About the Hotel
Perched high above the desert capital of Jodhpur, Umaid Bhawan Palace is the last of the great palaces of India and one of the largest private residences in the world – set amidst 26 acres of lush gardens. Designed by renowned Edwardian architect Henry Lanchester, the palace is a blend of eastern and western architectural influences. Its majestic 105 – foot high cupola is influenced by the Renaissance, while the towers draw inspiration from Rajput tradition. The lavish interiors with gilt furniture and elegant artwork follow the Art Deco style, complemented by the exotic murals by the self-exiled Polish artist Stefan Norblin. In 1997, the palace was converted into a luxury hotel, and is now managed by TAJ. With this, the TAJ extends its grand luxury palace experience to the city of Jodhpur.

An unforgettable Palace experience!
I had an amazing stay at the Umaid Bhavan Palace. The staff was very generous and had unmatched hospitalality. They even gave us a complimentary upgrade for our stay. I would like to specially thank Mr. Aman Singh Gaur, Mr. Khanchand and Mr. Sikender for going out of their way to make our stay a memorable one! Cannot wait to be back!

Everything was fantastic—from the magnificent location and royal atmosphere to the luxurious room and impeccable hospitality. We stayed in the Royal Suite, and our room was also upgraded, which made the experience even more special. The grand welcome with diya aarti, Rajasthani songs and music, red carpet, and a traditional red royal canopy truly made us feel like royalty. The staff was extremely humble and courteous, especially Sikander and Sadique, who made our stay even more warm and memorable. Every meal—breakfast, lunch, dinner, and even high tea—felt like a royal experience. Yes, it is premium, but absolutely worth it if you want to experience the grandeur and luxury of living in a palace like royalty. A truly unforgettable experience! Umaid Bhawan Palace is breathtaking — magnificent architecture, beautiful landscapes and a truly serene ambience. The royal welcome and warm hospitality by every staff member made our stay extra special. The food was delicious, with the perfect touch of royalty. Beautiful experience staying here, top notch hospitality in every aspect, rooms, food, service...they really care about guest choices, need and preferences. Sikandar ji took a good care explaining about palace by an hour tour, helped in clicking good memories as photos, Karan ji is so keen in serving food, staying here is a golden memories kind of experience.
