Gran Melia Jakarta

My over-two-week business stay at Gran Meliá Jakarta was nothing short of exceptional, and I cannot praise the team enough for making my trip to Jakarta truly memorable. Right from the moment I stepped into the lobby, I was greeted with a warm and sincere welcome at the reception desk. A special thank-you goes to Rebecca, who was incredibly kind, friendly, and consistently helpful throughout my stay—she went above and beyond, offering useful tips that made my time in the city so much easier and more enjoyable. I would also like to express my appreciation to the rest of the outstanding front-desk team: Tyas, Cathy, Aisyah, Jonathan, and Ayu. Every single day, they were there with a smile, always ready to assist, and were consistently supportive during my entire business trip. Breakfast at the hotel was a daily highlight—delicious, generous, and offering an impressive variety of cuisines. From international classics to local specialties, the selection was fantastic. And of course, I’ll never forget the one-in-a-lifetime “traumatic shots” experience that added a fun and unforgettable twist to my mornings! I also had the pleasure of dining at Yoshi, the hotel’s incredible Japanese restaurant. The food was outstanding—fresh, refined, and beautifully prepared. A must-try for anyone staying here. The gym staff deserve huge recognition as well. They were always welcoming and attentive, and the facility itself was excellent—clean, well-equipped, and perfect for maintaining a routine during a long business trip. The swimming pool and staff were also great, offering a relaxing escape after busy workdays. My room was perfect: always spotless, extremely comfortable, and thoughtfully maintained. Returning each evening to tasty little treats like chocolate and biscuits was a delightful touch that made the stay feel personal and luxurious. A big thank-you to everyone at Gran Meliá Jakarta!

Great service from the fabulous team here including Agnes, Rebecca, Rusli, Dewa and Jonathan. This is a well established hotel, with a super swimming pool and fully equipped gym. It may not have the flashness of the newer kids on the Jakarta block, but if you want service, this is the place to come. Particular thanks go to the front of house team who provided me with a cool towel and much needed drink after I opted to walk back from the Mall owing to the crazy Jakarta traffic threatened to get me way after my (already extended - thank you :)) check out. I will be booking with Melia again for my next trip.

Every time I visit Jakarta, this hotel is always my first choice. After staying here many times, it genuinely feels like my home away from home. The hotel itself is wonderful clean, spacious, and in a very convenient location. But what truly makes this place exceptional is the people. The team here consistently delivers outstanding service. They are warm, professional, and incredibly. I would especially like to recognize the amazing team members who always make my stay memorable: Alfon, Belva, Doni, Resta, and Ratu Thank you for your kindness, professionalism, and genuine hospitality. You are the reason I keep coming back. Highly recommended, and I look forward to my next stay.

Doni at the Red Level lounge is a legend. Look for him and he will take care of you. Basically a great stay at Gran Melia!
