The Regina Isabella was the first stop on our honeymoon and it was so hard to leave! David and the rest of the team made our honeymoon stay feel so special - the hotel is absolutely stunning with the best seaside views for lounging and swimming. We had water front massages, and dinner on site at the Michelin Star restaurant. Such an incredible experience -- we won't be staying anywhere else when we come back.

Our 3-night stay at the Regina Isabella was the highlight of our 2-week honeymoon trip! We loved the hotel, Lacco Ameno, and the island of Ischia and wished we stayed longer! It was a magical place. The location is the absolute best! A beautiful pool to enjoy and steps away and over a cute bridge is a pier that juts into the sea. We enjoyed hopping between the pool and dipping in the sea. At night, we enjoyed walking around the town, visiting the shops, restaurants, and soaking in the sea views. The pool staff, servers, and bartenders were top-notch and incredibly hard-working. The room was spotlessly clean and attended to each morning and turned down nightly. I loved how our room was decorated and thought the flower boxes on each balcony were so cute! The thermal pool was enjoyable, although the pool room could use some maintenance and upgrades (peeling paint, loose tiles, stained cushions on chairs). We enjoyed a delicious dinner one night at the hotel restaurant. Breakfast every morning was incredible, the way it was displayed and the variety of options. The only negative would be that the front desk associates, servers, and staff totally favored certain guests/returning guests. This made us feel less important and a little invisible at times, but we still had an excellent time.

This is a special place. Old world elegance with an attention to detail and impeccable service. Check in and check out was easy and efficient. The hotel was clean and well appointed but may need some sprucing up in places. The hotel van was waiting for us after we got off the ferry and the driver was friendly and nice. My room was a great size for one person with ample closet space as I like to fully unpack when on vacation. Turn down service every night was great with water left and pj's folded on the bed. Spa was great and services were good and reasonably priced. The hotel is in a good location for shopping for souvenirs and you could get taxis relatively easily if you wanted to explore other parts of the island which my friends and I did. While the bar area could be lively because of my group, the hotel was relatively quiet.

I just need to warn people. This hotel is mainly filled with people 65+, so if that’s you then great. The rooms are very outdated and not aesthetically pleasing at all. The town is cute and quiet but not much is really happening, if that is what you are going for then great. It’s alot of old people walking around in bath robes and I mean all day there are walking around in bathrobes… to breakfast to lunch etc. just not classy. What really rubbed me the wrong way is the front desk asked for a tip at check out and when we said “no” he said “are you sure”. Now I have to say we were tipping the staff during our stay and the receipt they gave us shows that… so what is this tip for? Tipping a hotel? I’ve never seen that before in my life. Anyways if you are visiting the island and want a more lively and fun stay, especially if you are younger (under 50) I would stay in a different hotel and area. Just my advice. But if you want peace and quiet I guess this works. Oh one last thing, there was an event on our last day and they closed the entire outdoor area at 3 (pool/beach/bar) and never gave us a heads up or a discount on our stay, we were very pissed. It’s was very inconsiderate for their paying guest staying at the hotel.
