About the Hotel
An oasis in the historic walled city of Jaipur, Samode Haveli is a traditional Indian mansion set in a glorious garden with apartments arranged around a series of courtyards. Built 175 years ago as a residence of the rulers of Samode, it is still occupied by their descendants, who have converted their home into a luxury hotel. Bedrooms are hidden all about the rambling building and are astonishingly decorative, covered in twinkling mirror work, with ornate paintings, tiny alcoves and soaring arches. Rooms have large beds and most have private terraces. The restaurant features a spectacular hand-painted dining hall which provides a special setting for dinner, and offers a choice of Indian food or delicious Asian and European meals. Guests can also take advantage of the hotel's spa, with sauna and steam room facilities, and a range of luxurious massage therapies offered by expert professionals.

A great place to sit and relax, the rooftop sundowner watching Jaipur fly their kites is a must.
We really enjoyed our stay in Jaipur and this hotel offered a lovely place to return to after a day of exploring. Near a lot of the sites it was easy to move around the city. Venturing out by foot is a little more of a leap of faith but we were only met with friendly smiles and waves. It gets very hot so take water and a hat, once near the main streets there are plenty of places to buy drinks. The hotel itself is modern and very nice. Our rooms were excellent. The pool area is ideal to relax in as is the central courtyard. The restaurant has some great food options, sitting under the tree does offer a few inconveniences especially if the local monkeys are having fun! The hotel created a grand viewing room for the cricket which was much appreciated…7 runs short!! This historic hotel is a gem.

A living piece of Indian history
We asked for a boutique heritage hotel and the Samode Haveli delivered and more. The historic rooms with old paintings and photos, the atmospheric courtyards and corridors, the lovely open air bar, roof terrace, grounds and pool, what's not to like. I don't understand why the Tripadvisor rating isn't higher, maybe it's just "undiscovered".

Special property
This is a special place, very beautiful. Friendly staff and good Location. Very safe and secure too. Pushpen at the frontdesk, waiting staff at restaurant, security guard, cleaning staff all were polite and helpful. I would recommend this property for couples that want a special luxurious stay.
