Lovely hotel about 12 mins from the bus station. Staff were very helpful, room was comfortable with a large bathroom. My sisters and I shared a room so three single beds. Great to have the pool and sun loungers in the hot weather. I think the staff could have done a better job selling the facilities at the hotel as we did not pop into the spa until we were leaving and they have a lovely big pool.

We enjoyed our stay at the Club Hotel & Spa, the staff we very welcoming and helpful, we found the hotel and spa very clean. The rooms were clean, the only thing we did fund were the pillows and duvet in our room could do with renewing. But we would definitely stay again,

Ok here are the good points. Staff are very helpful and professional. The breakfasts are excellent. The location is very good. The Spa is very nice. Now the bad points. The rooms do not warrant a 5 star rating. The air conditioning was abysmal which meant we spent most nights very hot and uncomfortable. We did ask for them to look at it but they said this was the best it could do. They gave us a fan but let’s be honest a 5 star hotel should have a working Aircon. The sheets and pillow cases were not changed all week! The room was serviced after 13:00 every day which meant if you returned after using the pool or a walk you had to wait to use the shower with clean towels. The price of drinks are high, £15 for a G&T in a hotel that is at best 4 star hotel is high.

Had a very relaxing stay at The Club for seven days. Although we arrived too early to go straight to our room, reception held our luggage while we enjoyed a light lunch (delicious Club sandwich) in the terrace bar/cafe. When we went to our room our luggage was already there for us. Our room was on floor 3, and was a standard room. However, there as plenty of space, a very large feather bed, and bath/shower room with good quality toiletries supplied. The room looked out over the outdoor pool and patio area, but the general view was of local buildings (not particularly close, but remember this hotel is very close to centre of town). The outdoor pool area is quite small, and was pretty much full on a couple of occasions, but there are nice quality sun-beds and sun umbrellas provided. Breakfast is available on the 1st floor (same as reception), with a vast selection of quality produce available. Staff were friendly (but not over familiar) and service was well done and efficient. The hotel appears well maintained, and rooms serviced daily with fresh bed and bathroom linens. Would definitely recommend this hotel, but would advise booking directly as the full breakfast is included when booking direct but is additional cost if booking through the comparison sites.

Negatives first then positives. Negatives: Rooms at the front of the hotel have a lot of traffic noise even though we were on floor 3. View of public toilets, graveyard and multistory car park. I had asked for a room with a bit of a view as it was our 45th wedding anniversary, and was told there aren't any. Rooms at the back overlook the pretty pool area! No bathrobes as listed A large glass jar had 2 tiny madeleine cakes in on arrival, none after that. Cooked breakfast first day had stone cold mushrooms and poached eggs. So chose other on other days. Day 3 cooked elements took over half an hour to arrive( not especially busy either) Coffee and milk refill was missed on day 2. Intrusive music levels everywhere in hotel public rooms and restaurants. Doesn't feel like 5 star hotel, more like a middling 4.( we have stayed in many hotels) On arrival,50.00 was deducted from my debit card. We had paid in full for the stay prior to arrival. I have never had that before, card details taken so if we ran up a bar bill etc or left without paying, they could claim back. I was told I'd get it back on departure. Nope,up to 7 working days. Pool in spa accessible via very steep narrow staircase only Positives Staff are attentive with the odd exception. Restaurant staff, are all very very good indeed ,food delicious and fresh local ingredients. Restaurant has the Michelin star restaurant off it. Decorated beautifully and tables in both restaurants not crammed together . Good range of choices. Pool area outside is lovely Pool in spa area equally lovely with a jacuzzi bench in it. Salt cave sauna looked nice but I didn't use it. Bed was very comfortable with lovely bedding Bathroom very well set up,marble tops tiles etc. Decent shower over bath. Only a shirt walk to King's Street and Queens Street, shops, cafes, etc. Liberation Square also not far. All in all the stay was pleasant but wouldn't rush back

We knew your reputation was excellent, but we didn't realise how exceptional the service would be. Friendly and informative, everyone was great and went "the extra mile" to make our stay perfect.

Excellent experience! We stay in hotels on a monthly basis all around the UK and the world and not many match the experience of the Club & Spa! Staff service is excellent, cannot fault it. Well done, we wish more hotels were like you!
