Secrets Playa Blanca Costa Mujeres

The resort is very luxurious and I will be back! The facility is top-notch and well-planned. The food is good quality but can be bland, but the service makes up for it!

My wife and I have been coming to Playa Mujeres for over 10 years, and we've probably visited around 30 times. When our longtime concierge, Manuel Mena, moved to Secrets Playa Blanca Costa Mujeres from the resort we usually stay at, we decided to add three nights there before our usual 10-night stay—because he convinced us to give it a try. The Room The quality and interior design of the room were top-notch—some of the best we've ever seen. Our deck was gorgeous, and the pool was absolutely beautiful. We booked a Preferred Club Ocean View Swim-Out room, but unfortunately, the ocean view was obstructed by overgrown vegetation, which was disappointing. That said, the room itself was visually stunning. Butler Service Manuel Mena was a fantastic butler. Whenever we requested iced tea and water to enjoy by the pool, he responded immediately and took care of everything. He’s truly a shining star at this resort. If you're lucky enough to have Manuel as your butler, you're guaranteed to have an exceptional experience. Restaurants The restaurants were visually beautiful, and the food was some of the best we've ever had in Mexico—hands down. If you can get a reservation at the hibachi grill, don’t miss it—the food was outstanding. The breakfast buffet was also excellent. The Downside This may be a personal preference, but we found it inconvenient that there was no indoor, air-conditioned space to enjoy a cocktail during the day. The sports bar didn’t open until 6 PM, and there was no indoor lobby bar available before then. For example, my wife and I typically shower and leave our room around 4:30 PM for a 6 PM dinner. Our only option was to sit outside at the Preferred Bar for a drink, then move to the air-conditioned Preferred Lounge—where the couches were often wet from guests in swimsuits. It’s not ideal to get ready for dinner and then have to sit outside and sweat while enjoying a pre-dinner drink. Overall This is a beautiful resort with fantastic food and excellent butler service. However, not everyone enjoys being in the heat all day, and it was disappointing not to have access to an air-conditioned space for a drink before 6 PM. If that’s not a concern for you, you’ll absolutely love this resort.

Excellent resort with great staff, Luis at the pool was amazing, Fredy was always willing to help with everything poolside and Martha at the spa gave a very relaxing massage.

We have just returned from a 21-night and 3-resort trip in Mexico at Secrets Maroma, Secrets Playa Blanca and Secrets Impressions Isla Mujeres. We are Impression Black Members and celebrating our 44 years of Marriage. The key with all three resorts is the hospitality of all the employees from the maids to the servers, food services and management. We enjoyed the daily activities, volleyball, swimming, relaxing poolside with various drinks. The nighttime activities with live music and various Entertainment staff shows and casino night were well done. There was always something for everyone to do in the evenings especially at the Rendezvous bar. At Playa Blanca we reserved a Preferred Club, Ocean View Room, King Bed and we were Upgraded to a Preferred Club, Ocean Front Room, King Bed in Building 1 (3nd floor), that was awesome. Marlena UVC Rep Manager took care of our needs at check-in and kept in touch with us during our visit. We had met Marlena at our first visit to Isla Mujeres Impressions. We were given a nice bottle of Champagne and Chocolate desert for our Anniversary. We were presented with a contract upgrade by Piedad (UVC Sales Rep), which we declined. Our two Butlers (Leticia and Daniel) took care of us for dinner reservations, Bali Beds and more. We spent most of our time at the Preferred pool with excellent service by the waiters and concierge. We walked the beach, which had minimal sargassum present. We took advantage of a free Bali bed at the Jungle pool on our last day and will return to the jungle pool in the future visits, since it is so relaxing and the incredible service by Carlos, Edwardo and Francisco. In fact, Francisco recalled us from our first visit to Isla Mujeres Impressions in 2023, when he worked there. On our 1st day we went to lunch at Seaside Grill and were seated immediately, however it was 20 minutes until we were contacted by a server and the service seemed slow. We ate lunch and Dinner at Oceana and had great service from Hugo and the Manager Viradianna. The service by Eyder at Himatsu was really good. The service at El Patio for dinner was good, but nothing memorable. Many of the restaurants recognized us for our Anniversary celebration with special deserts. Daily Pool Volleyball at the Social Pool at 11am and 4pm was fun thanks to Erika and Carlos.

This hotel exceeded all my expectations. From the staff, the food, to the overall quality of the property. Every team member made me feel genuinely welcome and consistently went above and beyond. Special thanks to the Front Desk agent who checked me in (I forgot he name) she was amazing, she even walked me to my room and explaining everything clearly. A BIG shout out to my two wonderful butlers, Belen and Demi. They made sure I was taken care of throughout my stay and kept me informed about all the activities happening each day. The housekeeping team also deserves recognition for their excellent service. My room was always spotless, and the evening turndown was such a thoughtful touch. I truly cannot express enough gratitude for the incredible staff at this hotel. The property itself is beautiful, but what truly makes it special are the people who work here and make you feel right at home.
