The Ritz-Carlton Kapalua, hidden within the folds of Maui's verdant landscape, is the picture of posh. This decorated AAA Five-Diamond Award beachfront resort, which recently underwent a $180-million transformation, sits on a 54-acre expanse and is more magnificent than ever. From the airy guest rooms to the half-dozen restaurants, The Ritz-Carlton Kapalua will amaze even the most seasoned of travelers. Its stylish rooms boast new furnishings and amenities, including dark wood floors, flat-panel televisions, sleek marble bathrooms with showers and separate tubs, spacious lanais, and island-inspired artwork. Insomniacs will enjoy the convenience of the 24-hour ocean view fitness center and yoga studio. Perhaps the resort's piece de resistance, though, is the addition of a new 17,500-square-foot spa retreat boasting 15 plush treatment rooms, private outdoor shower gardens, a pair of al fresco couples cabanas, plus relaxation areas fashioned after volcanic stone grottos and outfitted with whirlpools, steam rooms and saunas.

We splurged and decided to stay at the Ritz Carlton and it was an amazing experience! We felt so pampered and love this location. It felt like we were lost in our own little world. Love how there are so many trails nearby and fun little spots. We had fun walking Kapalua trail, walking down to the beach and getting an acai bowl, walking to the labyrinth, etc. Service was spectacular here as well! Associates remembered our names and everyone had a smile! We were surprised with champagne and chocolate covered strawberries and a suite upgrade too! They really made our trip special. One gripe I had though was the weekend we were here, the jazz festival was going on. We inquired about it at the front desk, but she seemed to know nothing about it (like we asked about tickets, etc.) - only to find out when we arrived at our prepaid buffet breakfast the next morning, they stopped seating guests at 9:30am! They did not inform us that... We got to take food to go, but a lot of it was gone already from everyone else packing food to go. Poor communication on that end. Waste of $80... Oh, and it was a little annoying that everything had an upcharge despite the resort fees. None of the activities available was complimentary. The walks and hikes were cancelled due to rain so I ended up going on my own, unguided. The $60 mandatory valet was such ROBBERY too. I know it was a bougie stay, but still crying. Loved the live music every evening in the lobby area! Food was just okay though... we ate at Banyan tree and all the food came out lukewarm, which in my head is a little gross. Makes me think they premade all the food and reheated everything. Pool was nice as well. The spa was the best part. Loved my therapist Kalecia! Felt amazinggg and the amenities were fantastic and relaxing. Could've stayed there forever!

From the welcome to departure, this place delivers everything you would expect from a Ritz hotel. The suites are comfortable and spacious. The smart toilets are a ‘revelation’. The food was outstanding. I was a little pensive about attending a Ritz, given its standards regarding dress code and decorum but I needn’t have been concerned. Yes it has standards but it’s so chilled. Staff from the bell hops to the top guy were without doubt faultless. If you fancy a bit of luxury, I can’t think of a better example of paradise.

The Staff at check in was great but that was the lone highlight. They do not have enough shade at the pool. There are about 7 umbrellas-tiki huts and that is it. This is the rainy side of the island. The food was not good in the lobby bar but the live music and overall vibe was great. Lots of activities right at the property.

From the time we arrived, it felt like a dream! We went on our honeymoon and it did not disappointment. Staff is beyond friendly and helpful. Margie helped us at the front desk. We ended up being upgraded for our honeymoon and the room was AMAZING. Marybeth met us at the front and gave us our leis. She also had prosecco sent up to the room which made us feel so incredibly special. The pools are so relaxing! The lounge was also amazing and is so worth adding onto any package. It is open bar all day, breakfast, enhanced snacks from 4-8 with specialty cocktails. Such a beautiful hangout and such a nice place to unwind, meet up with other friends. The staff are truly exceptional. We also did the luau, which was awesome. Such a beautiful show and presentation. The buffet was exceptional. They had so much to choose from, bar was awesome. They had some vendors beforehand to explore and they took beautiful group photos before. We did the spa one day and got a couples massage. The therapists were great! However, the shared communal space is minimal, so it took the fun out of going to the spa "together", since males and females have their own jacuzzi, cold plunge, steam room, and sauna area. The only downside is that the beach area is not the best. I do recommend driving down the road a bit to the larger beach area. However, The Burger Shack had a BBQ and music on Friday evening and we are so happy we decided to eat there! It was such a great atmosphere and the food was great!! Love the property, short walk to a bunch of shops, deli, and shaved ice. Would absolutely stay here again! It was a amazing. :)

Stayed here 10 years ago for our honeymoon and is still 10/10 resort. Beautiful property and stands up after all this time. Food was amazing and we are foodies. Spa is one of the best I have ever been in.
