Skip shangri la and try somewhere else
Stayed here for a night with my family after staying at the park Hyatt a few days prior in Istanbul. I would recommend park Hyatt over shangri la and it’s not as expensive. At shangri la the service was not great, long waits at restaurants before we were attended. For room service they didn’t bring any water with the dinner. The bathrooms smart mirror didn’t work. When we requested a cab to the airport, they said it’d be 180 euros whereas uber was 70 with the nice big van. The location isn’t great, from the restaurant you only see the ferry and there’s so much traffic around the hotel that it is harder to get places. And there’s no where great to walk to. The presidents house is next to the hotel so there’s extra security and traffic. The bathroom holder was cracked and broken. The international restaurant was only ok although a decent enough selection. All in all wouldn’t recommend, plenty of other great options in the city.

We have stayed 6 nights and had a most wonderful stay in a Premier Bosphorus Room - beautiful hotel, excellent location as well as outstanding service and friendly staff.

A beautifully located hotel with an excellent staff. Our room was huge with all the modern amenities, the only thing I noticed that with my iPhone could not stream as the hotel only supported Samsung equipment.

Emircan was very helpful. Reception staff also gave good information. Breakfast was wonderful and the hotel is one of the best I have had the privelage to stay in!!! Will come back for sure.
