Ciragan Palace Kempinski Istanbul

We stayed at Çırağan Palace Kempinski for a few nights, and honestly, it exceeded our expectations. I've stayed at quite a few luxury hotels over the years, but there's something special about waking up in an actual Ottoman palace overlooking the Bosphorus. From the moment we arrived, the staff made us feel genuinely welcome. Check-in took a little longer than expected because the hotel was quite busy, but we were offered refreshments while we waited, and everyone was incredibly polite and professional. It never felt like an inconvenience. Our room was beautiful, spotless, and very comfortable. The bed was probably one of the most comfortable I've slept in, and housekeeping did an excellent job every day. We had a partial Bosphorus view, which was still stunning, especially at sunrise and in the evening. The breakfast deserves a special mention. The selection was huge, with everything from fresh pastries and Turkish specialties to made-to-order eggs and fresh fruit. Sitting outside by the Bosphorus with a coffee in the morning is an experience on its own. It can get a little busy during peak breakfast hours, but the staff worked hard to keep everything running smoothly. The infinity pool is absolutely breathtaking. It gets quite popular in the afternoon, so we found that going earlier in the day was much more relaxing. The service around the pool was excellent, and the views are simply unbeatable. What really stood out throughout our stay was the service. Every member of staff we interacted with—from the concierge to the restaurant teams and housekeeping—was friendly, attentive, and genuinely seemed to care that guests had a great experience. Those little interactions made a big difference. The location is also fantastic. We enjoyed walking along the Bosphorus and exploring nearby cafés and restaurants, while still being able to easily reach the main attractions by taxi. If I had to mention one small thing, it would only be that drinks and dining at the hotel are definitely on the expensive side—but that's something you expect from a property of this level and in such a unique location. Overall, this was one of the most memorable hotel stays we've had. The combination of history, luxury, incredible views, and outstanding hospitality makes Çırağan Palace Kempinski truly special. We left already talking about coming back, and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend it to anyone looking for a truly exceptional experience in Istanbul.

The grandeur of the former Ottoman palace, the stunning architecture, the beautifully maintained grounds, and the mesmerizing waterfront views create an atmosphere that is both regal and deeply inspiring. Waking up each morning to the sight of the Bosphorus was a privilege that will remain etched in my memory for years to come. There is a sense of timeless sophistication throughout the property that makes every moment feel special. If I could offer one constructive observation, it would be regarding the front-of-house experience and dining facilities as Tugra and breakfast service. While service was professional, I believe the arrival and daily guest interactions could be elevated through a warmer approach. Simple gestures such as genuine smiles, warm greetings, and acknowledging guests with a heartfelt “good morning” can make a significant difference in transforming a beautiful stay into a truly unforgettable one. A very special recognition goes to Meryem Arslan (I hope this is the correct name) a young gentleman from the Bell Team, who was undoubtedly the brightest star of my experience. Meryem was consistently warm, kind, attentive, and genuinely caring. Her willingness to help, her positive energy, and her sincere hospitality embodied everything luxury service should represent. He made us feel welcomed, valued, and cared for throughout our stay. Employees like Meryem are true ambassadors of the hotel and leave a lasting impression long after the journey ends. Thank you, Çırağan Palace, for allowing us to experience a piece of Istanbul’s history in such a spectacular setting. The life guard at the pool is standing the whole time away from the pool and instead of watching over the hotel guests he was talking to the other members of the staff. They are very loud like 5 people standing and shouting. Definitely not a relaxing 5* experence. The staff ignored my remarks to stop doing this.

Exceptional Service from Mr. Norayr from breakfast. He was very helpful and caring with nice attitude.

Our family split our time between staying in the old city and here on the Bosphorus. This hotel is beautiful. The view is amazing. Pools are nice. Restaurants are good, especially the huge breakfast offered. Housekeeping is amazing. Everything was great from the moment we walked up to the front desk to be checked in to the moment we checked out. Highly recommend if you want to stay on this side of the city.
