Sadly, I resort to writing a bad review after almost two months of negligence by the “ladies and gentlemen” of The Ritz Carlton Jeddah. Our stay was disappointing since we live near Jeddah and could not travel so we thought to have a local getaway for a weekend. After breakfast we went to the spa to find out that it only offers services for men which is not mentioned on their website. You would make a booking only to be disappointed upon arrival that if you are a female, you get no service (not the case with other local 5-star hotels; example The Hyatt). Also, there were no staff present for the Ritz Kids club; we have more entertainment staying home. As expats living locally, we had no option but to stay in the room with a toddler, since malls open after 1 pm on Fridays. The reception informed us that if we cancel before noon, we will get a refund for the remaining length of our stay. Almost two months later and no refund has been issued. Emails are ignored and yesterday I called the hotel for follow-up after visiting in person 3 weeks ago to inquire. I informed them please reply as I do not wish to write a bad review. Nothing but a one liner of your request is with finance. When I visited in person to inquire, they informed me no refund unless I submit a pdf from the bank app with an IBAN. I told them why you are not telling me so by email! From no refund on credit card to no refund without a pdf... to no response from them it is almost two months of wait time. The wait staff at the restaurant were hardly attentive. No fresh cutlery was provided during breakfast for dessert/pudding, and I had to chase the waiter who was having a chat with the egg station chef for tea. Sadly, the current staff, except for Mr. Ibrahim Rashid (who gave me a tour of the building) is negligent and have a careless attitude. Overall, a poor experience.

Absolutely delightful stay. Rooms a bit dated, but lovely nevertheless. Ibrahim at the front desk is super attentive and the whole Concierge staff is just great! Breakfast is a great event and you should definitely partake. Expectations met and surpassed.

Wonderful service from Mr. Waleed Alahmadi the duty manager who offered to take me on a tour of the hotel. The facilities of the hotel are very impressive, especially a very opulent opera theatre type hall. Apparently they are planning to construct a swimming pool too. I mentioned to waleed that I didn’t bring my swim suit and he was kind enough to arrange one for me as a gift. I was also given a token for free desert at the Japanese pop restaurant (Akira?) which had amazing shrimps. It is the people that make a five star hotel a five star. It’s not just the hotel itself and the facilities. I truly felt as if Waleed and his colleagues went above and beyond to surpass expectations. Thank you very much Waleed and wonderful Ritz Carlton Jeddah staff.

Didn’t like this hotel at all sadly. I didn’t think it looked particularly great online, but it turns out it looks better online than in person. Very sterile over-the-top / garish decor. Didn’t like my room (1513), and found dinner at their restaurant very disappointing (buffet - always a bad sign). The only thing that’s somewhat reasonable is the price ($290/night), but I quickly discovered they rob you blind in other ways - they quoted me $100 for a 20 min drive in a hotel car, which is outrageous. I think they offered me one ride free after I complained which is the only reason I didn’t rate it one star, but the damage was done and they’d already robbed me on the airport transfer at that point. The staff seem nice, but that’s really the only compliment I can give. I stopped by the Shangri-La for dinner, and that seems a much better option.

Luxurious hotel near Red Sea , enjoyed my stay at the Ritz Carlton . The hotel is pure luxury .. every corner of the hotel is tastefully done . Rooms are spacious and comfortable. Felt like staying in a palace . Resturant serves excellent food pricey but worth it . Highly recommend if you want to stay in a palace hotel .
