A good place to stay
We looked for a reasonably-priced hotel in the convention center area. The room was spacious and comfortable, and it had refrigerator (bar items for purchase, but there was room for our own stuff), coffee maker, and hair dryer. We had a view of other buildings that were far enough away to be able to see some things--lately it seems I find myself looking out if a hotel window to see a wall. The bedroom trash bin had a separate space for recycling. We ate dinner at the bar after getting in late, and it was good. We asked the morning desk clerk for suggestions for coffeeshops, and he drew locations on a map for us. The ones that we checked out were good--I will go there again when I return to KC for a conference in a month.

Wonderful World of Hyatt Property in Downtown KC!
My wife and I stayed here for a quick weekend city break since I had a World of Hyatt certificate and this is consistently rated the best Category 4 property in the country. It did not disappoint: Hotel Kansas City seamlessly mixes a historical and charming lobby with perfectly-renovated rooms that both greatly exceeded our expectations. Perfectly appointed bathrooms, a courteous staff, and two cocktail spaces (the Classic lobby bar and Nighthawk basement cocktail/entertainment club) were all highlights. Another fantastic Unbound Collection that I would highly, highly recommend!

Great boutique hotel
Service, rooms, architecture, experience. This place has it all. Beautiful historic buildings with lots of places to explore and see. Room was a good size and we were very happy with our stay. We stayed 6 nights while in town for a conference for my husbands work.

Great staycation place
Very beautiful hotel. Stunning lobby and we had a great night at the bar. Didn't have a chance to try the restaurant but would try next time. Premium location in downtown with nice street views. The room was bery clean, but smaller and darker than thought. Overall great!

Great hotel experience
We had a beautiful experience at the hotel Kansas City. The atmosphere was impeccable. Our room was very comfortable. We enjoyed breakfast and cappuccino both mornings. Location is great for those who want to enjoy some fine dining or vibe in the downtown nightlife.
