Conrad Istanbul Bosphorus

We had a wonderful experience. Everything was wonderful and a great launching pad to explore the amazing historical gem that Istanbul is. Special thank you to Gūllū who took care of us and our room every day with such kindness and humility.

It was an good experience. The ambiance was pretty good.

Our sea facing rooms with balconies were wonderful for watching the sun rise and bustling life in the heart of the European sector. Breakfast buffets and meals at the Marzana were great - including one meal at the Mezzanine terrace. The complimentary pralines were delicious, as were the macarons available from the pastry shop. However the Italian fine dining restaurant prices were just plain ridiculous - we enjoyed far better quality of ingredients and taste across our last trip to Italy. Starting from check in, staff were were very warm and hospitable. Rooms just above the mezzanine terrace restaurant unfortunately have to suffer periods of very loud noisy music and drunken chatter on most evenings

Ok, it is not next to the bosporus as the kempinski/four seasons. But the Conrad does deliver on luxury at a reasonable price. We had a bosporus view deluxe king which was spacious with a very comfortable true king bed and a mini hamam in our walk in shower. There was an issue initially with our room (638) but front desk tried to find solutions and made up for it via sweets, fruit and free drinks at Monet. The sound proofing is excellent so even if we did hear the early morning call for prayer, it did not disturb us. Great view on that side of the building. Excellent gym and nice outdoor pool although the water was too cold to swim in. Service at the pool was ok but security a bit lax. We left for lunch and another guest just moved our belonings. Front desk was efficient but could smile a bit more. 10 minute walk to ferry, 20 minute walk to Kabatas tram station which takes you to the historic sites. And you can pay for the tram, metro and ferry using your credit card. Galataport also close by. All in all an excellent stay!

We returned to the Conrad Istanbul as we had enjoyed it so much two years ago and we were not disappointed, Thank you to Aziz Atsan for his handling of my room request and also to Yakup and the rest of the team in the Executive Lounge which is a lovely space to spend time in, serving wonderful food especially the desserts! At breakfast in the dining room the choices were vast, thank you to the guy who made the omelette's who remembered my order with a big smile. A visit to The Summit Bar is a must, the view is wonderful at night. We will definitely return.
