I would love to give the Regina Isabella a 5 star review but unfortunately our experience was anything but. While the first 2 days we stayed at the hotel were fantastic, the 3rd day was both disappointing from an amenities and service perspective. For context, we planned to spend the day at the hotels beach and pool - the main attraction of the hotel and one of the reasons it commands such a high price. The evening before, there was a notice slipped under our door that due to a charity event the next day, there would be “minor disruptions” in the afternoon. There was no mention of closure or limited services. At 3:30pm the next day, over half of the beach and pool areas were closed. To be clear, this was not a “minor disruption”, this made the entire reason we stayed at this hotel unusable as all the beach area was full by the time we were told the area we were in was closed. To make matters worse, when I spoke with the front desk (a middle aged woman with a gold jacket, I didn’t catch her name) I was treated with incredibly rudeness and no empathy for the fact we wasted hundreds of dollars for amenities the hotel was unable to provide. I am frankly surprised and disappointed the hotel would not notify guests in advance of major closures - we would have changed our plans for our weekend if we would have known the primary reason we were staying at the hotel was unavailable one day. Moreover, we were offered no form of compensation and nothing but poor attitude from the woman who we spoke with when we raised all of these concerns. Raphaelle was extremely gracious and apologetic but that does not change the fact we spent a lot of money and were very excited for amenities the hotel did not deliver. Unfortunately we won’t be coming back and I wouldn’t recommend this hotel.

The Regina Isabella was just beautiful! They have their own beaches and the staff is amazing. Breakfast is over the top, and the dining facilities are superb. The center of town is so pleasant to walk through. The manager is warm and welcoming, making the effort to get to know each guest. I hope you get the opportunity to visit this lovely island and its wonderful people.”

Bucket list destination. Every detail has been considered and refined. Impeccable atmosphere yet incredibly welcoming. The hotel manager Davide took my wife and I on a tour of this legendary property when we arrived and set us up with umbrella covered loungers on the sunbathing jetty overlooking the Bay of Naples so we could sip margaritas while our room was prepared. Sublime setting. Utterly phenomenal service. Davide's remarkable class, grace and charming personality set the tone for our once in a lifetime stay. The breakfast was beyond delicious and offered a comprehensive selection of mind blowing cuisine. When our room had an issue with the air conditioning we were upgraded to a panoramic sea view suite. We were made to feel uniquely special throughout our dreamy stay. The spa is also the best on Ischia. Thank you Regina Isabella for memories that will last a lifetime

Absolutely marvelous experience. Great location, great service, very friendly and supportive staff, great food. We were here with 4 adults and had a wonderful time. The bay and the sea are wonderful to swim. The Gym is better we have ever experienced in hotels in Italy. Staff and Management ensure everything is taking care of. Plenty of good restaurants within short walk straight out of the hotel. Iscia is a beautiful small island to explore. I can definitely recommend this hotel.

The Regina Isabella Hotel is an INCREDIBLE stay... from the extremely welcoming hotel manager, David, to all of the courteous staff, stunning views, spacious rooms, inviting pool and luxurious beach access - would 100% recommend a stay at this property. The food at the hotel restaurants (they have three!) is delectable and served beachfront with sparkling seascapes day and night. Ischia is a charming island with beautiful beaches and plenty of amenities...we enjoyed touring it's history as well as relaxation areas and incredible food, similar to Sorrento and Capri without all the crowds.
