegetarian restaurant Il Mirto and did their 7 course tasting menu (which was more like 10 courses). This was fine dining in such a relaxing setting and it is recommended to try, if just for the experience. Much of what is eaten is grown in the grounds of the hotel. The pool and spa are both centrally located, the spa offering a good menu of treatments. Finally, despite being situated on top of a hill, it is a short taxi ride to most of the island towns and villages on the north side of the island. San Montano and Lacco Ameno are 15 min walking distance if you are reasonably able to walk up some steep but safe roads and worthwhile visiting for a couple of hours. Forio is a nice nearby town with harbour and beach, a short taxi ride and lots of places to lunch, dine out or shop for souvenirs and trendier items. We did a day trip to Procida which you could also do in a half day and not eat up to much into your stay - the hotel helped find a local, reasonably priced company which turned out to be an amazing boat trip to the sister island of Ischia. So in summary - first class service with a smile in a corner of paradise. Will be returning home tomorrow a very happy and relaxed customer.

A lovely hotel with beautiful, peaceful gardens. The staff were all pleasant and helpful, the rooms lovely (all different) and restaurants very good. The pool was blissful - loved the double Sun loungers and plenty of space and available beds. We ate in the main restaurant (very good and personable staff make recommendations if you wish and at the amazing vegetarian/ vegan Il Mirto. The chef in the latter is very talented and came up with some surprising dishes - all fabulous. Even my carnivore husband thoroughly enjoyed it. You are made to feel special as they only take a few bookings each night and talk you through all the dishes. They grow lots of herbs and vegetables themselves which are used in the dishes. There is a hotel shuttle that will take you into town/ the port for a boat trip/ botanical gardens and they have a customer relations to help with trips, local, restaurants etc. I would be very happy to return to Botania Relais and Spa and Ischia as it’s a lovely island.

Beautiful hotel set in lush gardens. Key thing about the place is the staff. Friendly, efficient, smooth and professional. A series of individual rooms dotted around magnificent gardens. A healthy resort with a Michelin green star. Highly recommend all the restaurants and particularly Il Miro, best most creative vegetarian and vegan food. Almost next door to the famous William Walton gardens and easy transport to the concerts there. The best indoor spa with hot and cold Turkish experience. A complete restful reset from the outside world. I’m a fussy middle-aged English lady and I highly recommend it!!
