The resort is perfect in its intimate size and the staff are the best—always super friendly and helpful. That’s why it was our 14th time returning there—it’s like our second home, and the staff are like family. We love them all..! And, of course, one of the most beautiful beaches on the planet..!

We just returned from an incredible eight-day stay at Melia Cayo Santa Maria, and it truly exceeded our expectations. My wife and I were simply looking for a relaxing getaway with a beautiful beach — white sand, clear blue water, and peaceful mornings — and that’s exactly what we found in Cayo Santa Maria. The beach here is absolutely stunning, and every morning felt like a postcard. Breakfast offered all the classics: bacon, eggs, toast, cereal, and great coffee. Lunch quickly became one of our favorite parts of the day with fresh pizza made right in front of you, hamburgers, hot dogs, and plenty of other options. Supper was just as enjoyable — chicken, pork, fresh fried fish, octopus, and my wife’s favorite spaghetti, all prepared fresh. We were never hungry during our stay at Melia Cayo Santa Maria. The staff were incredibly friendly and consistent with their service. Whether you tipped or not, you were treated the same. There was always someone happy to bring drinks to our chairs at the pool or on the beach, which made it easy to fully relax. No need to reserve chairs — there were always plenty available both at the pool and along the ocean. There was music at the beach and pool, along with some light activities, but nothing too loud or overwhelming. The front desk was always helpful, and there’s even a small market on-site and a playground for children. If you’re looking for a relaxing, safe resort in Cayo Santa Maria with an incredible beach, Melia Cayo Santa Maria was a great choice for us. We would absolutely return. It was very sad to experience the stay this year. I invited 2 couples with us this time and they were horrified about the food and sanitary conditions. Felt so bad that I had to apologize each day, instead of enjoying our time. One person: Yamile was the only one who tried to help, but she could not change our experience.

We went to this resort. It's so nice. All the staff members are good and friendly. Hotel staff and restaurant people provided very good service. Every night they have different shows and its really amazing. During the day they have different activities at Pool and Beach.
