Inadequate spa
We were looking forward to our very pricey massages at what is billed as a luxury spa, but it was one of the most bare-bones places I’ve been. There wasn’t a single amenity beyond water. We were told we couldn’t use the showers afterward because they were booked back to back, so we left covered in oil with nowhere to clean up. Our one-hour massages were also cut short because of the tight scheduling. When I raised this at the front desk, there was no apology, only an explanation that it’s a “day spa” and that’s how their appointments work. If you’re looking for luxury, don’t go here. You can get the same level of service at a no-frills massage spot for a fraction of the price.

Worst birthday dinner
We just returned from a stay here. Booked it as a treat for my husband's 65th birthday. As soon as I had booked it - we called them to ask them whether it was accessible - we were told there were only a "couple of stairs" to the room. Our room was on the third floor! They did give us an alternative - which was okay. We had booked for dinner at their fine dining place - I called them up to tell them that I was a vegetarian and their set 4-course menu at 185$/head - seemed to offer few options for that. They told me that their chef was highly experienced in accomodating different dietary needs - thhe food was SIMPLY AWFUL. OVER TRUFFLED, OVER SALTED AND OVER GARLICKY. To make matters worse - they brought out our dessert after the first course. When we were checking out this morning, the guests ahead of us had similar complaints about the food at the Fine dining place. NEVER EAT THERE

Wonderful For Our First Time in New England
The WBI has a great location. The cottages on the water are great for privacy and comfort. Dining is wonderful with a lot of attention to detail. The staff works very hard to make your stay a good one. It is expensive so expect a lot.

Hands down the place to stay in Kennebunkport! Service, food, and amenities are at the highest level! Already recommended it to all my friends and family. We will be back!
