An oasis in the historic walled city of Jaipur, Samode Haveli is a traditional Indian mansion set in a glorious garden with apartments arranged around a series of courtyards. Built 175 years ago as a residence of the rulers of Samode, it is still occupied by their descendants, who have converted their home into a luxury hotel. Bedrooms are hidden all about the rambling building and are astonishingly decorative, covered in twinkling mirror work, with ornate paintings, tiny alcoves and soaring arches. Rooms have large beds and most have private terraces. The restaurant features a spectacular hand-painted dining hall which provides a special setting for dinner, and offers a choice of Indian food or delicious Asian and European meals. Guests can also take advantage of the hotel's spa, with sauna and steam room facilities, and a range of luxurious massage therapies offered by expert professionals.

Very memorable stay with my mother. Beautiful heritage haveli converted to hotel. Warm ambience, staff is polite, Beautiful interiors, breakfast was reasonably good but may be not different from most buffet breakfast. There was a sense of calm, peace and stillness that I wanted with my hotel stay. The only issue was there are stairs and my mom had knee pain issues however staff was very helpful and provided alternative ways and even offered us a room on ground floor and that they could arrange breakfast for my mother in room. I think its one of its kind and if you wish to avoid a typical touristy big hotel chain and instead wish for some peaceful heritage experience then the stay at Samode Haveli is worth it. I particularly thank Simran and Manager who took interest in looking after my concerns during the stay.

We (family of 4 - 2 adults and 2 teens) spent 3 nights at the hotel and had wonderful stay. The property is stunning and very unique. We had two interconnecting Haveli Suite rooms which were huge and beautifully decorated. The restaurant is very good and all the staff were very friendly. Special thanks to Simran for her warm welcome and helpful nature. We also enjoyed using the pool and enjoying sundowners at the rooftop bar. I would definitely recommend this hotel.

The Samode Haveli is the most beautiful hotel, and the staff are fantastic. I was given a very warm welcome (and a G&T) in the magnificent reception room, and shown to my room, which was fabulous - large, airy, huge bathroom. I discovered the rooftop bar (open for a short period in the evening - well worth the wander through the slightly confusing web of corridors to find it!). The evening food in the restaurant was superb, and the two musicians played soft Indian music throughout the night. I also needed to see a doctor during my stay, and the reception staff were really efficient in calling him, and he prescribed medication there and then. I’d like to give a mention to front of house Simran, who was especially helpful, and kept checking that I was ok. I cannot recommend this hotel strongly enough for a stay in Jaipur - for solo travelers, couples and families.

Wonderful experience. Staying at an actual castle/haveli gives a nice insight into the royal lifestyle of ancient India. Friendly staff. Extremely clean facilities. Breakfast buffet was a good blend of south and North Indian food. Of course you have your choice of western food

The Samode Haveli is a charming, characterful hotel. It is in an old building so there are lots of steps everywhere, but this is part of it character. We particularly liked the courtyard gardens, and the restaurant was delightful. We also appreciated the on-site shops, especially Deepika Arts - Praveen Kumar is a very accomplished artist.
