About the Hotel
Perched high above the desert capital of Jodhpur, Umaid Bhawan Palace is the last of the great palaces of India and one of the largest private residences in the world – set amidst 26 acres of lush gardens. Designed by renowned Edwardian architect Henry Lanchester, the palace is a blend of eastern and western architectural influences. Its majestic 105 – foot high cupola is influenced by the Renaissance, while the towers draw inspiration from Rajput tradition. The lavish interiors with gilt furniture and elegant artwork follow the Art Deco style, complemented by the exotic murals by the self-exiled Polish artist Stefan Norblin. In 1997, the palace was converted into a luxury hotel, and is now managed by TAJ. With this, the TAJ extends its grand luxury palace experience to the city of Jodhpur.

A truly Exceptional Experience
Right from the arrival to departure was a wonderful and we were "wowed" throughout. We felt like we were part of the family. Truly exceptional service by Raval and Saddique at Risala and Rajnandini at reception and Sajjan during welcome. Also other notable exceptional service provided by Shobhith, Gaurav, Jabar and Karan (Risala)and Chetan (photo shoot)

An unforgettable experience
We travel a lot and stay in a lot of hotels and generally very nice ones. The Taj at Jodhpur is simple the best hotel we have stayed at. The hotel and grounds, the welcome, the room, the incredible service made it a memory that will live long in our memories. Thanks Taj Jodhpur for a truely wonderful stay.

A Royal Stay
My parents stayed at the Umaid Bhawan recently and the stay was spectacular. The welcome to the hospitality to the attention to every detail made our stay and experience unforgettable. A special thank you to Malvika who took care of every need and made or welcome and the whole stay exceptional. Kanwar, Siddique and Rudraksh went out of their way to make us feel at home. Also we need to thank Shoaib and Kush, who made each meal spectacular. The local Rajasthani food was simply out of the world! The combination of Umaid Bhawan’s regal charm and the team’s genuine care created an extraordinary experience. This is more than just a stay—it is a memory we will cherish forever.

Become a Royalty yourself at Ummaid Bhavan
Plus: Extraordinary welcome with drums and folk dance, staff is very hospitable, gourmet local food, excellent service. Rooms keeping the old charm with modern amenities. Would like to specially mention Mr Jabbar and Sadiq, Chef Shobht and Karan made our breakfast special and waited for us till 11 am. Rudresh and Jabbar ji took care of dinner to perfection. The old staff is feather in the cap of Ummaid Bhavan.
