Fairlawns Boutique Hotel & Spa

This is a stunning g property. We had a beautiful hotel room. All the rooms are different. Excellent food as well. The following is my only complaint: Had a spa appointment for a hot stone massage. This was a very unfortunate experience. First of all, there were a couple of young “influencers” who were in the dressing room taking inappropriate photos of each other. I had to find a toilet to get changed in order to prevent t being part of their “photo shoots!” This should not be happening in a high-end spa. Then, the masseuse did not follow my direction. She seems upset that she had to do this massage. She proceeded to use her body weight, with a huge amount of pressure, on my lower back after I told her to use less pressure and use the hot stones. The hot stones were barely used. Her body weight on my lower back caused a fracture of my sacrum. I reported this to the concierge via email and never received a response. The property and food are fabulous, but avoid the spa!

Our travel agent booked us into Fairlawns for our last night in Johannesburg. It's a beautiful property; a true oasis in the norther suburbs. The staff could not have been nicer.

This is a beautiful location with incredible rooms and food. The spa is incredible and the setting simply brilliant. We loved the experience but overall a little more help with staff service is needed to make it exceptional...on our final day there was a function and we were rather abruptly moved to a new location and both nights we had drink at the bar and had to find staff to serve us....overall however this a great hotel

Perfect for business trips stay during winter and I believe it would be great to visit in summer and spend time in the outdoor spa and the pool. Perfect location as its near Midrand, Sandton and Fourways.

A rejuvenating experience . Everything was perfectly curated and serene. A definite must do when you need to press the reset button
