Mandarin Oriental, Jakarta

We had a wonderful and memorable stay at Mandarin Oriental, Jakarta, especially as we were celebrating a special occasion. A very special thank you to Sherly, Tami, Vollyn, and Angel, who personally put so much time, effort, and thought into preparing the beautiful decorations in our room. The surprise was absolutely lovely, and we could genuinely feel the care and effort that went into making the room special for us. It made our celebration even more meaningful. ❤️ There was also a little incident during our stay when our daughter unfortunately fell on the steps in the lobby during our check-in night. The staff on duty immediately assisted us and showed great concern for our daughter. I sincerely apologize that I did not get the staff member’s name, but I would like to extend my personal thanks to them. What touched us most was the continued care afterward. The team checked on our daughter regularly, coordinated with the medical team to make sure she was alright, and even provided ice for her forehead. As parents, this genuine concern and follow-up meant a lot to us and made us feel that our family was truly being looked after. Thank you to everyone at Mandarin Oriental, Jakarta, for the wonderful hospitality, thoughtful service, and genuine care throughout our stay. The little details and kindness from the team made a big difference. We truly appreciated our experience and would be very happy to return again. Highly recommended! ✨❤️

Our family (my mom, dad, my wife, and myself) stayed at Mandarin Oriental Jakarta from 6–11 August to celebrate several special occasions — my birthday, my mom’s birthday, and my parents’ wedding anniversary. What the team created for us went far beyond a hotel stay; it became a set of memories my parents will hold close for years to come.From the moment we arrived, the warmth of the Guest Relations team made us feel genuinely cared for. Sherly welcomed us with sincerity and joy — guiding us to the room, helping us capture photos, and making sure every detail felt personal. Her kindness set the tone for our entire stay.We also want to express our appreciation to Tami, Vollyn, and Angel, who each added their own warmth and attentiveness throughout our visit. Every interaction felt sincere and heartfelt.Beyond Guest Relations, the security team and porters were consistently welcoming and respectful, always greeting us with a smile and making us feel safe and at home. Their professionalism and warmth were felt every single day.A special mention goes to the breakfast dessert‑section staff member, who was working on the 7th and 10th during our stay. Her friendliness, enthusiasm, and genuine joy in serving guests made our mornings memorable. The way she engaged with my parents and made them feel celebrated added an unexpected sweetness to our trip — a small gesture that meant a lot to us as a family. The decorations prepared for our celebrations were beautiful and full of heart. My mom was genuinely moved, and seeing her smile throughout the trip is something I will never forget. My parents’ anniversary surprise was handled with such care that it felt like the team was celebrating alongside us.Mandarin Oriental Jakarta has always been special to us, but this visit was truly exceptional. With the level of warmth, sincerity, and genuine hospitality shown by every department — Guest Relations, security, porters, and the culinary team — it is very hard to even consider staying anywhere else when we visit Jakarta again.Thank you for making our family’s celebrations unforgettable. We left with full hearts, and we look forward to returning.

If you haven't stayed at Jakarta Mandarin Oriental, then you ought to! It is a beautiful modern hotel that's centrally located right in the heart of shopping malls. My wife and I loved our stay. Right from check-in, we were greeted by such warm and friendly staff - definitely represents the MO brand! Special call out to Angel & Tami, they were super helpful and made our stay extremely pleasant. Thank you!

I had a wonderful recent stay and the hotel is fantastic . It's in a great location with fabulous facilities such as the roof top pool overlooking the city . The rooms are spacious and luxurious with everything you'd expect and require. Breakfast Buffett with plenty of tasty options to set you up nicely for the day . The staff are so warm and welcoming, the service they provide is world class and they are there to help you with anything during your stay . All staff are great but I'd like to make a special mention to the front desk . Kelly and Dilla checked me in and out, their service was exceptional and so kind and caring . They helped me greatly with restaurant and travel tips making my short time there memorable and relaxed . They are both a credit to the team at the mandarin Oriental. Thank you again and I highly recommend a stay here .

Excellent Indonesian food, especially at its regular Rame-Rame buffet on Fridays. Thanks to Levan (for introducing me to Bandung Bakso with wagyu meatball), Kurnia (for highlighting their excellent bake shop croissant), Joshua, Chef Wildan, Nikki. Thanks also to Concierge Grace who gave wonderful tips for batik shopping and Dilla at reception. Stay-wise, I knew it was not at the same level as MO Bangkok or Hongkong. But what I encountered was certainly not on brand for any level of MO. The negatives: - dark, dull room (looked worse in reality than on the MO website). - peeling wall paper at the 20th level corridor. - at Cinnamon restaurant, torn and cracked upholstery as well as chipped and cracked crockery. - the welcome fruit tray for this MO member consisted of only 2 apples, no decor, no drink, no note.
