Pacifica Resort Ixtapa

We have been members for 17 years and only missed one year coming to the Pacifica when our grandson was born. As in previous years, the weather was great and the Pacifica staff were friendly and accommodating. However, it is very disappointing for us when we arrive each year in March and there are changes that affect our stay. This year it was the closure of the Moon Bar for breakfast and the reduction the gondola hours were operating. We were on the all inclusive and really enjoy sitting down for a nice breakfast at the Moon Bar rather than having the buffet every day. The change in the gondola hours to 9AM on the week days directly impacted us as we stay in the Senior King and transportation is always difficult to get in the morning. in the past, we have utilized the gondola to get to the beach for early morning walks 100% of the time. One other note is that it really hard to want to invest in the all inclusive when all the restaurants do not have some variety in their menus from week to week. This has been a common complaint of many of the guest that we spoke with.

We have been coming here since 1990. It’s our happy place. It is beautiful and relaxing. We get exceptional service everywhere on the property. Jose and Antonio on the beach keep us full of food and drink on the beach each day. Alfonzo is the best concierge. He helps with every aspect of our trip to make things easy for us. Massages, reservations and anything else we need. Breakfast is always the best way to start the day there. Each year we see new improvements making it an even better place to visit. It is truly our home away from home. Everyone from the luggage people who greet you to the house keepers and servers and maintenance people do their job so well to make our trip always one of the best trips each year. We can’t wait to come back!!

This is the second year we've come. The resort is beautiful. The service is great, everything is clean. The beach is outstanding. The resort is comprised of numerous buildings, all are on a tiered hillside, so there are a lot of steps. They offer free transportation throughout the resort and even have a gondola. We just took the steps as it was a good break from sitting around on the beach all day.

Excellent Staff The entire staff at this resort are incredible. In particular. Ivan (beach concierge) has gone above and beyond to make sure we are enjoying our vacation. His English is excellent. He is very professional and friendly. Always a big smile to greet you every day. Thank you so much!
