Raffles Bali

Our stay at Raffles Bali was remarkable, marked by attentive and thoughtful service throughout. There are so many highlights to share, one particular highlight was how we were shuttled to a temporary villa to rest while waiting for our villa to be ready, and for providing late check-out facility on the day we depart. We truly appreciate the lengths the team go to make our stay super comfortable and we feel very well taken-care of. Arrival - we were surprised to be greeted by the staff member even before passing immigration, and to have our bags be ready by the time we were done. Both rides from and to airport were so comfortable. Villa - was amazing, the bed is comfortable, plenty of space, loved that we have both his and hers wardrobe space, and the bathroom's bigger than the size of many rooms. Loved the bale where we could watch planes landing and taking off from Ngurai Rai airport. Food - very good. We particularly enjoyed the food at Rumari, the kinmedai fish and the beef pasta was excellent. We had pizza at Loloan, and course dinner at Purnama Bale that was great too. Breakfast was good but personally, after 2 days, I wish for more local selection since I'm fond of local Indonesian dishes. Dessert starts to feel the same after seeing the same petit fours / cake offering on birthday cake, birthday dessert tray, after dinner petit four, afternoon tea tray. Housekeeping - Room's very clean, and turndown service was consistent. One particular note is that there are some white specks floating in the pool water that was only removed by engineering team on our last day. Perhaps it wasn't cleaned as regularly. The housekeeping and engineering team were very responsive and fixed an issue that we needed help on on our last day, we're very appreciative and thankful. Service - Special shoutout to our butler Jerikho who prepared birthday surprise, Seva on the last day, Ratih, Widya also other staff members we missed the names of (you folks are great) from Rumari, Loloan, Writers Bar and the Spa, the drivers who picked us from and sent us to airport, staff who shuttled us around on buggy, Bu Bernardine, and all the staff members who we've encountered throughout the stay. Everyone was attentive, and friendly. They even remembered our food preference and birthday celebration. All in all - this is an excellent stay for folks who want to enjoy a relaxing stay with great service while still maintaining some level of privacy.

Incredible resort! Incredible hospitality and even better genuine people!

We stayed at Raffles Bali with a baby and left deeply disappointed by the gulf between what is promised and what is delivered. Our assigned butler, Chris Kila, was rarely present and offered no personalised service. He never once greeted us or asked how we were — something even regular buggy drivers at other Bali resorts do without fail. Our nanny, who has worked across many of Bali’s top properties, agreed the service was the worst she had seen. Every interaction felt transactional and indifferent. The failures were consistent: a turn-down service we requested on day one was forgotten, leaving us without fresh towels, water, and bug spray for multiple nights. A non-slip mat for our infant — denied by the butler without checking — was confirmed available by the cleaning team the next day and never delivered. A room service lunch order for our baby was acknowledged 25 minutes late, then delayed a further hour because the kitchen wasn’t open — with no proactive communication to allow us to make other arrangements. Service issues extended beyond the butler. At the pool and at Loloan restaurant, basic attentiveness was consistently lacking. The food quality was genuinely good, and the team at Rumari — particularly Ann and Dika — were a true highlight. The villa is new but very small and flanked by two active construction sites with noise until 9 PM and no privacy from workers. For what Raffles charges, resorts at a fraction of the price have treated us far better. Would not return.

The location was perfect for us. Although the resort is surrounded by nature and feels very secluded, it is only about a 5-minute drive to the town area, which was incredibly convenient. The atmosphere was one of the highlights of our stay. It was peaceful, quiet, and we rarely crossed paths with other guests, which gave us an exceptional level of privacy. As for the villa, words can hardly describe it. Every morning when I opened the curtains, I genuinely had to ask myself whether I was dreaming or awake. The views and surroundings were simply breathtaking. Cleanliness was flawless. During my stays at other hotels in Bali, my shower filter would often become dirty within a day. At Raffles Bali, however, it remained completely clean throughout my stay, which speaks volumes about the quality of the water and the resort’s maintenance standards. The service was truly on another level. I have traveled extensively and stayed at many luxury hotels, including other Raffles properties, but Raffles Bali exceeded all of my expectations. The level of hospitality here was unlike anything I have experienced elsewhere. It genuinely felt like a six-star experience. Most importantly, every single staff member we encountered was exceptionally polite, warm, professional, and kind. Their genuine care and attention made our stay even more memorable. I would like to sincerely thank everyone at Raffles Bali for creating such an unforgettable experience. My wife and I have already promised each other that we will return next year. And when we are fortunate enough to have children in the future, Raffles Bali will undoubtedly be one of the first places we bring them to. That is how special this place has become to us. Without a doubt, this was one of the best hotel experiences of our lives. We cannot wait to come back.
