Reviews for Radisson Blu Hotel, Istanbul Pera

Great stay in a vibrant are

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 3 days ago

We arrived exhausted and very early from an overnight flight and the staff worked miracles to get us into our room as soon as possible. The hotel is in a vibrant area undergoing regeneration but the rooms are well appointed and the staff continued to be efficiently helpful. The views from the Terrace are wonderful as is the breakfast. Our stay was part of the Turkish Airlines two free nights offer. A benefit really worth having. Thank you Turkish Airlines and Radisson.

Stolen wallet in the breakfast room

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 1 week ago

I stayed here with Turkish Air stopover, but was sadly mistaken it as 5 star hotel. I can honestly say it is 3 and a half star. The location, albeit it is close to Taksim, is a little weird, and the room is not in attractive state. They don't put Turkish air customers in the best of the rooms. The most appalling thing happened during our stay in the hotel. My husband and another couple were having breakfast in the rooftop restaurant on the morning of departure, and a little girl came by and snatched my husband's jacket with his wallet right in front of our eyes. Apparently the girl walked into the hotel by herself and stayed in the restaurant for awhile by herself looking around for her prey. The girl was there for awhile sutting by herself but none of the employees checked on her. Within 30 minutes before I reported the credit cards as stolen, they charged $15,000 worth of online transactions on his cards. The girl was obviously with a professional crime ring, from the way she stole from our table unknownst to us, and the amount of money charged on various credit cards within a very short period of time. The hotel management, albeit courteous, was clueless as to what happened and what can be done, and the police were the same way. Perhaps they see these things too often. I emailed the management afterwards if they can claim my lost items ( the jacket and the wallet at least) on their insurance and also if there's any progress in the investigation but haven't heard back. Istanbul is fun but unsafe. This was probably one of the worse hotel experiences I had in my travel life.

A Perfect Istanbul Stopover That We Didn’t Want to End!

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 2 weeks ago

We originally booked the Radisson Blu Hotel, Istanbul Pera as part of our Istanbul Stopover, but we loved the hotel so much that we decided to extend our stay. It was the perfect base for our time in this incredible city. From the moment we arrived, the front desk staff made us feel incredibly welcome. They were genuinely helpful and went above and beyond to ensure our stay was wonderful. They handled all our questions with ease, provided excellent local dinner recommendations, and seamlessly arranged our transportation. Our room was surprisingly spacious, the beds were comfortable, and the showers were amazing, providing the perfect way to unwind after a day of sightseeing. We looked forward to the breakfast buffet every morning. It was packed with fresh, delicious options that ensured we started every day on the right foot. The hotel’s location in Pera is ideal. We were steps away from fantastic restaurants and vibrant local nightlife, yet it was still easy to hop on public transit to reach the historic sites across the city. We will definitely be returning to the Radisson Blu Pera the next time we find ourselves in Istanbul. Highly recommended!

Friendly staff and good location, but very old hotel

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 3 weeks ago

The stay was a bit dissapointing for a 5 star hotel. We expected much better room and bathroom conditions and the quality of bed, bed linen, towels etc. I this this hotel needs an urgent upgrade and refurbishment. It is just an old hotel. However, the staff was amazingly helpful and friendly, Thank you to all of them from reception to cleaining lady on the floor and a barman on the top floor restaurant. The location was good to explore the city too. The breakfast was average... Overall we enjoyed our stay, but it is not a 5 star hotel, unfortunately.
