The Wort Hotel

We had a wonderful experience at the Wort Hotel. The staff were outstanding and attentive to all our needs. Everyone was so friendly and professional. I give this hotel 5 stars. Thank you to all the staff.

The Wort is a wonderful hotel, located in the heart of Jackson, adjacent to the town square area and many shops, restaurants, and with easy access to recreational activities, including the ski slopes. The atmosphere is classic old west, with cowboy and Native American themes throughout, including an impressive collection of western art. Rooms are well-sized and beautifully decorated, and continue the western theme throughout - very comfortable. We did have an issue with our room heater on our first night, but the staff corrected that problem as soon as they became aware of it, then offered us a free upgrade (to an incredible suite with a great view and even more space and beautiful art), and we were extremely pleased with the response to our issue. We were pleasantly surprised to find live music and a vibrant atmosphere at the Silver Dollar Bar, located right inside the hotel. The dance floor was filled with couples of all ages (including us!) showing off their best swing moves (or in our case, just swaying back and forth) to a fantastic bluegrass and country-western band. The room rates are not inexpensive, but well worth the cost based on location, amenities, service, and atmosphere. We were in need of a luxurious experience after spending multiple nights in less expensive and more pedestrian hotels while on our 30-day National Parks driving tour. The Wort delivered more than expected! I highly recommend The Wort as a terrific place to stay when visiting the Jackson Hole area.

First, there were lots of stairs. We were told there was an elevator. There was-at the back of the hotel by the loading dock. You cannot check in til 4 but the bellman leaves prior to that. We are senior citizens with health issues. Then to check out early we had to haul the luggage down the elevator and take out through the loading dock to the car parked in front of the hotel because it was too early for a bellman. The food at the restaurant was inedible. This is a very pricey hotel but without standard amenities.

Great customer service, nice atmosphere, centrally located and walking distance to downtown shops and galleries. Easy drive to South entrance of Yellowstone.

Great staff - very helpful and friendly. Very well appointed rooms with small details making a real difference. Beautiful western charm
