Secrets Playa Blanca Costa Mujeres

We stayed at Secrets Playa Blanca Cancun Aug 19 – 26. Overall, it is a very beautiful, lush resort. We did not get (and would not recommend) the Preferred Club. Not enough benefit for the $$.  Slight hiccup at check in – Fabian was great and tried to get us upgraded for a very decent price, however the girl in charge was very negative, not smiling, and would not allow his many requests. He was very apologetic to us, however the push for the ‘90 minute’ breakfast meeting to sell to us was pushed a bit too far (we did not do this).   The larger ‘activity’ pool was very nice – the poolside event employees were great – ‘Sue’ was terrific!! The mini shows they put on were fun to watch. Fredy and Jesus were extremely accommodating, going over and above to assist us with anything we needed. They even provided information regarding our inquiries about where and how to get medications from in town.  The jungle pool was serene and beautiful. The entire resort grounds were pristine, especially with nighttime lighting and fire pits.   Seaside Grill dinners were fabulous! Great food and great service!! At Himitsu we wanted to sit next to the window – there is a $30 bottle of beer charge in order to do that. We did it, but not worth it and surprising. Oceana was great, and Coco Café – ice cream, pastries, wonderful drinks – can’t go wrong!  Desire bartenders, Elmer, Jonathan and Inocencio were GREAT!!! We really enjoyed being there with them and looked forward to going there each night.  Only ‘con’ would be that they don’t serve alcohol until 10am – anywhere, so keep your minibar stocked. At the Market Café for breakfast, the buffet has mimosas and bloody marys available with an impressive assortment of vodkas, tequila and champagne to choose from, so we don’t get the logic. This is the only all-inclusive Secrets resort we have been to that has this restriction (and we have been to a LOT). It’s an adult only resort!  Upon checkout Uriel was very helpful!  All in all we enjoyed our time and would definitely go back!

Great experience, great staff, but if you are looking for a Mexican experience this is not your experince. Zero Mexico here, tooo Americanized. Be prepared for the checkin people to introduce you to someone that will give you a meeting like a time share. I did not enjoyed this part. Took us too long in this meeting and took away over half of my day for my short trip.

Beautiful area and designed resort, plenty of restaurants inside to not get bored on a 12 day holiday. rooms were great same lay out for normal and premium club it seemed. upgraded to premium lounge and this big improvement on service as you would have waiters coming to you rather than having to go to up to a bar. the food was great but not brilliant, if your a foodie i would probably suggest a different location, everything was a bit 8/10 it just didn’t explode with flavour, in all honestly the best meal i had was a buffet self made chicken burger- great buffet that does have quite a few staples such as breads, fruits, salad bar that stay pretty similar all week & then everyday

Wow. What an unforgettable 2-weeks at Secrets Costa Mujeres. A stunning resort which really exceeded all expectations. Perfect decor, amazing grounds, first-class facilities and an exceptional team. The resort was perfect. Large enough to feel special but not overcrowded. Rooms were spacious, very clean and well maintained. Restaurant & bar options were incredible. Lots of varied choice across the resort with special lunchtime & evening themed meals planned across the week. A special shout out to the incredible entertainment team who made our experience even more special. Sinai, Celeste & Suh in particular. Day in day out they always spoke with us and got us involved in the many activities they had planned. These 3 are absolutely incredible and are huge huge assets to this resort. Other mentions are to the incredible barista, Enrique, who again, made the effort every morning to check-in with us and make us these special coffee’s, which really kick-started an amazing day. Overall, a very special resort which felt luxury the moment you arrived. Great for honeymooner’s or just couples in general to relax and recharge. We very much look forward to our return in the near future. A&S

My husband and I spent ten glorious days at this beautiful resort. From the moment you arrive you are made to feel like family. The hotel, grounds, pools and beach are beautiful and super clean but the highlight is the food!! Every restaurant was delicious and the service was amazing. We had an ocean front swim up room (highly recommend). Even the room service was delicious. Jose by the social pool kept our drinks coming all day. Eddie and Eduardo made sure they stayed in touch and took care of any requests we had. Emilio made sure our room was always tidy and turned down our bed every evening. The entertainment team was great! Tailor (my favorite) made sure we had a great time. He and his team really bring the energy! A ten out of ten for us!!
