Secrets Playa Blanca Costa Mujeres

We just recently wrapped up a 7 night stay at Secrets Playa Blanca and can say that it is without a doubt our favorite all inclusive property we’ve stayed at too date (have previously stayed at ~ 5 Hyatt Zilara/Ziva properties and 1 secrets property). The resort is well modern and very well kept. Rooms are stylish, clean and comfortable. This is a calm resort with a laid back atmosphere. We stayed in a preferred club room and would highly recommend upgrading to PC as it gets you access to the exclusive club areas and pool. Victor at the preferred club pool and Michael at the preferred club bar provided great service throughout each day at the pool. Our butler service from Duran and Eduardo in building 3 was amazing. They were very easy to communicate with from our phones and they were always highly responsive to our requests. Carlos and Angel provided great service at the hibachi restaurant and overall the food at this resort is very good.

The resort is absolutely beautiful and the staff very helpful and pleasant. We were in a preferred beach front room and perfectly positioned right by the beach, lounge and pool. We would definitely return.

WOW! What an amazing resort. I took my daughter for her graduation present . We had the best time The hospitality was wonderful. We stayed Preferred Club and it was worth it! Out 2 butlers (day/evening Eduardo and Duran they were exceptional. They greet us every morning afternoon. Make sure we had it itineraries by 8 AM. Offered to help us if we needed any assistance with eating anything with our room. They were awesome.! So sweet and always a big smile. My daughter left her cell phone and Eduardo and Duran went over and beyond to help me find the phone after we returned to the US and assisted with getting the cellphone mailed back to us. It was complicated but Eduardo and Duran went above their job description to assist me. Hyatt you should be so proud to have staff that makes sure all guest on property and even when they leave they continue ti serve the customer. Shout out to the best pool attendants -who cleaned our sunglasses, made sure we had great chairs and cool towels throughout the day . They also had great smilies and so polite. And provided floats for us; Thank you the following pool concierge : Fredy (awesome beach attendant too) Victor and Angeles . Yall were great. The best pool bar server is Daniel Tacia ( not spelled last name right he served at PC pool). Damien was so sweet and fast. Always checked on us. The food was fantastic. It was the best I’ve had at any all-inclusive resort in the service as good as a five star restaurant.. so many places to eat. They had fun entertainment at the pool and theaters. In Theaters. From the moment you step out of the transfer car they greet you with a cool towel and a glass of champagne and escort to check-in and from there, it is paradise. The spa is awesome a great experience. I can not say enough about this resort. I also visit Akumal in January 2026. It was a great experience, beautiful great staff, but Secrets Playa Blanca was just a step above. I can not wait to return. Again, Hyatt y’all are so fortunate to have such wonderful staff smile every day they love their jobs and give guest an unbelievable exoerience.

We experienced a beautiful, relaxing nine days at Secrets Playa Blanca. The resort is gorgeous and so well maintained. The pools are large and accessible and we had exceptional service everywhere - from poolside to restaurants to the (fabulous!) coffee shop to butler service in our building. (We were on the Preferred side.) Our room was lovely. Highly recommend this resort.

We chose Secrets Playa Blanca for our honeymoon, and we are SO glad that we did! It exceeded every single one of our expectations! It was our first time at a Secrets Resort, and we will absolutely be coming back to the brand in the future. The resort itself is absolutely beautiful, and is so well designed! It is so clean, and has so much foliage, and is extremely well kept. It is a great size so that nothing is more than a 10-15 minute walk away, which is perfect. The resort struck a perfect balance of making you feel like you could have privacy and private areas, but without feeling cut off from anything or feeling isolated, which was perfect for relaxing and just enjoying yourselves at the resort. The rooms were beautiful, and extremely well appointed, with phenomenal room and housekeeping service, with nightly turndown service, so that you always come back from dinner with a room that is specially made ready for you for bed. The pools had something for everyone, depending on what vibe you were looking for that day. The jungle pool was peaceful and quiet, if you wanted a more relaxing day. The infinity pool was a little more lively, as it had the swim-up bar, but was not overly loud or disruptive, and gave awesome views of the beach and the ocean. The social pool was the liveliest, as this is where the daily activities were mainly held, but even then we did not find them too disruptive or loud when we weren't participating, and it's designed with areas where even in this pool you can be more isolated and in a quieter area. We stayed mostly at the social pool, though also went to the infinity pool, and we can happily say that at both the food and drink service was excellent. If you find yourself with Hugo as your pool-side attendant, you are in for a treat - he consistently went above and beyond with service, often bringing us refills of drinks before we had finished, always remembering our order, and, if we were in the pool when he brought them, would deliver right to the side of the pool so we didn't need to get out to enjoy. Hugo's service was so exceptional that we looked forward and were eager to get a spot on his side of the pool every day! There is also a good ratio of pool chairs and umbrellas to guests. We never had to get up early to reserve a spot, and only once had any issue finding a spot that wasn't directly pool-side - and even then we were able to find a pool-side spot shortly after. The activities at the social pool were also very fun and had a great variety every day! I found myself joining in the pool volleyball, which was so much fun and had great energy, but even when we weren't participating, a lot of the activities were so fun to watch. The food and drinks at the resort were also top-notch! We were very much looking forward to just tasty drinks, and we were so thrilled. We drank a LOT of daquiris and margaritas, and the variety of flavours, each made with fresh fruit and fresh puree, were incredible - especially the guava and passionfruit! The restaurant options were all really tasty, and beautiful places to eat - including the buffet, and the service was extremely good. I would note that the buffet is not open at dinner, and the resort does not allow reservations for the restaurants, as it is a first-come first served system. We were advised at check-in that, sometimes, it got busy between 6:30-7:30, but we only found ourselves waiting more than an hour once, and even then we were just given a thing that would beep when our table was ready, so we just wandered to the bar and had a drink as we waited. Otherwise, we had no problems getting dinner. The only exception to the no-reservation rule was the Teppanyaki Table experience at Hitmitsu. Our concierge had no issue in getting us a reservation while we were there, but we did hear that it is quite limited, so to try and book it as early as possible to ensure you get in. We would HIGHLY recommend this experience if you get the chance - it was so much fun, and SUCH a great show with the teppanyaki chef! Even my wife, who does not eat fish, had more than her fill of chicken and beef, and had an incredible time with the show and experience! The Spa was also so nice and such a great addition to the resort! My wife and I booked the "Where Love is" Package, which included a couple's massage, and we are so glad that we did! The spa itself is such a beautiful, relaxing building, and the design and setup of the experience was just so peaceful and so worth it. Our only regret was that we didn't book further treatments, although I would say they are somewhat pricey, but certainly worth it. If we come back, we are extremely excited to try the hydrotherapy circuit, as we heard nothing but rave things from other guests we talked to. The only thing we would mention is that, as we went in June, the beach had a significant amount of sargassum, which deterred us from spending much time on the beach, which, otherwise was beautiful, large, and striking white sand. We knew the sargassum would be a risk for this time of year, so we weren't too upset, but worth being aware of for anyone travelling at this time. In sum, Secrets Playa Blanca was an easy 10/10 resort for my wife and I for our honeymoon, and we'd easily recommend it to anyone considering it. There is so much more that we could say, from how great the atmosphere and selection of the buffet is, to the quality of the 24/7 room service, to the cleanliness and beauty of the resort and a million other things, but without a doubt, we would recommend this resort. From the welcome drink offered on check-in, to the easy and service at check-out, it was a phenomenal experience!
