About the Hotel

Originally designed by Moshe Safdie, winner of the AIA Gold Medal, the David Citadel's well-planned public spaces and 385 luxuriously appointed rooms and suites have recently received a facelift by renowned Italian designer Piero Lissoni who introduced the warm atmosphere of Jerusalem through natural lighting, traditional colors and rich artworks painted by David Roberts during his 1834 Grand Tour. Lissoni's vision included oak parquet flooring, abundant greenery, soft lights and textured fabrics in a palette of rich colors that welcome guests today.

Amazing experience at the Citadel
Our stay in the Citadel was above and beyond! It was truly amazing how the staff took great care of us. They were always available for whatever we needed. We will definitely be coming back!

More than just hospitality
We stayed at the Citadel not long ago, and it turned into an experience I’ll never forget. During our weekend stay, I accidentally spilled my baby’s formula on Saturday. I was stressed and unsure what to do, then Yazan at the front desk stepped in like a real lifesaver. Without hesitation, he went to a nearby pharmacy and bought the formula himself, even paying out of his own pocket. That kind of kindness is something you don’t see every day. It wasn’t just great service, it was genuine care and compassion. I’ll always be grateful to Yazan and the amazing staff at the Citadel for going above and beyond for us.

Amazing! Luxurious stay
My stay at the David Citadel hotel was amazing! The room was clean, and very spacious, and designed beautifully The pool is amazing and the view of the old city is great The food was really great, and a lot of options in the meals. The staff is very kinda, I got help from room service named ‘Alma’ and she was so great!
