Booked for two nights but actually checked out after the first night. The hotel is undeniably impressive from a visual perspective very grand, elegant, and luxurious. The pool, spa, and views are outstanding definitely a five star property. However, I found the service experience lacking. The staff felt quite cold and transactional, with interactions seeming focused on payment and processes rather than hospitality. While the facilities are five star, I felt it was missing the warmth and personal touch that I would expect from a luxury hotel. To me, it felt more like a high end business hotel than a destination for a relaxing holiday. That said, the hotel has many excellent reviews, so perhaps my experience was not representative and I may simply have visited on an off day.

We have thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Swissôtel Istanbul, and a special thank you goes to Mert in the Executive Lounge. He has been exceptional — welcoming us with a genuine smile at breakfast and once again during happy hour. What stood out most was not only his professionalism and attention to detail, but his sincere warmth and care in making us feel at home. Employees like Mert truly elevate the guest experience and are a great reflection of the hospitality at Swissôtel. Thank you, Mert, for making our visit to Istanbul even more memorable.
