Phenomenal experience! Excellent staff and really felt at home here. The atmosphere was so relaxing and the food was some of the best we’ve had at Secrets. Weather was perfect, even with some rain we had quick options to cover and still be entertained. Every detail here was thought out and perfect!

Our 2nd time here and it’s still a wonderful resort. Shout out to the staff on this rainy day. The preferred bar is packed and they are all doing their best to ensure we all have a nice day (for many, this is our last). Special thank you to Gabriela, a bartender, here at the preferred lounge for pumping out great drinks, with a huge smile and some laughs …much better than sitting in our room all day. Additional thank you to ALL the staff at seaside restaurant for wonderful breakfast, lunch and dinners all week. You can beat their great service coupled with good food and ocean breeze.

We had such a wonderful stay at the resort for my brother’s wedding! The rooms were beautiful, the food was amazing, and every detail made the experience feel special. What really stood out to us were the personal touches and the incredible hospitality throughout our stay. A special thank you to our concierge, Cinthia, who was so welcoming, helpful, and genuinely personable. She went above and beyond to make us feel taken care of and made our stay that much more memorable. It was clear that she truly cared about making our experience a great one. The entire team at the resort was amazing, from the staff who helped make the wedding so beautiful and seamless to everyone we encountered throughout the property. Everyone was so friendly, attentive, and welcoming, which made the entire experience even more special. You could really see the care and effort that went into making everything perfect for such an important occasion. We couldn’t have asked for a more beautiful setting to celebrate my brother’s wedding. Between the gorgeous accommodations, delicious food, thoughtful personal touches, and outstanding team, our stay was truly memorable. We are so grateful for the memories we made and would absolutely recommend this resort to others!

The design of this resort is beautiful, but what really made our stay memorable was the incredible people who work here, delivering outstanding service and going above and beyond with their hospitality and kindness. TLDR: I don’t think you can pick a better all inclusive in the area. All of the spaces feel so new and modern, the beach is great, and the service is the stand out, but research the restaurants ahead of time. We came here for 7 nights with another couple, and on our first day completely lucked out with the loveliest building concierge, Diego. We ended up moving rooms but requested to still keep him as our concierge, and throughout our trip Diego helped us via WhatsApp with everything from pickle ball court reservations to food questions and everything in between. Our friends didn’t meet their concierge until the third or fourth day, and we kept jokingly offering to add them to our group chat. If we come back, we would absolutely request him by name. We had never been to an all-inclusive before, and I was (like others) a bit worried about the food. While the restaurants were a bit hit or miss (Portofino and Himitsu being the stand outs, and El Patio and Seaside Grill’s dinner being the low points), the food was overall so so good. Salty? Yes. Perhaps not made with the highest quality ingredients that left us feeling a bit bloated after a whole week? Also yes. But the taste and selection were overall really impressive, as two people who live in New York City and are used to a pretty high standard for food. Ronaldo at Portofino was our favorite waiter all week, so kind from the start and just exemplary hospitality. Ana, at the breakfast buffet, was also so so helpful with food allergies. We learned the hard way that the signage for allergies, while seemingly comprehensive, wasn’t always accurate — not just at the buffet but at the lunch and dinner restaurants too. Ana helped us with an incredible tact and level of professionalism that from the beginning made me feel like I was in safe hands with her. And each morning when we came to breakfast, she would work with the chefs to prepare my favorites in the back, free of cross contamination. We tried the hibachi experience at Himitsu, and the chef, Angel, was not only super accommodating for me with gluten free soy sauce but he was also really funny, making it such a fun night for us all. I’ve stayed at a fair number of high end resorts, and the service at Secrets Playa Blanca was easily one of the most memorable of all the resorts I’ve been to. After so many interactions, my husband and I kept turning to each other and saying, “the people who work here are SO nice.” We also checked out the spa and LOVED the hydrotherapy experience. After having the place to ourselves the first day, we came back twice more, being guided from the sauna and steam room to the cold plunge, reflexology stones, and different jetted areas. Again, our friends had a bit of a different experience, so we’re so grateful we had Manuel and Aaron as our guides! We weren't very impressed with the massages, however, and wouldn’t personally recommend or repeat. The beach, while nice, didn’t necessarily live up to the hype and awards. We did experience sargassum the second half of our stay, and the water was too rough our entire stay for any the water activities so perhaps that impacted our view. It’s easy enough to walk up and down the resort-filled strip and the sand is soft, but the pools were more of a draw for us. The biggest cons? The hotel check-in when we arrived and the spa check-in desk were oddly lacking the incredibly friendly, outstanding service we found everywhere else. It was off putting in contrast to say the least. And the lack of transparent pricing at the spa (it fluctuates depending on who you ask) felt a bit sleazy. Overall, we would definitely stay here again if we’re looking for an all-inclusive to visit with friends. And given this hotel’s proximity to the Rafa Nadel Tennis Academy (where my husband did lessons nearly every day — just an $8 uber ride away), we’d even consider it for a future long weekend trip just us. While I still wouldn’t consider myself an all-inclusive person after this trip, I was definitely pleasantly surprised by how well the concept was executed at Secrets Playa Blanca, and I now understand the appeal especially when traveling with friends. Spent 5 days here for a friends wedding and had an incredible time. The resort is stunning, the amenities are fantastic, and the staff are top notch. Everyone we met made sure we were having the best experience we could. 10/10 would go back.
