Be careful

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 2 days ago

SPA was closed for the whole period and will be closed next month, and no notice while booking on the official site. We have chosen this hotel because of a SPA center and were very disappointed finding out that it is closed. And no even a simple "sorry" from the receptionist about that. The jacuzzi on the terrace was missing some parts and handling it was not user friendly at all, using some plastic spigot under it. The floor had trraces of a flood in the past. The wall mounted HDMI outlet for a TV was not working. One of the terrace doors was locked, other was unable to fully open due to a ceiling panel. The friendliness of a one of the receptionist was awful. Actually the rest of the personnel was very good. Good food in the restaurant, but a bit expensive. Good internet and TVs. But overall experience was broken, of cource because of the SPA issue.

GOOD LOCATION, BUT LACKING 5-STAR QUALITIES

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 3 days ago

Currently here on a 3-night stay with the Turkish Airlines free hotel layover program. While the room itself is small, clean & comfortable (3rd floor facing abandoned buildings), and the staff is responsive and helpful, we found the restaurant to be more than way overpriced. Both the quality and quantity were lacking. Two small pasta plates and two beers with no side plates was over USD$100. The breakfast buffet, which was included with our TK package, was , however, outstanding. As far as facilities go, do not stay here if you are looking for any type of Spa or pool experience. That area of the basement is essentially permanently closed. However, the gym area is above average with plenty of Lifefitness machines and free weights. The hotel location is very close (5 minute uphill walk) to a lively and vibrant dining and shopping district where excellent full-course dinners can be found for 25% less than we paid for our pasta dishes in the hotel restaurant. The hotel lobby area also has large and very welcoming and comfortable lounge area, including an outdoor glassed seating area just above street level.

Terrible

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 1 week ago

I stayed at your hotel for 3 nights through Turkish Airlines and 2 nights through Expedia. Through Expedia, I am a VIP member and have a 20% discount on food and beverages. I spoke with the front desk manager, showed all my reservation confirmations, and he even took my phone to check something with someone, but never got back to me afterward. The service was terrible. Another issue: I had 2 espresso coffees and was charged 900 Turkish lira—almost $30 for two coffees. I intended to pay with my American Express credit card, but it was not accepted. I informed the waitress that I would go to my room to get cash, and even so, the waitress and a receptionist went to charge my wife while I was on my way to the room to get the money. There was a coffee shop 5 minutes walking from the hotel for 100 lira each and an Ethiopian coffee much better quality. My room was dirty, the carpet was old and torn, the view from my room was of an abandoned lot, and the room conditions were unacceptable. Not a 5 stars hotel. It’s maximum 3 stars. I only did not cancel my last 2 nights because my reservation was non-refundable. Also there is condom in the room next to the minibar, I have never seen this product inside a family room, “5 stars hotel”.

Wonderful Experience at the Radisson Blu Hotel Pera, Istanbul.

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 1 week ago

The hotel is strategically located, where you can easily get public transportation to tourists site attractions. The ambience of the hotel is beautiful. The atmosphere is clean and the staff are very kind and helpful. It is worth mentioning the following staff: Enes-who looked after us and made our stay very comfortable and enjoyable, and the following restaurant staff: Silvia, Yunus Emre, and Ines. Their breakfast was superb, and they catered to everyone’s choices and taste. Dinner too was fantastic. In all I enjoyed my stay at the Radisson Blu Hotel, Istanbul, Pera. Their hospitality is top notch.

We stayed in Radisson blu Pera, Istanbul. Great place to stay. The staff were very pleasant...Sylvia, Yunus and Enes, who really ensured our comfort. Also, Ines and Yunus in the roof top restaurant. Eren and Omer were really kind as well. The hotel was situated at a convenient location with easy access to local transport and iconic places in Istanbul. The hotel breakfast was fantastic and dinner also great. I recommend the Hotel.
