Late dinner at Agatha restaurant
We had dinner in the Agatha restaurant and it was lovely… our waiter. EMIRHAN was excellent… he was friendly, caring, accommodating, knowledgeable and considerate… an amazing experience

Hospital with unique history and culture
When I first visited Istanbul 25 years ago, my local friends brought me to the lobby of Pera Palace and told me about its fascinating history and connection to the Orient Express. I still remembered that visit all these years later, so it was very special to finally return—this time as a guest. We stayed at Pera Palace both at the beginning and the end of our 20-day trip through Turkey, and thoroughly enjoyed both stays. The hospitality was especially memorable. The front desk manager, Mr. Mehmet, was incredibly helpful and genuinely kind and friendly. At the concierge desk, Gürsel Köşedağı was equally warm and thoughtful. He personally walked us to a restaurant he recommended, which we loved so much that we went back a second time! He also walked with me to a small local shop where I could buy high-quality dried figs. These personal touches made us feel truly welcomed. The housekeeping staff were also very helpful, and on our last evening we even had massages at the hotel—a wonderful way to end our trip. We stayed in both Golden Horn–view and city-view rooms, and found both very pleasant and comfortable. The location is excellent, with a wonderful mix of local life and visitor attractions nearby. What I love most about Pera Palace is the feeling of staying somewhere where Istanbul’s history and today’s culture come together. Twenty-five years after first walking into its lobby, I finally had the chance to stay here. It was worth the wait, and we will definitely be back.

A great stay at the Pera Palace
Loved our stay in the Pera Palace-stayed in the Hemingway Room which was a corner with lots of light. Great staff, terrific manners and helpful, but have to highlight the spa staff and a terrific deep tissue massage with Lina that was needed after all our walking in Istanbul.
