About the Hotel
Perched high above the desert capital of Jodhpur, Umaid Bhawan Palace is the last of the great palaces of India and one of the largest private residences in the world – set amidst 26 acres of lush gardens. Designed by renowned Edwardian architect Henry Lanchester, the palace is a blend of eastern and western architectural influences. Its majestic 105 – foot high cupola is influenced by the Renaissance, while the towers draw inspiration from Rajput tradition. The lavish interiors with gilt furniture and elegant artwork follow the Art Deco style, complemented by the exotic murals by the self-exiled Polish artist Stefan Norblin. In 1997, the palace was converted into a luxury hotel, and is now managed by TAJ. With this, the TAJ extends its grand luxury palace experience to the city of Jodhpur.

Can’t have better experience then this
Stayed at this iconic hotel twice in a span of a week. The full staff of the hotel were amazing and caring. Sikander, our butler was excellent so were the front office team specially Shiwani and rejnandni. Bye everyone at Umaid bhawan palace. We will see you again soon. Sikander
My husband and I stayed at the Ume Palace last week. It was one of the most beautiful hotels I have ever seen. The visuals were The service was perfect. Sikander guided a group of us around the hotel which made the stay complete. He was able to explain photographs and paintings that made the stay unique. I would go back in a heartbeat.

What an amazing hotel
What an amazing hotel. I have not stayed in a similarly impressive place (palace) anywhere in the world. We were given a large and very comfortable corner suite. The staff were most friendly, in particular Sikander and the younger barman in the Trophy bar. The food was delicious with an excellent choice of Indian and international specialities. We also very much enjoyed the beautiful pool.

The incredible Umaid Bhawan Palace
The palace is truly amazing. It is a true palace, part of which was converted to a hotel. The service is way beyond one would experience in regular hotels. It is truly a place where one would feel like a royalty. The personnel offers the right level of attention to each guest. I am incredibly grateful for the hospitality and the attention that me and my wife received. Special thanks to our butler Sikander for the hospitality, the Chef for his incredible food, our room caretaker Hookam. At the end of the day, what is a palace without the dedication f it personnel. Planning our proposal!
Swaroop ji was incredibly hospitable during our stay at Umaid Bhawan. I planned a proposal and birthday celebration for my fiancé and he was the biggest help. He not only delivered brilliantly also added some extra surprises that blew us away. He is kind hearted and stayed with us throughout to make sure we had the time of our lives. 🫶🏽
