Reviews for Four Seasons Hotel Istanbul at Sultanahmet

Exceptional care of guests

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 6 days ago

We stayed at the Four Seasons Sultanahmet for 4 nights last week and were really impressed with the hotel and the staff. Despite being right in the historic centre of Istanbul there was very little night time noise and the courtyard garden was a green haven of peace, a respite from the crowded sights. The trip might have gone badly if it wasn't for the staff. My wife lost her engagement ring when we had taken the hotel shuttle to the Bosphorus four Seasons for a meal. Despite the very late hour, the night manager Doğukan Şayir took a very careful history from me, liaised with the Bosphorus staff and it was found! My wife also had a nasty reaction to a wasp sting and the staff couldn't have been more helpful. Everyone was genuinely caring. Istanbul is fascinating but intense: The Four Seasons Sultanahmet provides the perfect refuge when you need it.

Absolutely excellent service

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 1 week ago

Two things stood out for us at this hotel (3 if you count its proximity to the Hagia Sofa and Blue Mosque). Firstly we were upgraded to a superb room/suite with lounge, dressing room, bathroom with shower and jacuzzi and an extra master bedroom if you needed it, we didn’t. Secondly the service from every member of staff was so welcoming, friendly and efficient, from reception to the wine waitress to the restaurant staff. Possibly the best service we’ve received anywhere. Of all the countries we’ve visited, the room itself might just be bettered at the Burj Al Arab.

Ideal situation

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 2 weeks ago

This hotel is ideally situated within 5 minutes walk of all central Istanbul’s top attractions - Blue Mosque, Hagia Sofia, the Cisterns and a 10-15 minute stroll down to the harbour side. In a very, very crowded city this is worth a lot. The hotel itself has high standards of cleanliness and rooms are well maintained - yes, maybe a touch on the small side but still very acceptable. Staff throughout are pleasant and helpful and I would happily return to an excellent hotel.

Excellent stay for visiting the old city

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 3 weeks ago

Had an absolutely amazing stay here. It really was the best place to be based in order to explore the surrounding historical sights. The property is a little oasis amongst the vibrant old city. The concierge team reached out in advance to help with restaurant reservations. They made 3 dinner reservations and all were SUPERB. We also did the Turkish Hamman at the spa. Nuret was DELIGHTFUL. A shoutout to Melissa from the front desk. As we booked the room via Amex, we were able to get complimentary upgrade. However, she recommended that we take a look at both rooms (the one we booked, and the upgradable one) and pick the one we prefer. We ended up going with the one we booked. It was great to know that the upgradable option is there and not get forced to take it. Also a shoutout to the concierge team. I didn't get their names but everyone we encountered were super polite. Would def stay there again the next time we go back to istanbul! ps - we did move to the city after 3 days. The 2 areas are completely different and we thought the split worked out nicely.

Excellent stay - 4 nights

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 4 weeks ago

We recently spent four nights at the wonderful Four Seasons at Sultanahmet. The hotel could not have been more central for the sights in that area. It was an oasis of calm and the atmosphere of the hotel was so nice and welcoming; efficient and friendly. We had a great room on the fourth floor with a balcony overlooking St. Sofia. Breakfasts in the garden were just prefect, before venturing out for the day. Special thanks go to the check- in staff; the amazing Concierge team who were (as usual) just so helpful and understanding and endlessly patient with us and the breakfast team and the bar team (roof-top). Thanks to Yusaf in the roof-top bar for making delicious cocktails and chatting with us most nights, and to Anil who served up great food and Turkish coffee in the dining room. Great ambassadors for the Four Seasons' brand. We would highly recommend a stay here and we look forward to our return trip.
