An amazing hotel - stay here!!

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 4 days ago

My wife and I stayed here for three nights on our way to visit our daughter in Poland. The evening that we arrived we were able to go to the Terrace for drinks and some light food as we settled in after a long flight. It had just opened for the summer season and was a wonderful entry to the hotel and city. We are lucky to have stayed at many 5 star hotels and this hotel is at the very top of the list. I hesitated booking a U.S. based big name luxury hotel with concern that it would be a typical big, sterile hotel. But this hotel is much more of a luxury boutique hotel with excellent personal attention and service. Our room had three large windows with flower boxes that opened to the beautiful courtyard. The many extra touches in the room like, bath salts, fresh fruit daily, lens cleaning cloth for my readers, cocktail shaker with barware, fragrance diffuser spa robes, welcome note etc were very appreciated. The entire staff went out of their way to take care of any requests we had and anticipated needs before we knew we had them. We had breakfast at the hotel both mornings and it was also exceptional. I don't know if this is the best hotel we have ever stayed in but it is right at the top of the list (maybe the top). I highly recommend a stay her!!

Outstanding service & comfort at luxurious hotel near major downtown tourist attractions

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 2 weeks ago

This Four Seasons Hotel provides outstanding service & comfort at a luxurious hotel near major downtown Istanbul tourist attractions. We stayed 4 nights and enjoyed all the service (turndown night service, careful room cleaning each day) we had in our large comfortable rooms. All the staff we encountered (including the cat guarding the front entrance & lobby) were very friendly & helpful (in fluent English). There's a very good breakfast service with both conventional food items + custom cooked egg items available each morning. We also had a nice meal at the rooftop restaurant, which lots of hot & cold items (mostly appetizers) on its menu. There are also a couple of lobby bars; all of these food & drink locaions gave us prompt service. If you can afford the per-room price, this is a good downtown Istanbul choice.

Amazing stay!

What an amazing experience. We did not want to leave. Everyone was so friendly and helpful. Always smiling. Our room was outstanding. Clean and well appointed. It was a dream staying there. The entire hotel both inside and outside was maintained to perfection. We ate breakfast each morning and there was an outstanding selection on their continental buffet and plenty of menu options. Service was outstanding. Our stay was part of a Viking Ocean Cruise package. We were so thrilled with the experience. The memory of our stay will remain with me forever.

Home of the $65 Bellini

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 4 weeks ago

This is a comfortable property set in the very touristy Sultanahmet area. Comfortable rooms, no great views however as it’s an old prison, and a good restaurant. Be careful with the taxi service offered by the hotel, as the one trip we took (we were assured it would be “on the meter”) had the driver trying to charge me 3x the estimated rate on Uber (which really is just a link to the local yellow taxi service in Istanbul so a decent indication of the right price). This was consistent with the kind of rip-off attitude many tourist destinations in Turkey seem to have adopted (this hotel charged $65 for a Bellini in their bar!), so keep your calculator handy!

Perfect location in Sultanahmet

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 2 months ago

One of the loveliest spots I have stayed at. As soon as my daughter and I checked in, they were incredibly welcoming. The spaces were gracious and clean. Every day, a new treat and fresh fruit was provided in the room. All the personal amenities were provided, including umbrellas on rainy days. Communication on the app was easy, if one wanted to chat that way, as well. We ate mostly offsite trying the local fare, but did eat in our room twice when exhausted from sightseeing and for brunch one morning. All of those times, the meals were delicious and the food was fresh. Everyone was incredibly attentive and kind. Although I was visiting my daughter as she was on her study abroad for the semester’s spring break, I had an immediate business need and had to scan/sign some papers. There is no business center, but the front desk was able to support me immediately. We walked to the Bosphorus Four Seasons (quite a distance!); there are shuttles between the sites. Definitely worth a visit to see the contrast. I liked being in Sultanahmet because of our itinerary - Hagia Sophia, Blue Mosque, Basilica Cistern, Grand Bazaar, Topkapi Palace, etc. And the driver, Burcu, who picked us up from the airport, as well as drove us back to the airport on our separate legs was just wonderful. On time and very safe!
