Excellent visit

Absolutely wonderful hotel with exceptional concierge staff! The rooms were lovely and highly automated. We had a huge 2 story corner suite and it was beautiful. The bar tender was incredible (he’s been there for more than 20 years) and the check-in and concierge staff were unbelievable!

Excellent, historic property in perfect location

Excellent property. Beautifully decorated to convey a sense of what living in that exciting city must be like - combining incredible history with modernity. As with all Four Seasons hotels, service staff was wonderful, and they conscientiously provided us with 2 large bottles ( 1 L) of water twice a day. Best of all, it was located EXACTLY where we wanted to be - a 6 minute walk from Sultanahmet park - a large urban square that is flanked on one side by Hagia Sophia and by Sultan Ahmet Mosque on the other. Just beyond Hagia Sophia is Topkapi Palace. The Basilica Cistern is a few short blocks beyond Sultanahmet park. And if you want to see some whirling dervishes, the Hodja Pasha Performing Arts Theater hosts a Sema Ceremony most evenings and is within walking distance. Breakfast was fine and the staff helpful with my gluten-free needs – but Ted enjoyed it more than I did. I would not hesitate to recommend the Four Seasons Sultanahmet.

This is experiential travel at its best. Highest recommendation.

I can’t speak highly enough of this property. Absolutely stunning. I’ve stayed in some lovely properties before, many of them Four Seasons. However, even the best of these properties can be somewhat analogous and even anonymous at times. This Sultanahmet property, however, is something else. It’s like going back in time. The FS Grand Hotel Du Cap Ferrat is experiential travel. It transcends a typical hotel stay and turns it into something incredibly special and memorable. Like that property, the Four Seasons Sultanahmet does the same. The history of the building. The architecture. The recent renovations (so tasteful). The property tells a story and you by proxy, become fully immersed in that story and in old Istanbul. It’s simply magical. The gardens are stunning. The food is divine (and SO reasonably priced. I was shocked, to be honest. Might be the best value in Istanbul - which is completely atypical for a Four Seasons lol). The rooms are smaller than many in Istanbul, but the charm and character of the property more than makes up for it. The linens are divine (I had to buy them). The spa was wonderful and very personal (special recognition to Natty - what a wonderful therapist and kind soul). The magic of this property, however, lies very much in the staff. So courteous. So professional. So refined. This is how luxury hospitality is done. Special thank you to Alper and the concierge team for always being available and so very helpful. I can’t speak highly enough about this property. You’ve sincerely raised the bar. If you’re looking to stay ensconced within the old city whilst having the ultimate luxury respite within feet of the action, look no further. FS Sultanahmet has raised the bar. No wonder it was rated The World’s Best Hotel by Travel & Leisure readers. Thanks for the magic!

Beautiful hotel in amazing location

We just arrived back from a wonderful stay at the four seasons in Istanbul. We were debating between the old town location and the Bosphorus and we are SO glad we went with the old town. It is charming while also modern and tastefully designed (having received an uplift in 2022). We stayed in a junior suite, which was ample space for our family with three children (8,6 and 3). The breakfast was delicious and the location is unmatched. If staying in the height of summer I might recommend splitting between here and the Bosphorus location but we took advantage of the free shuttle that runs between the two locations to go for a swim at the other one afternoon. The service was Four Seasons standard excellent with the staff providing everything we could need. We will certainly be back next time in Istanbul!!

Back to Back trip delivering a very special and personalised service

From arrival managed by The Four Seasons Team on day 1 from Italy to managing the transfer from Istanbul to Cappadocia and return - all aspects were managed with care, concern and understanding by a very wonderful concierge team. From initial arrival that gave views over Sultanahemet from various angles to an absolute wondrous view of Hagia Sofia on our arrival “home” prior to our next adventure, thank you! Being a part of a great team is always a privilege and hospitality is so much more. I have come to regard the recognition of Les clefs d’or as a standard and any team considered is the “best of the best”… Lastly if I may just recognise one enthusiastic restaurant team member on behalf of my wife and I - Anil Yucepur - superb service. The team recommendation for a PRESTIGE KAVAKLIDERE 2022 was outstanding, unbelievable! My family looks forward to being looked after again very soon, thankyou!
