Secrets Playa Blanca Costa Mujeres

My girlfriend and I visited Secrets Playa Blanca Costa Mujeres to celebrate her 27th birthday. We had both always wanted to visit Mexico, and since it was such a special occasion, I wanted to give her the very best experience possible. I can confidently say that this trip exceeded all of our expectations. Our experience was truly phenomenal. We fell in love with Mexico — the culture, the food, the people, and especially the resort itself. Everything from the food, staff, service, rooms, entertainment, and drinks was absolutely outstanding. Honestly, everything was a 10,000/10. The trip was completely worth it, and we created memories that we will never forget. There were several staff members who made our stay even more special and deserve recognition: Karen at the omelet station in the Market Café was always kind, welcoming, and started our mornings perfectly. Eliceo, the concierge for our building, was exceptional. He was professional, thoughtful, respectful, and incredibly attentive throughout our stay. Anytime I reached out to him with a question or request, he responded within seconds and always made sure we were taken care of. Martin, the pool concierge, was amazing. Since my girlfriend and I spent most of our time at the pool, we interacted with him often. He was extremely approachable, helpful, and made us feel genuinely welcome. We built a great relationship with him, and he even took the time to teach us a little about Mexican culture, which made the experience even more meaningful. Jakxin and Amiri, the pool servers, were two of the hardest-working and kindest employees we encountered during our stay. They consistently made sure we were comfortable and never needed anything. If you visit the resort, I highly recommend finding their section by the pool because they truly provide exceptional service. Willy from Seaside Grill and Monserrate from Oceana Restaurant also made our dining experiences unforgettable. Their attentiveness and hospitality made every dinner enjoyable and memorable. Lastly, Jenny, who handled housekeeping for our room, was incredible. Our room was always spotless, clean, and perfectly maintained every single day. Overall, our stay at Secrets Playa Blanca Costa Mujeres was unforgettable. We will absolutely recommend this resort to our family and friends, and we will definitely be returning in the future.

The customer service, the food, the accommodations and ammenities all were above and beyond expectation. What was previously a negative experience at another hotel was soon transformed into a wonderful memory with Secrets when we quickly pivoted to stay there during vacation.

We've been to several Secrets properties (St. James, Akumal, Maroma, Vine, Moxche, and Impressions Moxche), and it seems like they just keep getting better and better with each addition. Secrets Playa Blanca is pristine with beautiful decor throughout and the landscaping is surprisingly mature and lush considering the property is only a couple years old. The Preferred Club pool was just what we were looking for - beautiful and quiet, but conveniently located. The rooms were spacious and well decorated, and housekeeping kept them immaculate with daily cleaning and nightly turndown. And, the design of the public spaces including the restaurants and bars is gorgeous! The spa is luxurious and relaxing, so we'd recommend a visit there. Angeles guided us through the complementary hydrotherapy circuit. She was wonderful and we really loved that experience (particularly the dry sauna and subsequent cold plunge). We also enjoyed our our massages with Wendy and Yesi, who both offered therapeutic and relaxing deep tissue massages, and Armando in the men's locker room was very attentive. The food and drinks were generally good with tons of options, but the Market Cafe was a standout for the freshly made omelettes and sushi, and variety of freshly prepared offerings. The service throughout our stay was truly fantastic. The employees are so friendly and service oriented, it's clear they're well trained. A few shout outs: Miguel at the coffee shop was consistently friendly and made great iced cappuccinos, and drew cute doodles on our morning coffee cups. Brandon cleaned our glasses and gave us cool face towels at the PC pool, as did Fredy, who also created a sweet sand art tribute to our anniversary. Our butlers, Miriam and Gloria, were always checking in and offering to help if we needed anything. Roberto at Seaside anticipated our needs bringing us another round of drinks before we asked, and the grilled shrimp tacos I ordered "off menu" there were fantastic. Andy at the preferred club pool bar knew our drinks and was very friendly. We encountered SO many sweet people that took excellent care of us the entire time. I wish I could remember everyone's names! Another great vacation, and we will be back!

My husband and I visited Secrets Playa Blanca in May 2026. We had a really wonderful time and would highly recommend this resort! This was our first time at a Secrets and we were blown away by the rooms, service, and food. We received a complimentary room upgrade to an ocean view junior suite. Our rooms were turned over twice a day which was a welcome surprise! The bed was very comfortable. The bathroom was great. There is a large tub in the bathroom as well as an outdoor tub on the balcony. We did upgrade to a preferred club room, which I felt was worth it. You have access to a separate lounge and pool, as well as having access to a separate breakfast option. We surprisingly spent most of our pool days here, since it was a little easier to get a shaded area. The staff was a highlight of our trip. Everyone in every department was kind, welcoming and helpful. As preferred club, we also had access to private butlers. They communicate with you through WhatsApp, although our butlers were also always around our building and we could easily talk to them. When we forgot our room key in our room, they were there quickly to unlock it for us. The food in the resort is great, especially for an all inclusive. The highlight for us was Himitsu, the Asian inspired restaurant. Carlos was our waiter and he was a delight. We were able to hit all the dinner restaurants, and all were great. Our longest wait was only about 10 minutes. We loved our stay and would definitely check out other Secrets properties in the future.

My husband and I had an amazing stay for our honeymoon! There was a bit of a hiccup with water leaking from our ceiling upon arrival. Even though the resort was at over 90% occupancy, Denise at the front desk was able to upgrade us within a couple hours to a better room. Rooms are large and ours had a large tub on the balcony which we enjoyed most nights. There is also a large stand alone tub in the room in addition to waterfall shower. Tequila in the room from one of our butlers Jesus was a very nice touch! Our butler team Ernesto and Paola checked in with us by text and in person daily and always made sure we had what we needed. It was a pleasure to be welcomed by Ernesto every morning heading down to the pool, super friendly and attentive! We stayed at the preferred club pool almost the entire time and didn’t see any reason to move around as the service was great. We had amazing waiters poolside everyday. Shoutout to Jonathan and Daniel especially for going above and beyond. They kept the drinks flowing for us and were really on top of it! They made our stay so enjoyable. The beach did have more seaweed than we were used to but one of the staff members mentioned it had been particularly bad this year. They were clearing it well so we did get in the ocean a couple times. Super high humidex as it was May and an extra hot season for them so the pool area was just a better fit for us. The food was outstanding. So many options to choose from but we did a lot of repeats for our dinners because we liked certain places so much! We really enjoyed the French restaurant. Escargot was great! Same with the oysters. Italian was also a favourite. The bread was always fresh. I loved the gnocchi! Beef carpaccio was my husband’s favourite. Raoul was such an attentive server and very knowledgeable! The hibachi dinner was really entertaining and you get a lotttt of food! It was fun to do with a group of other guests. For breakfast and lunch, our favourite was Seaside grill. It is open to preferred guests only for breakfast but all guests for lunch. We requested Sixto as our server everytime as he was so friendly and attentive and it was always a great start to our morning and a pleasant little break at lunch. He had our drink orders down quickly and we didn’t have to ask to refill, he was already on it. He is definitely a great asset to Secrets when it comes to 5 star service. The options were endless and it was always hard to decide what to get. Eggs Benedict was awesome and they also had a chia pudding with fruits, coconut and honey that was yummy and easy if you didn’t want to go too heavy. For lunch, the coconut rice was so good!! My husband said the fish tacos were the best he’d ever had. We frequently got the catch of the day and the grouper and sea bass were both really good. Barefoot grill had some easy pub type food for lunches but with the heat it was challenging to sit outside with a minimal covered area so we only ate there twice and then seaside became our spot. We never checked out the buffet because we enjoyed our service elsewhere. We did room service once and it was a very expansive menu and it was the most fresh/hot food I’ve had as far as room service goes at an all inclusive. Took about 45 mins but that’s fairly standard. Coco cafe was open 24 hours and had sandwiches, pretzels, coffees, and ice cream. Pistachio and strawberry ice cream were favourites. Gabriela did our housekeeping and she was great! She added some beautiful floral touches to our bed on two occasions in celebration of our honeymoon which made it feel extra special! We really enjoyed turn down service every night as well. Beach was walkable but there was a lot of a seaweed areas in the stretches that were not covered by resorts. This was not typical for Playa mujeres in my opinion but we have never travelled at this time so just a bit different for us. Not a huge deal. No vendors on the beaches as it is a private stretch of beach not like cancun. There was always entertainment, circus show and musicians at the pool were great. We enjoyed playing pool and there were two sports bars to choose from, one indoors and one outdoors. The foliage at the resort was really nice. We loved that it had such a tropical feel and that it was not a concrete jungle. Didn’t see too many animals on the resort. Mainly lizards and iguanas. There were 2 local dogs that roamed the resort. Overall, we were really happy with our stay and my husband said it was the best food he’s had at an all-inclusive. We ate and drank very well and wish we could have stayed longer! Thank you!!
