I returned to the Grand Hyatt Jakarta after 13 years for one very particular reason and because of one person whom I knew could consistently deliver the level of service I expected: Ms. Steffi, Director of Rooms. As a frequent traveler with an often unpredictable schedule, my arrival plans can change constantly, sometimes at very short notice. Ms. Steffi has always gone above and beyond to accommodate my needs and these last-minute changes with remarkable professionalism, patience, and efficiency. Her expertise in handling every detail, her ability to anticipate a guest’s needs, and the effortless way she manages even complicated requests are exceptional. In my experience traveling and staying with luxury hotel brands around the world, her standard of service truly stands out. Luxury hospitality is ultimately not only about beautiful rooms or impressive facilities—it is about the people who make a guest feel understood, welcomed, and genuinely looked after. Ms. Steffi is one of those rare hospitality professionals who makes the difference. She is an extraordinary asset to the Grand Hyatt Jakarta and an excellent example of what true five-star hospitality should be.

We had a wonderful stay at Grand Hyatt Jakarta as a family if 5. The location is unbeatable, right in the heart of Jakarta and connected to Plaza Indonesia, with plenty of shopping and dining options nearby. Our room was beautifully decorated and furnished, with a perfect mix of elegance and comfort. The luxurious room amenities, quality furnishings and thoughtful details made the room feel truly comfortable and well-appointed. We especially loved the thematic connecting rooms with slides (we got the explorer room) as it adds such a fun and thoughtful touch for families. My youngest absolutely loved having his own space! Breakfast had a huge variety of food, from Indonesian and Asian dishes to international favorites, pastries, fruits and made-to-order options. The selection was excellent, although breakfast could get quite hectic during peak hours and a few ordered dishes were occasionally mixed up or sent to the wrong table. We also had dinner at Sumire, the hotel's Japanese restaurant, and it was very good. The food was delicious, beautifully presented and the overall dining experience was excellent. Service was also very good, with friendly, attentive and helpful staff throughout our stay. Overall, Grand Hyatt Jakarta is a great choice for a family stay, combining an unbeatable location and wonderful hospitality. We would definitely come back!

Grand Hyatt Jakarta is an absolutely excellent property. The hotel is beautiful, clean, and perfectly located. What truly sets it apart is the incredibly courteous and attentive staff who make you feel welcome from the moment you arrive. Highly recommended!

I had the dinner and breakfast buffet at Grand Café, Grand Hyatt, and unfortunately, the experience was quite disappointing. The food selection was rather limited, with very little variety compared to what I expected from a five-star hotel. The taste and overall quality of the food were also not particularly impressive. Considering the reputation and standard of Grand Hyatt, I expected a much wider selection, better quality, and a more enjoyable dining experience. I sincerely hope the buffet variety and food quality can be improved.

Our stay at Grand Hyatt Jakarta last weekend was nothing short of exceptional. From the moment we arrived, we were greeted with warmth, genuine hospitality and a level of attentiveness that made us feel truly welcomed and very well cared for throughout our entire stay. From the welcoming bellman and attentive security team at the entrance to every member of staff we encountered throughout the hotel, everyone was friendly, professional and genuinely eager to help. Their warmth, professionalism and attention to detail created an outstanding first impression and set the tone for what became a truly memorable stay. Our room was beautifully designed, spacious, comfortable and thoughtfully laid out. A special thank you to Fitri, who took such wonderful care of our room. She even surprised us by arranging a lovely “Towel Doll”, which was such a delightful and unexpected personal touch. It is these small gestures that make a stay feel truly special. The hotel facilities were excellent, and the lovely pool was a particular highlight — peaceful, relaxing and the perfect place to unwind. After experiencing Jakarta’s famous traffic, it was refreshing to find somewhere where the only thing moving slowly was us! The Grand Club Lounge was another standout part of our stay. The food selection was excellent, offering plenty of variety while maintaining consistently high quality. We would especially like to recognise Omar, Rona and Erma for their outstanding service. They were warm, attentive and incredibly thoughtful without ever being intrusive. Their genuine hospitality made every visit to the lounge feel personal, comfortable and welcoming. They are a wonderful reflection of the service culture at Grand Hyatt Jakarta. Breakfast was another highlight. We thoroughly enjoyed discovering the extensive selection of Indonesian favorites alongside the international offerings each morning. A special thank you to Chef Babu, Chef Andi, Chef Davi, Davis, Indra and Wenny for their warm and attentive hospitality throughout our stay. What impressed us most was how thoughtfully they remembered our preferences and went the extra mile to arrange for some of our favorite items to be served each morning. That level of personal attention made breakfast feel less like simply having a meal and more like being genuinely looked after. It was a wonderful touch that made each morning feel special and memorable. We also had the pleasure of meeting Steffi, the Director of Rooms, who was exceptionally friendly, approachable and helpful. It was clear that she takes great pride in creating a welcoming environment for guests. Her warmth and genuine engagement added another personal touch to an already outstanding experience. What stood out most about Grand Hyatt Jakarta was not simply the beautiful facilities, excellent dining or comfortable rooms — it was the people. The team consistently went above and beyond to make us feel welcomed, valued and genuinely cared for. Their warmth, attentiveness and sincere hospitality made even the smallest interactions feel personal and effortless. There are many hotels with beautiful rooms and impressive facilities, but it is the people who ultimately determine whether a stay is simply enjoyable or truly memorable. Grand Hyatt Jakarta gets this exactly right. We left feeling relaxed, very well fed and exceptionally well looked after. Most importantly, we left with wonderful memories and a genuine appreciation for the incredible team who made our stay so special. A heartfelt thank you to everyone at Grand Hyatt Jakarta for making our visit such a memorable one. We are already looking forward to returning — hopefully next time with the whole family and for a much longer stay!
