Disappointing experience from a hotel we expected much more from We stayed at the Inbal for two nights with our 3-year-old and unfortunately left very disappointed. We received dirty, badly smelling pool towels, the loungers were visibly dirty, and the spa was not clean either. At 8 AM we were woken by staff shouting in the hallway, and later housekeeping staff were speaking loudly and swearing in the corridor. When we mentioned the towels, we were told that around 500 people had used the pool that day. We understand that hotels get busy, but guests paying the regular rate should not receive a lower standard simply because the hotel is at high capacity. What disappointed us most was the response when we raised these issues with management. Instead of really listening to our experience, the manager repeatedly asked, “What would you like me to do to improve your stay?” and pointed out that ours was the first complaint she had received that day. We weren’t looking for freebies or special treatment. We simply expected someone to listen, acknowledge what had happened, and take ownership of the situation. Mistakes happen. What matters is how a hotel responds when given the opportunity to make things right. Unfortunately, we left feeling that opportunity was missed. We genuinely wanted to love the Inbal and become returning guests. It’s a shame this was the experience we took home instead.
