About the Hotel
Perched high above the desert capital of Jodhpur, Umaid Bhawan Palace is the last of the great palaces of India and one of the largest private residences in the world – set amidst 26 acres of lush gardens. Designed by renowned Edwardian architect Henry Lanchester, the palace is a blend of eastern and western architectural influences. Its majestic 105 – foot high cupola is influenced by the Renaissance, while the towers draw inspiration from Rajput tradition. The lavish interiors with gilt furniture and elegant artwork follow the Art Deco style, complemented by the exotic murals by the self-exiled Polish artist Stefan Norblin. In 1997, the palace was converted into a luxury hotel, and is now managed by TAJ. With this, the TAJ extends its grand luxury palace experience to the city of Jodhpur.

Birthday fun at Umaid bhawan
We had a great visit with me Sikander singh taking us through the palace and sharing it’s history. The musicians singing happy birthday to my son was a highlight.

An experience like no other
As you enter the gate for Umaid Bhavan, it dawns on you the grandeur of the place and a truly regal experience that’s in store. I would not like to highlight any specific as it would not do justice to the atmosphere they create for the guests. The architecture is breathtaking, especially the open courtyard restaurant at the back. The view of the landscape garden & white marble structure adds to the dining experience. The staff across the hotel is super courteous & accommodates every request. The entire property oozes royalty & makes you feel like one. Special call-out for the amazing ala-carte breakfast spread. You will struggle to find better preparation & presentation anywhere. We were attended by Karan who made us feel totally at home. There is a hotel tour every day in the evening & Sikander usually leads it. Experience guy who knows all the good places to take a picture :) It’s a must visit for anyone who craves one of a kind experience.

Most amazing visit in India
The palace is exquisite but the staff or must say the Umaid Bhawan family is one of a kind. Hospitality is just unmatched. Special mention to the legends who served us with so much grace happiness and love- Rawal, Saddique, Navdeep and I am forgetting few names but this was our best visit in India so far ✨🩷

The Palace never fails to tame my breath away! The suite was marvelous and the service has always been : flawless. A very special mention for Hari, Nishu and Swaroop Ji.
