What a delightful and truly unforgettable stay at Raffles Bali to celebrate our milestone wedding anniversary with family. It was a magical experience from the first moment we were picked up in the Raffles car. The location is excellent and the sunsets are spectacular The stunning beach is beautiful and most importantly, it's very private. The villas are elegant and timeless. The bath and outdoor shower are both cleverly positioned to capture the view over the ocean (which isn't always the case in other hotel villas) The food was wonderful in both restaurants and breakfast was a highlight every day. The handmade pasta in Rumari was delicious, and the seafood at Loloan was exceptional.- matched only by the view over the ocean. But it's the staff that truly sets Raffles Bali apart. There was thoughtful service with a smile at every interaction, and the staff anticipated (and then remembered!) our every need. I'd like to particularly mention Seva, our Butler, and Imelda in Rumari restaurant. There were levels of service and experiences that we're still talking about, including: - Seva, our butler, brought the bartender to our poolside in our Villa to mix us an 'Old Fashioned' cocktail in real-time so the ice wouldn't melt during the one-minute transport between the bar and the villa...WOW. - The staff remembered that we preferred half sparkling and half still water. - Bringing us so many pillow options so we could choose the perfect one. - Dietary requirements were handled seamlessly and then remembered by all staff at all times, so that we didn't have to repeat it over and over - they all just knew :) A very heartfelt thank you to the entire Raffles team...we couldn't have been in a more romantic environment to create lifelong memories. We can't wait to return.

My wife and I recently enjoyed a 7 night stay here. The staff were fantastic. The food was 'enak sekali'. Villa was well appointed and had a huge bathroom (inc. a Japanese toilet), sitting area and writers desk. 4 person dining table outside, 2 x sun lounges and a cabana beside your private pool that looked out across the ocean and airport runway. Highly recommend the Cave dinner experience and also shelling out the extra dollars for a massage at The Sanctuary rather than in the main day spa. We've stayed at The Raffles Singapore a number of times and enjoyed Raffles Bali equally. Before checking out, we booked a stay at the new Raffles Sentosa Island for July so we didn't feel too sad on departure day, knowing we have another Raffles experience to look forward to soon.

My wife and I just returned from a 4 day/3 night celebration of our 29th anniversary at the Raffles Bali. I was quite blown away by the videos and reviews of this wonderful resort but what we experienced went way above and beyond our expectations. The resort is set into a private hillside in Jimbaran, amidst lush greenery, with its own botanical herb garden, valley with a dried up river bed into which the tide from its private beach flows. The main resort building is perched on the highpoint of the hill and there are 30+ villas scattered about, linked by tortuous paths winding through the hillside, accessible on foot but more importantly, by buggy. The villas are luxurious with fabulous fittings, a gorgeous garden, private pool and both indoor and outdoor showers. Although Bali is hot and humid, not unlike Singapore, there is a lovely hillside breeze, especially in the evening. But if that isn't enough, the villas have great air-conditioning and lovely ceiling fans in the villa, on the veranda and in the poolside gazebo. The fans don't rotate too fast, even at max but they seem to be able to pick up and accentuate the breeze. The kingsize bed was super and the bedding, especially how well the bed is made by Housekeeping, was the best we've experienced. There's a well stocked fridge in each villa with everything but the alcohol complementary ( or rather included in the villa rates). The fridge is well stocked with 3 types of Jamu and the bar has interesting Bali gins. There's even a baby Krug in the fridge ! The private beach is pretty darn amazing at low tide and a walk along the beach at low tide is a must ( don't attempt swimming in the sea at high tide due to the waves and the rocks which reveal themselves only when the tide goes out). The lovely sand patterns with smatterings of black sand, the rocks with its arresting colours due to a combination of the mineral contents of volcanic rock and algae, with the dreamy view of planes landing at regular intervals across the bay, with the grand mountains of Bali "rising like Olympus above the Serengeti" in the distance are simply stunning. Words and pictures will not do the visuals and atmosphere justice. Don't miss out also on the botanical tour with the resident botanist and a chance to look at an unusual beehive with its stingless bees and stingless honey! Special mention must be made of The Secret Cave - looks like a limestone cave - discovered during construction and now used for morning yoga and private dining at night. We had a romantic and special anniversary dinner there on our 2nd night. It was magical. One could go on ad infinitum regarding the beauty and luxury of the resort but what sets Raffles Bali apart from the numerous resorts which my wife and I have been to is the service. Every single staff member whom we encountered was superb, from the wait staff, bartenders, spa therapists, shop attendants and last but not least, the butlers. Everyone knew us by name and knew our personal preferences within the day. They must have an amazing communications network or some sort of telepathy linking them all! They are warm, sincere, gracious, hospitable and generous. Special shout out to Thomson, our butler and wait staff Martino, Bagus, Widya ( I apologise for missing out anyone as I can't recall names as well as I used to). You all went above and beyond the call of duty ! This was next-level service which we have never encountered in any other resort. And your generosity in showering us with gifts was amazing and greatly appreciated. Let us not forget the grace and generosity of the management especially for the way they looked after us for our late departure time, despite having to manage a private wedding by the beach. Many thanks to Bernadine, hotel manager and Henry, general manager for their hospitality beyond bounds. This lengthy review would not be complete without a special mention of Rumari and its larger than life chef, Gaetan Biesuz, better and affectionately known as Chef G by his restaurant staff. His passion for creating amazing cuisine culminated in 3 nights and breakfasts of degustation perfection. Like the rest of the entire resort, no matter how magnificent the food was, it would have not reached such incredible levels if not for his engaging personality and desire to meet and speak to us regarding his hopes and vision of creating truly special meals for us. Dear Raffles Bali, You have a marvellous resort here. A true gem comprising a stunning location, luxury in its villas and facilities which is elevated to new and astonishing heights by the people who make up Raffles Bali. Thank you !

Raffles Bali is an undeniably beautiful resort, with a level of service and attention to detail that’s genuinely world-class. From the moment we arrived, the experience felt elevated, intimate, and highly personalised. Our villa was spacious, well appointed, and thoughtfully designed. The little touches, like the lavender-scented post-shower oil (which promoted the most heavenly sleep), added a quiet layer of indulgence. Every element felt considered. Our butler, Krishna, was outstanding. He had an intuitive understanding of our preferences, often anticipating our needs before we voiced them. His friendly and professional manner played a major role in shaping our overall experience. Chef G personally introduced himself during check-in and offered a overview of the resort’s F&B options. Dinner at Rumari, the resort’s main restaurant, was a standout - delicious, with Chef G making a point to check in between courses to ensure everything was perfect. Breakfast, also at Rumari, is served high above the treetops with sweeping views of the ocean. It’s clear they take great pride in their morning offering — and rightly so, it’s one of the best we’ve experienced in Bali. Cocktails at the bar were of a similarly high calibre, and the more relaxed Loloan Beach Bar & Grill by the pool offered a more casual yet high-quality alternative. That said, the resort is VERY quiet — almost to a fault. The silence is palpable, and while that may appeal to guests seeking complete solitude, we found it verged on too subdued. A touch of atmosphere - perhaps some live acoustic music at sunset or soft entertainment in the evenings - would have provided some atmosphere and improved our enjoyment of the public spaces and encouraged us to linger longer. Our other note is regarding the cost of wine. While premium pricing is expected at a property of this calibre, the mark-ups were unusually high, even by Bali standards — with a bottle of rosé setting us back over AUD$200. Any meal, especially accompanied with wine/cocktails etc was costly. Raffles Bali is a sanctuary of calm, ideal for those seeking peace, privacy, and attentive service. While we appreciated many elements of our stay, we would have welcomed a little more energy around the resort, especially in the evenings. Three nights was more than enough for us. A truly special place — just one best suited to those looking for complete tranquillity. I would not recommend for families.
