Park Hyatt Istanbul - Macka Palas

The hotel itself is beautiful, but unfortunately, my stay left me feeling that something was missing. From check-in to breakfast and other interactions throughout our stay, the overall experience was consistently below my expectations. The staff should have been more attentive and willing to assist. I was not impressed with the service when we checked in, and unfortunately, the breakfast experience the following morning was also far below my expectations. When we arrived for breakfast, we were told that the restaurant was full because of a large group. The restaurant staff appeared overwhelmed by the crowd, and no one made any effort to assist us or find a solution. I eventually went to the front desk and explained that I am a Globalist and was hoping to have breakfast before leaving the hotel for a full day of activities. The front desk staff went into the restaurant and spoke with the restaurant team, and they eventually found a table for us. However, it was clear that the staff were not adequately prepared to handle a large crowd. Our orders took almost an hour to arrive. While waiting, we went to the self-service buffet area, only to find that there were no plates available. I had to ask the staff multiple times before plates were brought out. Many of the buffet items were also depleted, and they were not replenished in a timely manner. Most of the staff we encountered did not seem to enjoy their work. There were very few smiles, and the service often felt inattentive and lacking in genuine willingness to help. I don’t want to take it personally, but this made us feel less welcomed as guests. Even at the pool, the service was disappointing. When I went to the pool with the kids, there were no towels available. I had to go back to the front desk and ask them to have someone bring towels to the pool. It took quite some time, and we ended up waiting at the poolside shivering while we waited for the towels. It was certainly not the kind of experience I expected from this level of hotel. Overall, while the hotel itself is beautiful, we encountered too many instances of subpar service during our stay. The property has a lot of potential, but the service did not live up to the standard I expected. I’m not sure whether I would choose to stay here again when I return to Istanbul.

Incredible experience staying at The Park Hyatt. Everyone that works at the hotel provided us impeccable customer service. They are incredibly kid friendly and accommodating towards families. The food was extremely high quality. Great rooftop pool that was always kept clean and well serviced. Great walking location in the city

swimming pool is tiny and dirty not managed only 1 restuarnat which serve breakast and lunch dinner at the same spot and qualtiy is not good staff is not trained , and not friendly overall 3 star hotel quality with 5 star price Laurie K. mangaer is also extremly rude

Easily one of the best Hyatt stays we have ever had. The staff and the facilities were amazing. If you are a Globalist be prepared for one of the best breakfast experiences in any Hyatt. the selection was outrageous as we had the full buffett and could order anything we wanted from the main menu including speciality coffees, prepared breakfast items and uniquely Turkish breakfast samplings. The gym was the most technologically advanced gym of any hotel as they have the brand new AI Technogym machines and the gym is huge and we wanted to spend the entire day there. The rooms are beautiful, the staff are amazing, the neighborhood is quiet and charming with a local feel.
