Old, poorly maintained hotel with very inconsistent rooms and disappointing service — I would not stay here again. I booked two rooms, on different floors, which unfortunately gave me a fairly complete picture of the hotel. The first impression is not good: the property feels old and poorly maintained rather than simply “classic” or traditional. The decoration is very dated, and in the common areas we noticed visible dust on lamps, cobwebs and a general lack of proper upkeep. 6th-floor room: acceptable, but clearly ageing The room on the 6th floor was relatively decent. The housekeeping team on this floor deserves some credit: they were attentive and clearly did their best. However, they cannot perform miracles when the hotel itself is ageing and appears to lack proper maintenance. There were mould marks around the shower seals, significant limescale and several other signs of wear in the bathroom. The room itself was otherwise acceptable, despite the old-fashioned decoration, and the small terrace was definitely a positive point. Second booking: from the 5th floor to the 4th floor Our second reservation was initially for a room on the 5th floor. As soon as we entered the room, however, we immediately asked to change because there was a constant and disturbing noise coming from behind the walls. I cannot say exactly what caused it — possibly the wind, as the room was located on the side of the building — but it was clearly not a room in which we felt we could sleep comfortably. The hotel therefore offered us another room on the 4th floor. It may have been a slightly lower room category, but at first glance everything seemed acceptable, so we agreed to move. Unfortunately, it was only after going out and coming back later that we really discovered what staying on the 4th floor was like. 4th-floor room: avoid if possible The entire floor had a very unpleasant sewage smell, which was particularly noticeable inside our room. The air conditioning also worked intermittently. During our first night, it stopped completely while we were sleeping, and we woke up at around 3 a.m. sweating because the room had become far too hot. We stayed there that first night partly because we had already asked to change rooms once and felt uncomfortable asking yet again immediately. The following day, however, we did ask reception to move us because the situation was simply not acceptable. We were told that no other rooms were available. What made this particularly frustrating was that, when I checked Booking.com myself, rooms at the hotel were still showing as available. Housekeeping on the 4th floor was also noticeably less thorough than on the 6th floor. And to make matters worse, the hotel had a water outage for approximately half a day, unfortunately exactly when we needed to shower before going out for the evening. Service and reception: average at best Overall, the reception and service were disappointing. Given the number of issues we experienced — changing rooms, sewage smell, unreliable air conditioning and a prolonged water outage — I would have expected a more proactive approach from the hotel. Instead, the service remained fairly basic throughout the stay. What I found particularly surprising was that, at check-out, we were still asked to leave the hotel a five-star review. Considering our experience, that request felt completely disconnected from the reality of our stay. In summary This is an ageing hotel in need of serious renovation and much better maintenance. At best, the hotel provides a basic place to sleep in a convenient location. At worst, even getting a comfortable night’s sleep becomes difficult.

Lovely place to stay. Location is pretty good to access most sites. Public transport is close by. Staff very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was excellent. Silvia and Conie were very good table servers. A most enjoyable stay.

From the moment I arrived until the day I checked out, every member of the staff was welcoming, professional, and genuinely attentive. I'd especially like to recognize Aykut from the Front Office, who stood out with his friendly personality, positive attitude, and exceptional level of hospitality. He made the check-in process smooth, answered every question with patience, and always greeted guests with a sincere smile, making everyone feel truly welcome. I would also like to thank the entire Front Office team, Housekeeping, Food & Beverage, and all the other hotel staff. Everyone worked together professionally and was always willing to help whenever needed. Their teamwork, attention to detail, and commitment to guest satisfaction made my stay comfortable and memorable. It's clear that the hotel has a team that genuinely cares about its guests. Thank you all for the wonderful service—I look forward to staying here again and will gladly recommend this hotel to my family and friends.

We were unable to be provided with all the rooms we had purchased in advance. One couple received a downgrade, staff were matter of fact about the change not seeing it as an issue. The hotel promised to refund the difference (suite to exec room) for the nights we were affected, but this hasn’t happened 4 weeks after returning home.
