Country House Inns Jacksonville

My husband and I just completed a stay at the McCully House, and it was an absolutely fabulous experience from start to finish. We loved this historic inn and our stay truly exceeded all expectations. We really appreciate it when the pictures offered online match what you find when you arrive. Kudos to the hosts and their photographers. First and foremost, the hosts, Kathryn and Phil and their staff, were amazingly gracious and very interesting people. We felt a warm, genuine welcome that made us feel right at home. Their kindness and attention to detail were evident in every interaction and aspect of our stay. The Coffee/Beverage machine (KREA) was wonderful with lots of different selections of fresh ground and brewed coffee. The inn itself is near-perfect . There was a slight problem with our bathtub drain on the first night, so the hosts upgraded our room for the next two nights. The rooms were beautifully decorated and comfortable with amenities that showed the thoughtfulness of the owners. The preservation of historic elements of the house was impressive. The Inn's central location in historic downtown Jacksonville is ideal, with shops and restaurants just a short walk away. We loved the beautiful English-style gardens, which were situated next to their bakery that had the most fabulous offerings. In the evening, there was a cute, relaxing pub on the main floor. We couldn't have asked for a better experience and will definitely be back. For anyone looking for a memorable, relaxing getaway in Jacksonville, we highly recommend the McCully House Inn. Had an amazing experience. Great location, rooms and the entire staff was great! Enjoyed the bakery next store each morning for coffee and a scone. Must stay place!

Extremely charming room, inn, lounge, bakery and town. Recommend C Street Bistro as well. Highly recommend staying there.

The Inn is wonderful. We celebrated our 55th Anniversary and it will always be a special place that we hope to return to many times. The location, the welcome, the staff and room were exceptional.

What a GEM of a place!!! We and another couple booked two rooms to enjoy after a day at Crater Lake. The house is beautiful, and the room accommodations SO, SO comfortable. As others have mentioned the house is on the main street (E. California St.) and you are a short walk from breakfast, lunch, or dinner, along with other fun local shops. Kathryn, the proprietor met us upon arrival, provided some history of the inn and showed us to our wonderfully furnished and modern rooms. We had a very nice stay and will certainly stay here again when we next visit Jacksonville.
