Pacifica Resort Ixtapa

Pacifica Ixtapa and Pacifica Grand are our favorite places to stay in all of Mexico and 2026 was our 22nd time staying at Pacifica and most of the time we stay for 2 weeks at a time. The staff is always wonderful and many of them have been here for years, and when we arrive at Pacifica, it feels like we are at our second home amongst long time family members and friends. Pacifica Ixtapa has 5 good restaurants (when you include the pizza bar) and and Pacifica Grand in Zihuataneo ("ZIHUA") has 2 fine restaurants, and both have have great food on the beach. While we eat in the restaurants at the resorts on occasion, at least half the time we go into Ixtapa or Zihua to have dinner as both towns have many excellent restaurants. And whether it is Pacifica Ixtapa or Pacifica Grand in Zihua, both sit on hillsides and the views are terrific and sunsets are spectacular.

We receive nothing but the best service when we are at Pacífica. Whether it is Ivon’s management of the beach palapas, Irving and the whole wait staff at Moon Bar’s service, Perfecto’s handling of our luggage, Carina and the housekeeping staff’s care of our accommodations, or the entire staff from the gondola to the Mini Mart to the great choice of restaurants, we always feel cared for, and anxious to return.

We have loved Pacifica Resort Ixtapa since becoming members in 1997! It’s our home away from home, our little slice of paradise. The staff is amazing, so welcoming! This year it’s been wonderful having Ivan at the beach, greeting us daily asking how our room and stay is! Also, always feel safe with lifeguard Miguel overlooking the beach and pool, plus the great security team! Keep up the great work!!

We love Pacifica Grand. The resort is beautiful. What really makes it amazing is the employees, always ready to go the extra mile. If its in their power they will make your requests happen! We were fortunate enough to stay in 1 of the 2 units that had some recent renovations, mostly cosmetic, but very nicely done by 2 of the amazing employees I spoke of before. I hope they have the opportunity to complete this in the other 4 units in our building before we return next year January. We look forward to coming back to our home away from home all year.

Everytime we are coming to Pacifica Ixtapa we are spending our vacation with Pacifica Family. We participate in many activities, enjoying delicious foods in Pacifica restaurants like Tulipanes,Bugambilias, Moon Bar , Solarium and El Faro. We are amazed with friendly and courteous staff members who remember our names from year to year.
