Reviews for L'Albergo Della Regina Isabella

Island of class and balance within the hectic environment of the seaside Ischia.

It's our third time there. Very nice place. The beach, the lobby, the rooms, the restaurants, all was up-to-par. Very well run, maintained and managed. Classy, quick and efficient reaction of managers and other personnel well make up for the rare minor flaws in the service.

Fabulous resort on Ischia

Everything about the Regina Isabella Hotel is perfection - from the prompt and courteous assistance provided by Mr. Montefusco, the hotel's exemplary concierge, to the acres of pressed linen and chic decor featuring antiques, colorful Capodimonte tiles, and comfortable upholstered furniture. The service is classic Old World Italian Grand Hotel, which if you've never experienced it, is warm and professional. The sprawling breakfast buffet offers a vast array of pastries, meats, cheeses, fruits and virtually anything else one may desire. While there is plenty to do on the large island of Ischia, we really didn't want to leave, so much were we enjoying laying around on the sun loungers next to clear emerald green sea, where food and beverage service is available and presented with crisp linens and proper silverware. Finally, the spa offers a huge variety of treatments, and I had relaxing massages from both Vito and Antonio. Our room overlooking the sea was spacious and had a large bathroom with fluffy bathrobes. I really cannot recommend the resort more highly and absolutely plan to return again soon.

Approachable Elegance

I’m hesitant to write a review because my husband and I would like to keep Regina Isabella a secret from the world, but it is one of the most magical and beautiful locations/experiences. Our second time visiting the property and we were greeted by the lovely humans that are part of this property. Old school Italian service, approachable elegance, an oasis of beauty. To the dedicated and delightful restaurant staff, thank you for serving us the most delicious meals - understanding our palettes and making us feel welcome. This is a rare place in the world. It should be cherished - forever part of our family Bravo Bellisimo We will see you next year ;) Nicholas and Randall

Bella Regina

Beautiful traditional hotel. We loved how they left the original style. Great staff and service. The bar and restaurants were excellent. Loved the thermal pool. Quiet location. Hotel Manager was wonderful checking daily that guests were happy and had everything they needed. Would recommend this gorgeous hotel to anyone seeking exceptional old school Italian style. The only negative was we booked a garden room but it overlooked the driveway so was noisy in the morning with deliveries. We will definitely be back and book a seaview room.

What a fabulous, world-class hotel and experience!

We had the most exceptional, restorative stay here and it has now become one of our favourite hotels anywhere in the world (and we've stayed at many beautiful ones.) The hotel itself is exquisite, full of charm, tradition and elegance (loved the original furnishings), and the resort is outstandingly scenic and lovely. The beds are super comfortable, the bed linens luxurious linen, the amenities spot on, and the maid service smooth and seamless. The natural setting of the hotel was so lovely that we hardly wanted to leave it, with a wonderful sea-water swimming pool, endless stunning sea views, sunrises and sunsets. The service was equally outstanding. The manager, Davide, was exceptionally kind and charming, taking a personal note of all guests, remembering our names, making sure we were enjoying our stay. Ciro, who met us at Ischia port was delightful, Lino by the pool was really helpful, as was Antonio the night concierge. The food was wonderful also and the breakfasts, with freshly squeezed orange juice and a sumptuous buffet, the best we've had anywhere in the world. Indaco and Dolce Vita restaurants both memorable. I had 2 great treatments at the spa that were also reasonably priced. It's so relaxing to stay somewhere where everything is just right. If I was trying hard to make any constructive suggestions, just a couple of small things: we arrived at 1 pm after travelling since 3 am and were tired and thirsty. The room was not yet available. It would have been nice to have been escorted to the bar and offered a welcome drink while we were waiting. And the drink service at the pool was a bit inconsitent. And we didn't spend much time at the beach as the sea there had many non-guests using it and so it wasn't serene or private. But these are minor things in relation to an overall outstanding experience. We will definitely look forward to staying here again, soon I hope.
