Reviews for The Cloudveil

A perfect stay.

We could not have had a more pleasant and stress free stay in Jackson Hole. Beside the perfect location, the staff were so professional and well trained in customer service. The front desk staff, particularly Grace, were so helpful when our flight was delayed many hours. All of our needs for a wonderful ski trip were met. We arranged ski rentals through Cloudvail prior to our arrival, making the process very simple. Our room was immaculate and well appointed. I love that it was possible to crack a window for fresh air, many accommodations do not have that ability. A wonderful stay, we will not be staying anywhere else in Jackson Hole.

Great property, luxury for a ski/snowboard trip!

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 2 months ago

Such a great property. This was only my second time visiting Jackson Hole but first time staying in the town of Jackson vs. on the resort. This hotel made that trip to the resort each day worth it and then some! LOCATION Ideal, even for a goal of skiing/snowboarding at Jackson Hole each day, as it is right in downtown Jackson. It takes about 20 minutes to reach the area from the airport, and about 20 minutes to get to JHMR. Since the hotel provides three free shuttles in the morning and three more in the afternoon, you should never be without a convenient time to get to the resort in comfort. The shuttle is quite reliable, and I'd rather have the convenience of downtown Jackson steps away vs. a car ride and a potentially difficult task finding parking in the evenings by staying on the resort. SERVICE In addition to the shuttle, the hotel provides complimentary usage of Black Tie Ski Rentals, which allows you to stow any gear in the theater (right next to Bridger Gondola) at any time, even overnight. Bring your board or skis on the shuttle your first day, then leave them with Black Tie overnight for morning pickup. A nice luxury at no charge. In the hotel, service was excellent as you'd expect from an Autograph property. The restaurant met this expectation along with front desk staff as well. AMENITIES The pool, while heated, is not something I used with temps in the teens, but the hot tub is large enough for probably 8 people and is a constant 103 even with bitter cold ambient air temps. The hotel provides robes, slippers, and of course towels. On each floor, you'll find a filtered water tap with complimentary snacks, bagged tea, cups, etc. I assume they do this in lieu of a lounge, which makes sense considering the hotel is only 5 floors. Although I'm a fitness nut and always look for quality hotel facilities, on a snowboarding trip I didn't plan to do anything but some recovery stretching. The fitness area at Cloudveil is great - tons of equipment by hotel standards, and a video screen that ties into the Peloton system for video workouts. I've never seen that in a hotel gym before. Great perk. ROOMS Excellent, even at the basic level. I had a king with no specially reserved view, and my room looked out upon Snow King. The bathroom is huge with a giant shower. Everything is appointed elegantly with a mountain theme, of course. Plenty of charging options for electronics, and a decent area for luggage and clothes. The fireplace is a cool feature for each room, but as others have noted, I only turned it on once, as it immediately baked the room into the high 70s within a few minutes and I had to open windows as this was unexpected. There's not much of a point to such a nice room amenity if you truly can't use it. Overall, this is a tremendous property and expect to pay for it handsomely during the ski season (and I imagine every other season as well). I used Bonvoy points for my stay but you could easily see rates at $800/night, which is truly ridiculous, but hey, it's Jackson Hole.

Great Service and Fantastic Bistro

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 3 months ago

Cloudveil is a nice alternative to staying in Teton Village. Its a top tier property with really good service. Front Desk team really were a big help from transportation to parking, very helpful. Rooms were nice, fireplace, top tier bathroom with great water pressure. Instead of a lounge there are snacks and water available on every floor as you come in and out. Nice touch. Be careful of the fireplace, it will heat the room in minutes, we ended up opening the window as the room quickly toped 80 degrees. Bistro attached, but not owned by Marriott is really good. We stopped by before going out and the service and craft drinks superb. Could do with a little better selection of wines by the glass but serviceable. Lounge areas and fireplaces are very chill.

In the heart of town

The Cloudveil is the best hotel in Jackson. The hotel does charge a resort fee, however I am willing to pay it as includes the transportation to and from Jackson Hole mountain resort. The rooms are appointed nicely with awesome beds and showers. My room had a nice fireplace which can make the room very toasty. The lobby is nice and has some great activations to make it inviting. The hot tub and pool are nice. Free parking is available in the town garage and the hotel SUV will pick you up and drop you off.

Sleeping rooms and location great. Other things, not so much.

Sleeping rooms are amazing. The lobby, not so much. They allow the restaurant to take over the lobby and you basically get dirty looks if you sit on the furniture and don’t order a drink. Also, a bunch of staff who just have been off were sitting in the lobby drunk being loud and using profanity while the live music was playing. Also, the cupboards on the floors do not get stocked consistently and were always out of items. Shouldn’t be like this with the destination fee you pay. Location is great!
