Got last minute tickets to see Kylie Minogue in Guadalajara and drove over from Puerto Vallarta, which is easy on the finally-finished tollroad. The NH is in a nice part of Guadalajara/Zapopan, with restaurants all around. Very secure and quiet at night. The hotel staff is lovely, especially the front desk. We will return.

The hotel is located in an excellent area with easy access to a wide variety of restaurants. However, this was my third stay and I continue to notice that the towels have not been replaced—they remain in very poor condition, frayed and heavily worn in some cases. Another issue is customer service, which does not seem to be a priority for the staff. I accidentally left a small metal thermos in my room, and despite sending an email and calling both housekeeping and the front desk, I never received any response. I truly hope the management will focus on improving customer service and replacing the old towels with new ones.

My husband and I recently stayed here while on a couples getaway in Guadalajara. This hotel was such a disappointment compared to the Hyatt where we normally stay. The towels were stained and threadbare. I literally wouldn’t keep a towel in my house that looked like these. Absolutely unacceptable for a hotel to have old towels coming apart at the seams. We left a substantial tip for our maid on the first morning and our towels weren’t even replaced. She left our one wet, stained face cloth beside our sink and didn’t leave any clean ones. Shake my head. We requested extra water for our room as you can’t drink the tap water or use it for brushing your teeth. The front desk clerk told us we are only allowed two bottles of water a day. Why are they rationing water in a place where the tap water is not drinkable? Our only option was to pay for water provided by room service. Do not stay here. There are MANY other options in GDL where the management is not afraid of going broke by buying new towels or allowing their guests to safely quench their thirst.

The hotel and my room were very nice, and the area was excellent. The hotel is in a mall so there's shopping literally right out the front door. At night the area was really happening because of all the excellent restaurants right out the front door. Also the neighborhood seemed very safe and I walked around without any feelings of being unsafe. I won't hesitate to stay here again.

We had an overall pretty good experience at NH Collection. The surrounding location was excellent, and the amenities were top-tier. They also upgraded our room because of our reservation through American Express Platinum Concierge. That said, a few things could have been improved upon. They gave us a $100 room credit that couldn't be applied to the laundry that we had done -- wish that was explained to us beforehand that they used an outside vendor. Additionally, we may have seen an attempt to come into our room despite the DND sign on -- right now, I'm trying to resolve this with the hotel but they haven't gotten back to me. Please reach out to me here, as I'd like to give the experience 5 stars, and don't want it to go any lower than 4, but we do expect a response and investigation through security footage. I've reached out to Miguel Oliveras (the manager), as well as nhcollectionguadalajara@nh-hotels.com, to no avail. Thank you, Calvin
