Park Hyatt Istanbul - Macka Palas

I stayed at this hotel 6-7 times and enjoyed every moment. Perfect location,you feel safe at any time of the day and everything is close by- shops, restaurants, cafes. The hotel itsself is very clean everywhere, the houskeeping is doing an excellent job. From the first minute the welcome at the reception is very pkeasant. The restaurants on the territory of hotel are very delicious. My favorite cosy cafe bar Cappucino and the staff here are very friendly. Cipriany restaurant is amasing and service is absolutely outstanding. Special thanks to Zeynep from Kalimera restaurant and Mustafa from reception. Both are very customer oriented, attentive and geniunenly caring. Value 5/5, service 5/5, location 5/5, cleanliness 5/5. Thanks to everyone who made my stay perfect again. Arzu Aliyeva

Great luxury hotel highly recommend to stay, the only improvement they could make is moving the location right on the Bosphorus.

A true 5-star hotel that exceeded all expectations. We have stayed at so many other 5-star places where something just wasn't quite right (e..g, a slow shower or sink drain (pet-peeve of mine and surprising frequent), a tiny bit of mildew in the bathroom caulk, a snooty employee, the room was misrepresented as having a view, or breakfast was just okay, etc.), which is why I never left a review because a 4-star review seemed unkind. Now, finally, a true 5-star experience at the 5-star Macka Palas. Our stay here was just spectacular, exceeding every expectation. The staff was so kind and friendly, you genuinely felt welcomed. The hotel whispered understated elegance and, more importantly, everything functioned perfectly, with thoughtful and unexpected details. For instance, the bathroom had a drinking water tap, which is particularly helpful in a country where you can't drink tap water; the nightlight was a soft, warm, yellow light that allows you to see the bathroom at night without waking you up (so many other hotels have garish florescent night lights). Customer service exceeded our expectations. By way of example, when we asked for extra bottled water (before we realized there was a drinking water tap) and extra pillows, within less than 10 minutes, we received an inordinate amount of bottled water and two big fluffy pillows. We also had a wonderful experiences at the Rooftop Bar and the Greek restaurant. The view at the Rooftop Bar was stunning and service lovely. We had a delicious dinner at the Greek restaurant and the breakfast was literally the best breakfast during our long Turkish holiday. Breakfast featured an yummy buffet, which was impressive enough. But again, not for Macka Palas, they had higher standards and took breakfast to the next level by providing a cultural education. Their breakfast featured a Turkish female chef in traditional attire who rolled out fresh Turkish pancakes with her mad skills. The resulting Turkish pancake filled with spinach, mushrooms, and Turkish cheese (many other options to choose from btw) was beyond delicious that we engaged in gluttony and had to skip lunch. Finally, I should mention we booked with AMEX Platinum and received special perks, including treats sent to our room. A truly lovely hotel employee, Zeynep, accidentally dropped our treats and apologized profusely. We did not care and was worried about her being cut by broken glass. Within five minutes, housekeeping came and cleaned up the dropped treats. Ten minutes later Zeynep returned with not only the treats, but a fruit plate to boot as an apology for the dropped treats (talk about amazing service). We were frankly stunned by the unexpected warm welcome. I'm not a great photographer, so my pictures does not do the hotel room justice, but it was really was beautiful and the bed truly comfortable--both firm, yet plush. We would definitely be back and recommend this amazing hotel to all our friends.

My wife and I spent four nights at the Park Hyatt Macka Palas in mid August. It was easily one of my best hotel experiences ever. I was impressed by the genuine concern and care of all the staff members who always greeted my wife and I with a smile and a willingness to make our stay a pleasant one. My upgraded room was spacious and immaculate. The restaurant options were great. We also spent several evenings enjoying cocktails and food, as well as the spectacular view, at the roof top bar. I highly recommend staying here for an authentic taste of Turkish hospitality. RonH
