Very disappointing experience – not Ritz-Carlton standards
My recent stay at the Ritz-Carlton Jeddah was extremely disappointing and fell well below what I expect from a hotel of this caliber. The biggest issue was the gym access, which was completely restricted without any prior notice. The fitness center was made exclusive to a visiting professional soccer team’s delegates from 5:00 to 9:30 AM, blocking access for all other guests during the entire morning. Since breakfast is only served from 6:30 to 11:00 AM, this left just about 1.5 hours total to both exercise and eat, which is completely unreasonable—especially for guests who plan their routines around hotel amenities. Equally frustrating was the slow and disorganized breakfast service. Basic requests such as a cup of tea took an excessive amount of time, staff appeared overwhelmed, and there was a general lack of attentiveness that does not align with Ritz-Carlton service standards. To make matters worse, there was no bellman assistance available for checking out. I waited 15 minutes then I ultimately had to carry my own suitcases, something I never expected to do at a luxury hotel. Between the lack of communication, poor service, and missing fundamentals of hospitality, this stay did not reflect the Ritz-Carlton brand at all. Transparency, staffing, and guest consideration need serious improvement.

Amazing ambience
I’ve been to many hotels worldwide, but this one stands out like no other. Stunning rooms and views overlooking the harbour. Overwhelming appearance once you enter the lobby! Very friendly hotel staff trying very hard to make you feel welcome and at home. Last but not least, the food was delicious.

The service was outstanding, with great attention to detail throughout the stay. I would like to sincerely thank all the staff, especially Abdulaziz Flamban, for his exceptional support, kindness, and excellent service, which truly made our stay more comfortable and memorable.
