This was the worst experience and dinner we have ever had. That is saying a lot as we have had many dinners out over the years. The food was terrible. The service was terrible although our waitress, who took care of the whole restaurant, was sweet and tried her best but all fell short. She decanted our wine but never came to pour it. What we wanted from the menu they hadn't finished making tonight so it wasn't available. The appetizers were just ok. We noticed the other tables all got bread. We finally asked and got some after our appetizers. Our dinners were awful. We ordered steaks- one med. rare and one medium. They came very rare and rare. I hate to send anything back and never do but these were inedible . We had to send them back but the further problem was that our poor waitress, who was taking care of the whole restaurant was busy. We sat and sat. Finally got it sent back and when it was returned to us, it was tough. Not tender. Supposed to be steak au poivre. No poivre was tasted. We were very nice to her and when she asked if we wanted her to take them off the bill, we said no. We paid for our dinner but are so disappointed. This is a beautiful place to go but the food and service was so poor that we will sadly not return.

Found this interesting historical Inn just off a side road in Jamesport. The place was intriguing with its past and present stories. The atmosphere was comfortable and inviting -as were the staff - especially Kelly & Abigail who served with smiles and were eager to give tours of the mansion and grounds. The food was delicious by a gourmet chef - and the rooms were spacious and clean. Definitely recommend for a dinner or weekend brunch - but put in your reservation as this place attracts the weddings and special catering occasions!

my fiance and i got married at jedediah hawkins in this past saturday, 9/24/22. It was the most magical, special day of our lives all thank to Jedediah. Lia the owner is excellent work with- she is responsive and makes you feel at ease during wedding planning. Every single one of my guests RAVED that the food was the best food they have ever had at any wedding, and i completely agree. the grounds are the most gorgeous- we took photos in the barn, in front of the inn and gazebo. it was picturesq. If you have a smaller wedding- less than 125- i HIGHLY recommend having it here. it was the perfect rustic north fork vibe we wanted. thank you to everyone at jedediah for making our day the best ever.

We totally enjoyed our two day mid-week special in the Cider Room. Breakfast was included each morning and was absolutely delicious! Dinner was amazing! During our stay we visited the local area but looked forward to returning and relaxing at the Inn in the gazebo and later at night at the Speak Easy. What made our trip even more enjoyable was the exceptional staff - Manager Elias (very accommodating and a great sense of humor), Chef Colin, Eugenia and Chris.

This Inn and restaurant are an essential stop while visiting Long Island. Located in the picturesque North Fork wine area, this historic building has been tastefully renovated, offering modern amenities while retaining its’ historic charm. On our second visit in two years, we were again delighted with the beautiful accommodations. The staff members go out of their way to the ensure that every guest feels special and welcomed. They answer any question and will call ahead for reservations or readily provide any requested information. The included breakfast each morning is home baked and delicious, even offering a choice of entrees. Be sure to dine in the restaurant during your stay, one of the best culinary experiences in the North Fork area. Stroll the carefully maintained grounds after dinner and enjoy a cocktail in the restored speakeasy. There is even a beautiful wedding venue! What a unique and memorable Inn- don’t miss it!!
